+1. I can't wait.

Also, I think I'm going to have to just play a carry when I do ranked. I've been stuck with such terribad teams that leave me to tank/support/jungle but those roles rely on team coordination which evidently is hard to come by in ELO hell. My games with Ashe, Cait and Lux all went really smoothly.

I'm pretty sure I deleted that "Want Leona" thing o,o hmmm weird. Nah though, I'm not so sure I want Leona, I've found out she's a great tank after all, but blind buying is not something I'm good at even if I say it xD I'll wait till I try her on her free week.

So yeah, someone remind me of insta-buying Monkey king when he comes out before I start thinking about checking other people playing him.
Yeah, sometimes the best thing to do is not give a damn about team comp and just play someone you're good with and not compensate for randoms.
Kog'Maw with a Frozen Mallet and company vs. Garen, Udyr, and company

GG!

 One game from last night

Played a few games with my IRL friend last night (he was on GP). This game was very challenging, in the fact that it looked like we were going to lose. Bottom fed the mandropper so much that he was super-fed mid-game and very hard to kill. He dealt so much damage that I couldn't even stand it as the trolling Singed. Late game, we managed to come back, and after the other team made some huge blunders in teamfights, we were able to push in and take out the Nexus.
So as Kaj described in the quoted post, it was pretty much Koggles domination at the very end. Anyways, at the beginning, things were somewhat even at the beginning. At one point, there was a teamfight after we saw the other team at Dragon.

We were behind a bit (had 3 turrets down), but then we started coming back. First, our Lux pretty much did a lot of sniping with her ult, and landed a good number of them. She got plenty of kills and got legendary status. Meanwhile, Kaj starts getting fed in teamfights and vomited on carries as fast as he could (but he admittedly told me he was going rambo on Koggles a bit too much).

Eventually, we started winning a lot of teamfights. GP's ult, me and Shen's initiations, Kaj's fast vomiting, and Lux's nukes got us through. And Kaj did a lot of nasty sniping, even taking out Garen from far away while he was tower hugging at mid.

For some reason, I got focused like crazy during teamfights, and got killed quite a few times. But of course, my death wasn't in vain most of the time. Presenting self as threat achieved?

Also...one (now huge) problem I have with Leona is her farming capabilities. I do my best to last-hit whenever I can, but my auto-attacks are pitifully weak, especially early game. And later on, I try to utilize Eclipse to farm up creeps, but only with some success. I really need to work on this because this is preventing me from building up the items I need. Damn tank farming problems. Even Shen outfarmed me. >_>
Philo stone and HoG as your first items would be a huge boost to your late mid game through late late game will.

Something to consider.
I'm prob insta-buying The Monkey King when he comes out. I always love him no matter what he's in. Even The Forbidden Kingdom which was a terribad movie.
I usually only build HoG on Leona. Builds into Randuin's Omen, which is like, one of the best possible items to get on her.
I stopped stacking much attack speed after madreds on kog since I have aspd runes anyway.

Boots> Madreds> Cleaver> Mallet> Bloodthirster> Bloodthirster #2

My dps is much better than it used to be late game. Order after madreds varies, but it's usually cleaver then BT
Is it worth is buying defense items (other than mallet) on Kog'maw? I mean, you might as well be dead if they hit you.
Corn Wrote:Is it worth is buying defense items (other than mallet) on Kog'maw? I mean, you might as well be dead if they hit you.

From what I've seen, you can get a QSS (I've seen Kaj use it on Koggles on a regular basis) or a BV just to protect yourself from enemy abilities/debuffs. Otherwise, Koggles doesn't have much options in the defense department. You'd be best trying to build up damage/ASPD (but not full glass cannon)
Claw and I played in a premade 5, not sure how we won since we were all dying early game (I got pwned by a Kayle, Frown). I went 0/6/6 and our team still won! I did tank top inhibitor at one point until it was down to 1/4th health before I was focused upon and killed, and we had just gotten the other 2 about a minute before that. Minion push is what got them in the end, even though they tried to wipe us out one last time after they got Baron.

One thing, I've been using a heavy defensive 9/21/0 mastery setup the past few normal games. It seems to work a little better for me than the 9/0/21 utility heavy one I had used in the past. Even with the longer spell cool downs and whatnot, I seem to not mind it since I'm a little more durable (at least from what I can tell) in most games. Any thoughts on either setup?

Ugh, I fail at having replay loaded... bleh...Claw, did you have replay on by any chance?
We've ALL been dieing? Excuse me, I had a decent score until their Cait scored 3 ults on me Rolleyes.

That was a pretty good game, though.

Not really, mallet gives you a million hp anyway.

In some cases, building hp is more effective than building mr anyway.

Yeah, I saw that, that sucked too. Although our Yorick was pretty hilarious near the end, he'd just go in and smash everyone while Morde would do clean up duties. Good game over all though.

FYI: We had 25 kills to their 35 kills, so yeah, no one died less than 6 times, so I would say we were all getting killed Biggrin

Still, we won by pushing their turrets and killing their inhibitors. So in the end, dying wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Minions FTW!

I'd being going 0/9/21 on taric. 21 utility is too strong to pass up and taric is not going to gain much from 9 points in offense. What runes are you using?

The 9 in Offense is for Archane knowledge since he is more AP? As for Runes: 9 Insight, 9 Clarity, 9 Focus and 3 Potency. I've been reading lately that 9 Force may be the way to go instead of Focus. I don't have enough IP to buy them up yet, so I haven't had a chance to try that out.

Y U NO SAY WHAT RUNES DO?!?!

lol I'm too lazy to look them up. But I'd say that the most useful would be Mpen, Mana regen, CDR (reds/yellows/blues) and the quints can be anything, I think Movement speed or HP would be best since AP isn't THAT important in Taric. For masteries I'd agree on 0/9/21 although the CDR mastery in offense tree is useful. Also since you carry CV the mastery to me is a must, it reduces the cooldown and it increases the time of it.

"Regular basis" definitely consists of one game!

I wouldn't mind advertising QSS or BV on the likes of Ashe, but it seems even less likely for you to get royally screwed over by chance as Koggles. Either kill, or get killed (repeatedly).

Yes, yes, and yes... quints are AP. (you already knew which runes :-P)
