However, it seems Nexon was only informed of the Empress spawning, and it's not clear whether they realize there is item generation going on. Seems weird that they'd just allow it to run unimpeded.

Recall that GMs also seem to be unable to create non-clean items, even when they decide someone deserves to be compensated for losing valuable equips due to Nexon idiocy.
And it has been hinted upthread that hackers can create "GM class" characters...

Pretty much the same in El Nido, I've noticed a few pairs of clean/average spectrum goggles in the FM but I'm guessing they were just bought cheap in the MTS. No Empress shenanigans here at least.

They should be able to get anything they have the item ID for, if canes are in the data then yes I don't see why they wouldn't be able to.

Are the summoning bags untradeable? If not, then have hackers created untradeable/cash items? That might narrow down how they're creating items.
