You get less exp in a starter zone than you do in a level appropriate area.

Best way to level is to stay in a zone that corresponds to your level and do as many events as you can.

Why? Hell of a lot better than finding 15 monster types EVERY DAY.

Wait a second, I thought the scaling made it so you gain pretty much the same exp as you would if you were that level.

Felt faster for me anyways.

I just do the maw + mobs surrounding, and head to metrica province for the rich copper vein by the krait.

Waaat.

I did Caledon and Metrica right after finishing Kessex Hills and I got more levels doing each of those than I did in the entirety of Kessex.

I'm doing Harathi Hinterlands right now, so I guess we'll find out later. :f6:

Hell of a lot easier than before though. And rewards are better.

EXP from kills doesn't scale to character level. Everything else does. It's not a huge deal since only a small percentage of your exp comes from kills, but it's noticeable.

It's actually kind of weird for 1-15 since there is a boosted exp table that starts at 2x exp at level 1 and drops back to normal exp by level 15. So you might level faster from 15-25 in a starter zone. But at higher levels, the exp from kills will matter more.

Edit: Thinking about this more, that doesn't make sense. It probably just has to do with how fast you were killing mobs and how many events you encountered.

Ah, so that was it. See, I 100%ed all the five starter zones Rolleyes.
