Okay... deciding I want to keep EX Punto Wave but now the question is... do I keep INT training for my max Press/Supersword or dump that for Good Hit? I want to get Good Hit somehow. :c

Ew, why INT? You're practically getting most of your power from STR. Get Good Hit, that 10% hit rate will be a godsend in maintaining combos and making sure your big cube skills won't miss.
IllegallySane Wrote:Ew, why INT?

Because Chaser Press and Supersword use magic attack due to the use of chasers and those are the biggest cube skills I use.

I refuse to not get Good Hit, so I might end up dropping INT after all...

Well... 75 INT is roughly a 30% base damage increase to Press and Supersword, if that helps. So if it says on the description Super Sword does ~4,000 per orb it'll jump to ~5,200 per orb, just making up numbers on the spot. But yea, you wouldn't want to miss with your cube skills so Good Hit is a must. It'll help make Masters/Kings Road less NOFUNALLOWED due to the troll miss rates.

So I was messing with the Korean planner again (because ASPS isn't updated with the new skills). Turns out I can max both Full Swing AND Chaser Press but at the cost of Battle Groove. Is this worth doing? If not, which one would be worth maxing, Swing or Press?

Only reason I considered dropping Groove is because I don't even know how it works. SI apparently fixes it as to where the buffs stay active even after the combo ends but there is no indicator as to how long that even lasts. At least with Chaser buffs there's a buff icon, Battle Groove doesn't have that. It's confusing as hell.

Stop. What are you doing. No. Stop. You don't need anything higher than 1 press. Full swing and Meteor Dash are apparently really good to max post patch. I'm still not sure how I want mine to be, but press has no purpose being higher than 1. Unless you're Sera's magic based bm.

MariaColette Wrote:Well, I got my regular skills down (dropping Water Chaser, it was nice while it lasted), but I'm a bit lost on the EXes... I originally had EX Full Swing, Mana Shield, Palm Blast, Chaser Upgrade, Good Hit and Strength. Then I noticed that I might need INT for Supersword and Chaser press and after looking into EX Punto Wave, it looks like a good investment. But I'd need to sacrifice Good Hit and Palm Blast for both of those. I'M SO CONFOOSED. :c

Here's what I'm getting:
3 Str bonus
3 Hit Rate
3 Elemental Attack
3 Palm Blast
2 Chaser Upgrade
3 Punto Ex
6 Full Swing Ex

Apparently mana shield EX sucks pretty hard, so it's ditched in favor of elemental attack bonus, which ups our chaser damage. I still am iffy about elemental attack bonus. Might be better to substitute good training bonus or int here. We'll see.

Mmkay you're right on Press since I'm mainly physical, so now I know what to drop, lol. I'm curious as to why it's not worth maxing? It's one of the few skills that don't depend on the x-axis, something I find to be quite useful with enemies who are all NOPE to x-axis skills. Might not bother getting INT then if I do keep it at 1 but I mainly want to squeeze it in for a more powerful Supersword. Not sure if it'll be worth it just for that.

How much does Mana Shield EX give? If it's that bad, I can drop that and get both INT and Palm Blast. Not getting Elemental Attack Bonus because I only use my Chasers for buffs and rarely for damage.

EDIT: I'm not sure if the planner just has an incorrect SP/TP value (was told we get 23 TP, planner shows 21) but here's what I got so far.

Unsure of whether or not the SP value is correct on the planner, which is why Meteor Dash is missing a level. Also kept EX Mana Shield in there until I can figure out which is more worth getting (and whether or not the planner is missing 2 TP).

EDIT: DISREGARD THAT LINK, PLANNER IS MESSED UP. >:l

Ex Mana shield:
-Increases HP to MP ratio by 2% per level
-Increases damage absorption by 1% per level

Not really worth it for a 3% reduction increase.

You really should be using your chasers for damage as well as buffs. Our chasers help our mediocre attack strength and allow us to combo and mob more efficiently. I honestly think my chasers do more than I do sometimes.

Chaser press uses all our chasers and puts it into a big attack. Truthfully, it's really not useful as it requires 1)lots of good damage chasers 2)time to set up. I just don't see the usefulness of leveling it past 1 and ignoring other skills that are much more useful like full swing. Honestly, full swing should be enough y axis, and even your last hit in xxx is y axis. I usually just use xxx followed by a chaser for y axis hitting.

You should have 23 TP. 2 come from a quest and it's not up there.

I'm also unsure about elemental attack bonus. I pretty much need to see if the 75 int boost outweighs the elemental damage boost or if they're close enough I can get int instead.

I do that, actually. And personally, it's not really hard setting up Chaser Press, I find myself using it quite often. I still have a Lethe's Contract saved so I guess I'll use that and see how I fare with max Press before I change my mind.

You really should use your chasers as damage though. Instead of 1 big burst with press.
bluh

I think the "traditional" download is corrupted, I tried to open it like 3 times and each time I did, Firefox froze and I had to force a reboot. @_@

So now I'm installing with the Pando client. bluhhhhh

If I get my new laptop today, it'll probably be like two days before I can start playing, since I have like 35 GB of games to download (WoW, G/KMS, DFO) plus a bunch of other things. :I
Guys, go ahead and scream without me.
