Just caught up to epsode 10 of the anime. And OMG is SOOO awesome. one of the best ive ever seen. I ended up teary eyed twice during those 10 episodes. Though I dont know if it was tears of joy or sadness. (happened during the emotion parts.)
I think the anime will have a different ending than the manga. just because the manga comes out once a month but the anime once a week. and animes are usually like 2 manga chapters. But I didnt check the content scale for this one.

Why would they have an anime original ending?
They'll just pull this stunt most likely:
End it during the end of an arc.
Wait for more content.
Make another 25 episode next year or so.
It's the same for a lot of anime, they'll just wait for more content before making more.
Spoiler
This will contain actual spoilers, duh, so don't continue unless you actually want to be spoiled.
They will most likely end it after the Female Type Titan arc or shortly after the whole Annie crystalization thing/wall is titans reveal.
I personally see no reason to pull an Anime original ending.
Also so far they've stuck to just about 1 chapter = 1 episode(they're somewhat into chapter 12, 10 episodes in), so even if they were to continue with another 25 episodes right afterwards they'd still not have caught up to the manga.

What? This chapter wasquite rich with information, not only did it confirm what has been speculated about regarding different factions of titans but it also gave us insight into why Reiner specifically ended up acting the way he did regarding actually acting like a soldier for the human army. Not to mention a good insight into the mentality of bert and reiner.

What I wanna find out is the leader of the titans. Ymir's keeping her mouth shut..

Titan factions needed to be confirmed? I feel as though, seeing the psychological level just seems so bare bones to me, but that's just my opinion.

Seeing their mental state just further explains why they told Eren the truth the way they did.
They were desperate soldiers, sent on a mission at a far too early age with the burden of thousands of lives on their shoulders, the eventually went "pineapple it, Eren follow us and noone else has to die." which is why the reveal was handled the way it was.
Not to mention the readers should've known by the time of the reveal that they were titans, it was quite obvious.
I personally enjoy seeing Eren and his hate-boner, it's amusing, i don't even like him much as a character i just enjoy his absolutely insane hatred. But i agree with most people that he can be quite annoying.
Just realized that i should probably put some spoiler tags on it just in case.

So far, we got 5 titan hybrids. Do you expect more to pop up?

I kind of figured most of the stuff they revealed. It didn't, for me anyway, reveal enough "why". They honestly cared about the relationships they made, but at the same time caused the trouble. So I felt as there was either, something greater controlling them, something bigger than the value of human life (as the priest suggests), or they didn't care until they were put into those perspectives. I wanted to know why they specifically kidnapped him, why do they have these abilities, what's the history they don't know about. They could have covered that entire psychological analysis in a few pages, and expanded on the world they live in and the rational reasons of these threats. I guess to sum it up I feel as though this chapter could have revealed a ton more information in a justified pace, this just seems so slow for me. Especially when the main character doesn't want to know this information, he just wants to kill everything.

To each his own, i quite enjoy the pace.

I actually don't expect it to be common, no. If it was common/normal with whatever factions BRA/Ymir are with, why send kids you handle the mission? But i don't doubt that we'll see more of them, the thing i'd dislike the most at the moment would be if the mangaka starts using chapters on eren training to use his titan power. I much prefer him learning it gradually the way he has done so far, that's one aspect i like about him as a main character.

Yeah, i do agree on eren needing training to improve his titan powers. He hasn't really gotten the hang of it like alice, but he might obtain valuable info in the chest in the basement.
I guess that's an indirect yes. At least post a manga or anime tag before your spoiler so those that only watch the anime don't get spoiled by manga comments.
Manga 47
Spoiler
I have to agree with Khaini here. 47 pages and a ton more questions were brought up than any answer was given. If anything we now know that the group Reiner comes from considers there's no future for humanity as there's a bigger thread in the horizon to come (iwhich in turn makes it stupid that they'd break the walls and kill so many people) and that Christa/Historia knows something about it and she's key for some reason. This was like a Bleach or Naruto chapter in that generally at least 1 thing or answer is developed in each one, except this is a monthly manga instead of weekly...
As for Eren, I know he gets carried by his feelings a lot, but 1) he did try to stay calm and proceed the best way possible and 2) what the heck do you expect?, Reiner and Berthtold are responsable for the deaths of 50% of humanity's population and loss of 30% of their territory, they indirectly killed Eren's mother and then pretended to be of his closest friends for 2 years, of course it'd be angry out of my mind if one of the few friends I care for and trust turned out to be responsible of all of my loss.
In the end I did enjoy the chapter but it felt as short as a Naruto chapter that's got to last me until July...
After many many recommendations from several friends I started watching it 6 hours ago, got caught and endend up watching the 12 episodes available in one sit.
This anime is pure awesomeness indeed.
I am not quite sure if it is due to the soundtrack or because i've read the manga but i really don't mind the pace the anime has at the moment for some reason. Enjoying the episodes a lot. It more or less covered a chapter of the manga 1:1 and i'm looking forward to the end of the trost arc. Especially because the following two arcs are probably my favourite.
