GMS Luminous Discussion

hadriel Wrote:Wait the range gets buffed?? Vertical or horizontal or monster-to-monster bounce range?

200 coins takes an enormous amount of time on my Lumi - with poor eating habits. Maybe it'd be faster once I hit 4th job... but looting is so slow!

Hadriel

I couldn't find specific details, but the extractions say the range increased by 100.

Anyone else actaully enjoy the questing they had you do I know it was "KILL THIS" "COLLECT THIS" but i found it pretty enjoyable.

I loved that you actually got to see the world besides Kering Mall and Mushroom kingdom. I'm hoping all classes in the future will have a quest line like this to break up grinding. Glitter

It was great up to level 80, when it was just "kill monsters near your level collect items". At least I got bored of it then. Still finished it, didn't receive any new quests. Sad

You won't get any new ones until 95, after you finish Ellin Forest's questline.

Hmm ok. Need to slowly trawl through the lot of posts back when it was in KMST.

Ok can't find much about it, so I give up.

Crazy amount of coins here I... sigh... come... slowly. Maybe the books part of the coin should be left to my BaM since he has the pet (it's the alt-f4 free gift).

So hard to farm coins when I get d/ced everytime I go on the ship anywhere.

Buy the plane? It helps for the Mu Lung side for me.

I get d/ced off that too. It's really irritating.

Yup. Welcome to my lifeee.

What do the equip-able orbs do anyways? What's the difference between a level 30 and a level 60?

What was the old dark/light system like? I think I remember that it would switch automatically or something, right? What exactly did GMS change?

Same as Phantom and Mercedes, no slots but you can potential them.

In KMS, when you use Light skills in Sunfire, "Light MP" would deplete and the gauge would fill with dark, which buffs you with Eclipse eventually once completely filled. The same vice versa, using Dark skills in Eclipse would deplete "Dark MP" and fill the gauge with Light. Everytime you switch from Light to Dark or Dark to Light, you'll go into Equilibrium.

Basically: Light > Equilibrium > Dark > Equilibrium > Light > Equilibrium > Dark > and so on..

In GMS, they made it so you have to manually press "Switch Light/Dark Mode" to switch modes/go into Equilibrium. Switching modes requires points on the gauge. Ours is more controlled but more of a hassle as well.

The amount of time it takes to charge your gauge in KMS is much shorter than the cooldown on GMS's switch buff if I'm not mistaken.

so I was killing the pepe machines in kerning square. evidently if you use the dark sphere to kill the tiny pepe summons too fast, the game thinks you're killing too fast and can't keep up and dc's you automatically.

That's odd... I didn't have that problem.

An obvious note: Reflection is GHEY. Everything in the map dies when I press a button... up down left right. This is disgustingly wicked.

/edit: questions to a couple of you out there. I noticed that despite being hit by Blood Harps a gazillion times, I've not been weakened at all (no I didn't turn on Shadow Shell). I've been slowed before but not weakened... strange. Also, for KMS players, is the time taken for the "ball" (i.e. laser) bit of Reflection to appear just as long in KMS? I see the starting animation crystal, and a quarter of a second later nothing appears, then another quarter of second and massive laser chaos. Quite funny to see the last hit occuring one second after I shoot, but kinda annoying when I'm rapidly shooting stuff and I want to know what dies first.

Oh, cool, thanks.

I just hit 60, and a bit later I went to go kill Xerxes. Omg Spectral light... Killed Xerxes in like 5 seconds. e.e
All I have is a +11 witch hat and clean equips. I had a +16 snow furball thing, but it blew up. ; - ;

Anyway, I realized Xerxes gives 11k exp per kill.... Which is 5 percentish. With the time you need to go trough the portal and stuff, you can get like 15 percent a minute off him. But with how OP I feel Luminous is, I guess monster park would be better.

I absolutely hate playing mages but I find luminous rather enjoyable.

Maybe it was the free teleporting everywhere you needed to go for quests that made me like it.

Head to Aliens if you can get a door.
Using Spectral Light and OP Lumi tele I went from 60-100 in like an hour lmao.

To answer your first question, in addition to the rather extensive list of advantages Luminous has over your average magician, Shadow Shell gives 40% passive status resistance, and comes with 20 Willpower and complete immunity to Darkness(lold) to boot

Can't say about the second one, I stopped my KMS Lumi shortly after 3rd. However I think I understand what you're saying about Reflection, I just always assumed it was lag.
