And mapletips say you can't use duey to send people items and meso. Not that i'm for it (or particularlly against it, if i'm honest) but nexons not exactly running a typo free game here. I wouldn't be surprised if a large amount of people were assuming that.

Soooo... Why WOULD they have been banned.
Cause people are bitching about x8 exp and saying that's a reason people should be banned because "it's too high"
If you don't like the x8, don't use it. Doesn't really affect you except some people might be a higher rank than you. This is like leeching all over again.
To those of you who are all ZOMG don't do this it's bad and not supposed to do this blah blah (specially the 1 person on my BL in here whos doing it) thikn of it this way, how many times has Nexon/Wizet thrown us Surprise Server checks, Patches that needed to be Re-Patched(infact.. didnt v0.68 need to be patched liek a day and a half later?) Bosses with every changing stats and circumstances(yay 2K damage Bombs @ Pap, i mean 10 K, no i mean 23K, no i mean 4K, or even yay 32K stomp from BF, no i mean 9K, no i mean 39K, no i mean 1 damage...), and even those horrendous roll backs of doom? Just mark this 8K exp as a gift from the Nexon Gods, we never got any compensation for Bigfoots stats changing around like mad, or Paps bombs..... so unless im told not to, i wont. The same thing in my eyes happens with Leeching people with AMs/Bishops, people were leeching as much as they saw fit without thinking about it till Nexon started banning peoples for it, and updating the TOS (well from what ive herd they did to include Selling or Buying leech) and now that this has happened we know they don't want us doing it... so untill they say dont use 8X exp.. i say go for it, they fucked up coding it without testing it properly and we shouldn't be punished for anything like that.
This time, even I think it's a glitch because of the clear evidence going for it. ALL of the entitlements say they don't stack.

Contrary to before:
Heidi Wrote:This reminds me of the misting of Bigfoot. People that gained from it just denied that it was bad to abuse it until people were banned for it (And even then some still didn't get it).
Where there was nowhere written on Bigfoot or any of it's associated quests informing players that it's not operating correctly.
Heidi Wrote:As for people that went as far as 32x EXP... I really do hope that it ends in a permanent ban. That is so obviously wrong. Common sense goes a long way.
You wouldn't need "common" sense to figure this out. It says so on the card, therefore, it's wrong.
That being said, I keep hearing misinformation about these. First I hear it's 8x, then 16x, then 24x, and then people claiming 32x. Wth? How high exactly does it go? Are there factors that we haven't considered yet (exp from monster cards, HS, party bonuses)?
Also, how do people gain so many rep points that they can sustain continual 2x? Eventually, the fuel for the rep points have to run out right?
I mean, what are you going to do, go around wasting hours adding people you don't know, so you can save the hours that you lost? (suppose you lost an hour of training adding people, and then you got an hour of 2x, that's like the same thing.) I don't know how the mechanics of this works, not being in a family, but doing this glitch just doesn't sound sustainable.

Harrison to the rescue
And I was looking for that article. I quote:
Quote:What this rule means is that, if you are playing the game in a way that we did not intend, you may be breaking or Terms of Use. Or, to put it another way: If something is questionable, DONT DO IT! Dont tempt fate (or the ban hammer) by trying to technically get away with something or doing something that is obviously incorrect just because we havent directly denounced it on the forums yet or in the Terms of Use. This advice goes for all aspects of Nexon Games, not just power leveling.

Well, to get tons of rep, just enslave two juniors dedicated to training, then force those two to get two juniors each also dedicated to training. Then you'd have a 6-person rep workforce for you. But technically, you can get rep mules to sustain infinite 2x though. It would just take quite a long time, if my assumption about how rep is gained is correct. That would probably fall more into abuse though instead of glitching. About bigfoot, Nexon banned because it assumed that maplers had enough common sense to know that 2.6mil exp in 40 seconds was not intended. Even if the event restrictions weren't listed on the entitlements (and if it were possible), 32x exp falls into that insane exp category as well.

Oh, it's easy. I don't know about the whole adding random people part, but it looks like a lot of families are intertwined to the point where a couple of small families turn in to a 200-person family. Since plenty of people train during 2x events such as the ones Nexon held this weekend, it wasn't hard for tons of people in my guild, myself included, to get past like 25k rep in oneday. While this amount of rep was probably only accumulated due to the majority of trainers training on 8x, it still exemplifies how just a couple hours of your Jr. training can give you enough rep for a day or two, easy.
This has to be one of the finest Nexon fuck ups I've ever been able to take advantage of.

I'm also pretty much the most idealistic moral person playing maplestory ._.
You realize the only people that could take advantage of the 8x were people using NX, right? And that 4x is just as illegal if you are stacking family goods + exp event...same goes for 3x. So it's not just people abusing it with 8x.
It's highly unlikely any real action will be taken aside from a SC or patch. I'm pretty sure a ton of people took advantage of this, and a good chunk of them were NX users. Banning your primary target group is a bad idea. With Bigfoot, it was only a handful of people taking advantage (only 2 classes could). And banning people who "level too fast" doesn't work anymore, not with oodles of people Bigfoot leeching and leeching in general...
Honestly, in my opinion, a lot of the opposition is tainted slightly by jealousy. I find it hard to believe that everyone in Maple is morally rigid...especially based on how I often see people get treated at popular maps (kill stealing, name calling, defaming and such on). But, really, don't try to argue with me by saying "OMG IT'S NOT JEALOUSY f5f5" because, as this is my opinion, I won't give a pineapple. 8D

Unfortunately, jealous faggots who were training on normal 2x as opposed to the ungodly 8x probably bawwwwed to the point where they sent in glitch tickets to Nexon.

lol That was basically my thoughts exactly. I think off the top of my head I only know of one or two people who were training only on 4x and not 8x like the huge majority of active trainers this weekend.
Also if no one's confirmed this set, family cards do not stack on each other, and the 2x drop and 2x exp cards don't stack with each other either. All this from personal experience.
It's actually really easy to replenish rep without going to desperate measures...my two jr's are both friends and happen to like training...so lucky me.
Geez people. Don't try shoving down other people's throats what's right or wrong. It only raises havoc and each person is responsible of what they do. Whether it be right or wrong they'll do what they want anyways, so meh. They aren't gonna change.
I personally wish this would've come out a few months ago. I think I would've had a good bit of fun testing all these possibilities out. Granted, my lazy ass prolly would never train with it, but that's besides the point. XD
I'll assume it's a typo til I see a statement from Nexon saying not to do it. If sitting out on good experience because you're a goody two-shoes makes you feel empowered, then right on. If taking part of the best experience possible without hacking makes you happy like the vast majority of people, then until it is deemed bannable, right on.
I enjoyed my 8x this weekend with onyx apples courtesy of my friend and training partner for those who care.

Well, I'm sure they'll fix it in the future...some time.
But when they do I highly doubt they'll be banning. Especially when the 2x could be forcefully put onto a junior through Family bonding.
Furthermore, it's their event to compensate for their messup with the previous patch. To introduce bans for taking advantage of their 'compensation' would be a huge PR disaster for them.
And lastly, we all know how they never admit to their mistakes, so if they even comment on this, without quietly fixing it, they'll probably state: "Hope you enjoyed the INTENTIONAL stacking of entitlements as compensation for the glitches of the last week! "
or something to that extent.
