The inner ability changes in u&i basically mean everyone isn't touching inner ability unless they want it unique for easier times later on.

i can't change my 13% boss damage legend rank without NX :C Considering I don't want to use real money on a game that could potentially die in the next couple of years, I'm ok with the 13% boss until that new update when I can use the 200+ circulators I have. At least most of my characters have that +19% buff duration from Epic Rank.

I have 32% buff on my Xenon and 15% crit on my Battle Mage. Now that azwan has an entry limit, I can't be assed to get the inner abilities I want on other characters.

My Luminous has +1passives Legendary ability. He has ONE passive 4th job skill. Very nice. Can't change it out to +1IAS... which is the best DPS increasing IA in general for me.

On the other hand, my Paladin, BaM and Crossbow Master would like a +1passives a lot.

Why would a pali benefit from +1 passives? Does the inner ability break cap as well?

OT: im stuck on epic :S 19% buff duration and i dont feel like using circs because it could drop to rare again T_T

Yes it lets it break the cap. Before RED, this IA benefits paladins a fair bit, particularly because of the mastery part. Now it's crazy awesome for Crossbow Masters. It's still good for BaMs I think...? Because going from 3 ADA DoT stacks to 4 is a good DPS increase.

Just note that only skills that are CO-able can break the cap. So for example the usual 4th job mastery skills break the cap, but Void Elemental cannot break the cap with CO (and not this IA because it isn't a passive). If you see Locked's extractions, those skills that have a level readout beyond their standard level cap (e.g. level 33) are CO-able.

At this level of funding, it's actually worth spending some time calculating which Legendary IA is most suitable for a class and for a given set of stats. Very few people bother about this, but the line ain't as fine as some think, nor is the area that gray or obscure.

True, but im guessing the majority of people fist invest in cubing and scrolling which are arguably easier to do and achieve satisfactory results.

I'm pretty sure void elemental breaks the cap o.o It goes from 30 to 32 for me when I use combat orders.

And back onto passives for pali. Wouldn't a pally gain more from either att +1 inner ability and then going 2h sword, or even 50% buff duration so he doesn't need to recast blast and lose all his charges?

Sorry if I'mnot gettingit. Working at thehospital with a lot less sleep than optimal, so maybe the concept is easy to see for everyone else but me =S It just seems like paladin wouldn't get that much boost with +1 passives compared to what you said, a BaM.

Paladins have few passives now. I was thinking more of pre-RED paladins. My bad. You'll have to check Void Elemental yourself because my com overheated again... sigh.

Also, I said "at this level of funding, it is worth doing..." because this is one of the last things people would spend money/effort on (with the last possibly getting 12 link skill mules to level 210...), and so it is probably necessary to do the calculations.

This IA is under the old system, does the revamped IA still allow to break passive skill cap Without co, decent co?
specifically concerning crit rate for a drk. work with evil eye casting hex for +crit, as well as final pact? i suggest just getting crit rate IA instead of +passive.

@Tigeon Unfortunately, Void Elemental is unaffected by Combat Orders (it's in the skill description).

So for passives, that leaves Paladin Mastery and Advanced Charge... and after comparing their stats with and without Combat Orders on, I don't think they would improve a whole lot with one more level. With Combat Orders active, Paladin Mastery gets +1% mastery, and +1% min crit damage. Advanced Charge gets +1 target and +2% insta-death chance.

With all the changes to 4th job skills, seems like Combat Orders, overall, isn't as shiny as it used to be... Maybe if it wasn't restricted to only 4th job skills...


@TheBlackMage You had me neverous... I've seen a few ppl complain about Blast's buff duration not lasting long enough,so I decided to double check just now. (Had to download a stopwatch app for my phone, had nothing else to time it with). I tested Blast buff duration with my current 19% buff duration IA (my only source of buff duration at the moment). Lasted 53 seconds (without combat orders on), just as expected. [45 x 1.19 = 53.5]

Now if only I could actually land 32% buff duration IA... Used almost 1000 circs already, it continues to elude me. Tongue

Are you going to make a level 100 Mech for the 15% duration buff card?
The best inner ability regarding buff duration I ever saw was 7% buff duration on an epic roll... never seen 19% once.

7% is rare level. Epic is 19%.

Yeah, I'm def planning on it.
And as stated above, inner ability buff duration comes in 7%, 19%, 32% (rare, epic, unique) when you land it on the first line. I've never landed multiple lines of buff duration though it should be possible.

i have this inner (albeit from before the patch changing these happened) anything you want me to check on my DrK? haven't logged on in a while so i can't remember which abilities it raised.
