I would highly suggest you gem out that negative fire resistance armor skill immediately. Some of the biggest hitters are fire, like Rathalos. You might find yourself being one-shotted by him if you keep it. You can deal with the rest of that fire resistance by eating anything+veggie and taking the first option, dealing with increasing fire resistance.

I....can't beat either of the zelda quests ;-;

DLC that was just released yesterday. You complete them and get material to make the master sword and link's armor.

The monsters are high rank but seem powered up. I haven't run into 2 of them yet in single player mode though.

There are some more quests and goodies available too so you should check them out.

So HR? I find them offline, or at Gathering Hall?

Also the Hero's Bow. The Akantor quest lets you make the Hero's Bow and Sword, and the other one let's you make the armor. The one with Rajang is stupid, that Rajang is overpowered as hell. The Akantor one isn't really a big deal though, he's a pretty normal fight from what I remember. Rajang and Akantor are both HR7 monsters, which might be why you're having issues if you haven't ranked up much since we played together the other day. HR7 monsters are a different fight entirely from HR5.

I just wish I could've Screenshot my game. I really enjoyed Dahren, The Mohran fights have always been a favorite of mine.

Also, fought Kirin. How the hell did the unicorn got catergorized in the same rank as Ceadeus, Alatraeon and Shagaru? It was much too easy.

Plus, imma need some blue sharpness weapons soon.

Oh, yeah, I know. I apologize for not making it clear. You can do them at HR4, but they're actually 7* quests. It's that way with most quests in the game. You just need to be in the rank set to be able to do any quest, you just can't post them unless you're that rank. Some Event Quests are exceptions (Like the Silver Rathalos that we got as well), and sometimes Elder Dragon quests but I don't remember if they did that this time. But if I got HR6 right now, I could post Stygian Zinogre and someone just starting High Rank and is only HR4 could join me. They just wouldn't really have a chance at survival.

An interesting set I found, requires no Charm:

Gore Helm S
Gore Mail (Low Rank)
Gore Bracers S
Gore Faulds (Low Rank)
Gore Greaves S

Gives Challenger +2 (Attack Up Large and Critical Eye +3 when monsters are in rage, your glove glowing red signifies this [It's also nice to know when monsters are in rage, not all monsters have a decent signal about it]), Sharpness +1 and Bio Researcher (Improves Dung Bombs, Prevents Fart Effect and Blastblight). It's a pretty decent High Rank set. The only problem is that it also gives Fire Res -30, and has a pretty abysmal Fire Res by default (another -23), though you can gem the -30 down to -20 without a charm (the set only has a single slot total), and with a +5 Fire Res charm you can remove the rest. Fire Res charms are pretty common, so I don't think it's all that hard to get rid of. A 3-slot charm will also do, as you can put in 3 Fire Res +2 gems.

I got sick of wearing Kut-Kus so I made it (I've been using Kut-Ku armor since I started the game, switched to High Rank Kut-Ku armor when I reached it). It's good to note that it doesn't require a gem, because the chest needs that and you make the low rank version.

I'm probably going to be at High Rank a while. I need three pineappleing Zinogre Jaspers and there's basically no Zinogre quests in High Rank at all for some reason. Even offline, all I got is that dumb marathon hunt quest. I killed seven once and got less rewards than I would have gotten from the Gathering Hall single Zinogre quest. I felt like I wasted 35 minutes of my life.

It's alright, no problem at all. Not the only thing I need to farm anyway =X.

I've beaten Seregios after an humiliating defeat and now have access to their special weapons. Are they worth it?

Also, I am now at 9th Star and I've yet to see Jhoey around.
