no its not. hacked characters who had their pendants+1 droped have actually quit cuz of this

A byte is so small though. A few more couldn't possibly do anything harmful. O_O There sure as hell won't be any equip in the future that will reach 1k def anyway. They'll change the def formula before that happens.

Multiply 1 byte by 2. Then multiply it by every item on all servers in a character's backpack. Now, that's will take
1: Longer time to load and get drops. Bzzz.
2: A huge amount of space on a server.

If this is what your thinking-

People can already get the eggs, it's just the repeatable quest that's the problem.

AH, but the egg isn't the "scroll", it's what makes you get it. You only get it if you lost your scrolled pendant... So it should work.
