How was your day?

So I went to Ruth's Chris Steak house.

That's 16 ounches of USDA beef on a 500 degree plate, the juices still sizzling. Each tender bite was so soft it was like taking small nips of a baby's ass. The fat was fried on each end, adding a flavorful kick in the mouth at the beginning and at the end. Best steak I ever had in my life and is now my new "special occasion" restaurant.

I went there last week, and ate the same thing.
Really good place.

My section manager saw me this morning and says he wants to see me later today . I'm scared though I don't think it's a big deal otherwise it would be urgent, RIGHT?! RIGHT!? ;-;

Well he hasn't requested me to go see him as of yet, so I don't think it's anything serious. Probably about the lateral move, or that's what I'm hoping for

Went to an information session for a school I'm interested in applying in right after school, didn't come home until 8 PM.

Ate bad yogurt yesterday, paying for it now. I don't want to take sick leave cus I'm still waiting for that manager to call me in, I'm still confident it's about the job I wanted, which means working home 4 days out of the week which pretty much takes gas out of my expenses lmao.

To update, I saw both my floor manager/section manager, in the same room. I was nervous as all hell because the only time I've seen this guy is if I did a f`uck up. So we go in, he shakes my hand, gives me a piece of f`ucking cake and tells me congratz I got selected. Which was like 1/250 people who were applying for it.

So I start on november 27th, although that's a furlough day, and thursday/friday are off, so i don't think I /actually/ start until like december 1st lmao. In about a year I'll be able to telework a lot apparently.

I had some change leftover after buying my train ticket this morning and decided to buy myself a bar of chocolate, didn't realise there was some sort of promotional giveaway and I had a winning code in my wrapper:

In other news I have an essay due in this Friday and I'm pretty nervous, its 45% of my first year grade @_@ the title is "Can you doubt that the material world exists? Examine Descartes’ reasons for claiming that you can."
Short answer is yes. Long answer has to be ~1850-2250 words, I have about 1500 done so far. I'm usually pretty good at writing essays but it's been ages since I wrote an important one.

Got to my great grandmas safe after a whole night of driving. Sadly, I'm bored :/ its not that I don't like spending time with family, its that I barely spend time with my great grandma and great aunt that its just kinda meh.

And I miss the girl I'm dating we keep snapchatting how much we miss each other D:

Today I realized that I'm only looking forward to two things in my life. Moving in with my brother next May, and every Friday that I get to hang out with my high school buddies.

A week away from finishing Insanity. Then going to jump into Insanity Asylum.

So proud of my dad right now hahaha.

My dads trying to jump into the next payscale, which is the highest you can be in civil service. The problem is the job he was in required to him to essentially have a foundation of engineering in order to make that jump. He did apply for a supervisor like job which would have bumped him, but they had to turn him down because he hasn't had enough leadership positions.

So he decided to switch to a leadership position within the company, and he's really happy because he doesn't have to travel overseas anymore. Not even, 3.Fu`cking.Days, a General calls him into his office to show him an email, seeing essentially the Director of his previous job begging for him to come back. And wants him as vice director, but still would be in the same payscale. So my dad told the General essentially "You have to sweeten the pot, next scale up or nothing". Has these mother fuckers by the balls. lmao

So proud of my dad right now hahaha.

Finally got enough material to write a worthwhile story that I been fighting to do.

When you get your Ph.D you'll be making jobs for other people to work while you get grant stipends and spearhead major research projects. When you have a degree like that you should be challenging your own thinking and finding ways to set up your own for profit venture in the field you're studying.
