I'm just starting a hole new Spearman/DK/DrK at El Nido, and i'm only a Swordman but i'm already thinking in my 4th job Build (my 2nd and 3rd are done) and i was thinking going like this:

Level 120: +1 Berserk, +1 Rush, +1 Monster Magnet
Level 121: +3 Berserk
Level 122: +1 Berserk, +2 Beholder
Level 123: +3 Beholder
Level 124: +3 Beholder
Level 125: +2 Beholder, +1 Berserk
Level 126-134: +3 Berserk
After that i don't know where to put, any ideias?

Once berserk is maxed im inclined to say Stance primarily if you wanna boss, or Beholders Buff if you're gunna wait

Once I hit Level 153 or so, should I give a shot at soloing both Bodyguard A and B?

You need more % str imo, but even if you're total % is significantly less than mine, you will kill BGA slower than me, but you'll kill BGB much faster than me. Despite me killing all 3 of them as efficiently as anyone except archers.

So I can get an idea what's up with BGA, what's your DPS? I've thought about giving it a shot on my Paladin. If I'm running the numbers right, I can manage 360k dps on a 25 PDR fire-weak mob, or 420k when DS activates.

MP bazooka drops your MP to 1.

How annoying, guess you either stay out of range (how far?), stand on him or use invincibility frames...

Horizontal range can be compared to ranged character ranges. Vertical range...you can avoid the MP bazooka if you jump.

Regarding BGA/BGB....

Is it still feasible to solo BGA and BGB if I can dish out ~1.5mill damage in 10 seconds (9 mill damage/minute)? I threw some numbers around and if things go well, I can solo both forms in about 2 hours, estimated.

I wonder if maxed Revenge of the Beholder will help out with DPS since I'll be hugging those mofos like no tomorrow, and my Beholder will only attacks the monster I get attacked by. I can imagine how Sacrifice + touch damage will drain my HP hard. B> Use slot expansions. :\

Don't bother soloing, you'll regret it. Not to mention you can't hit it half the time, which means it won't get pinned, which leads to eternal stun. You'll get more exp training as a dark knight then going grandpa. Duoing, on the other hand, isn't such a bad idea for you.

I will not be attempting a solo until my DrK is at least Level 153 (BGA's level is 152). I know its notorious chain stun. That's why I'm waiting until I can 100% hit it + hug to avoid the chain stun. At this moment, I'm only looking at options.

Hex is a "smart buff" now; it won't override any other buff that is stronger than what the Hex ATT buff gives. For instance, if you have an Apple on and the Hex of the Beholder Buff on, the Beholder will not buff you with the Hex ATT buff while the Apple is on.

However, it does stack with Dragon Blood.

I'll video how I solo BGA. Simply put you get on any chest, or even the ropes, and jump sacrifice. Pot while you're mid air, I can get about 30-36 consecutive hits before one stun, and that's normally because the game does that stupid botting thing.

Takes me about half an hour on all 3 and get about 10%.

Nope. Otherwise everyone who had soloed BGA/BGB/Grandpa would be dead within one chain stun by now.

Anyways....

[spoiler=Something I've been debating...]So recently, I acquired a VIP Spear. One of my regrets is that I cannot make a perfect VIP (+9 50%s). Some factors though, hindered this:

1) Pam's Song. Expensive if used many times, and it came out of nowhere this week. "SURPRISE BUTTSECKS"?
2) Only had 9 pink scrolls in my possession. And I had no more mesos to get more from FM shops.
3) On top of #1-2, I noted that I would need at least 18+ Pinks and at least 4 Pam's Song to pull this off.
4) Spent a lot on VIP Spear. I won't go into details, but its a lot.
5) Add #1-4 and the cost is huge.

I wonder if its really worth it to spend up to $200 worth of NX just to get a perfect VIP. I do use NX here and there, but getting a huge chunk all at once is somewhat...scary as hell. Then I question myself a bit. After quitting MS back last year and coming back in the summer, I try to limit the amount of NX I use, mostly trying to live off whatever I can (until I started cubing a bit ).

So....any opinions?

Is the VIP clean better than what you have now? If it is you can always just wait it out and see if you come across some funds. Or do that even if its not better. Other than that I dunno really...hope for the best while throwing scrolls at it?

I pretty much dumped Pinks on it; came out 147 ATT with 14 ATT and 7 DEX potential (SS is in the Godly Scrolled items thread)

(Plus Pam's Song made a surprise appearance this week)

In comparison my Alchupiz is 145 ATT with 6% ATT 12 DEX epic potential

And after getting 3 Pinks from a friend + buying the VIP Spear, I'm somewhat drained in funds :/
