I suck at piloting jets and helicopters, though.

DAMN YOU BF3, y u no give jets to xbox. How hard are they to take down? Do they just dominate the game?

If you are a jet, you spend a lot more time worrying getting shot at by other jets or just plain steering than getting taken down. I never actually tried taking down a jet, but that's because I'd rather save my ammo for a tank or jeep or even helicopter. Jets are quite hard to steer. It takes a while to get used to, and usually, you don't spend time focusing on targets on the ground because it's rather hard to focus on the ground. Jets usually just aim at other jets, helicopters, or tanks, or just plain not getting out of the map dimensions. Oh, and you can parachute out of jets. Press e to get out then space to parachute.

Helicopters are a lot more annoying. They're easy to handle if it's just one person driving, but if two people get in, it's a pain in the arse, since one can just focus on driving and the other can just gun. I think my most vehicle kills were just from gunning from a helicopter. Again, it's hard to steer, but not as hard as a jet.

Tanks are probably the hugest threat to infantry. If there's a gunner and driver (who also controls the main gun) you can't just ignore it, like a helicopter or jet. You have to take it down or risk getting shot at by the gunner or just plain getting run over.

Jeeps are basically the quickest way on foot to get from A>>B. There's a machine gun mounted on the back, but it has limited view and takes a while to turn. A lot of people can pile into a jeep, rofl. Oh, and it gets waterlogged, so don't drive it through a river. By far the easiest to steer.

And Caspian Border...is huge. Jesus Christ. You can't just walk from a point to another. You basically have to hitch a ride onto a jeep or tank. The sniping spots are amazing, though. I've made so many long range shots here (some just plain luck, I'll have to admit). And apparently you can get to the top of that tower in the Caspian Border footage video. It's kinda funny.

So I went and got Battlefield 3 just now. No preorders or anything.

Turns out the clerk handed me the limited edition Back to Karland edition. For $60 (plus the $5 tax). I didn't notice it until I was in the car going home, or I would've returned it.

I got the same limited edition for $60 as well on the day of release... without a preorder... in a GameStop in Manhattan.

The game is kinda disappointing though. Campaign is the worst piece of pomegranate ever. Game's crashed on me twice already. Multiplayer is pretty lackluster on PS3.

Sup 64 players Operation Metro.

Me and my friend decided to get this game, and we are super happy with the purchase, friend said campaign was awesome co-op is funny to play with a friend (Especially with the helicopter if its your first time time flying it) Co-op is fun whenever i play Caspian Border I do nothing but fly jets and go 0-12. We have our favorite maps and our hated maps but great game. Crashing was annoying a couple days ago.

Hmmm, I'm experiencing some lag in the multiplayer. Sucks. Playing on low and on like 20 ping servers but still getting lag. Never experienced lag on "auto" on the beta.

Some of the maps have some pretty bad lag regardless of your latency. Especially Tehran Highway. The things that map does is hilarious. You'll be drivin along in a tank and then all of a sudden bounce of air and get shifted inside a wall 5 meters away and will have no choice but to get out and RPG the thing. Not sure why it's not fixed yet. Every time I go on that map 90% of people complain about it.

Map isn't the issue, been experiencing lag on Operation Metro. I have little lag on the single player, though.

Map is issue for me though. I don't lag on any other map.

I can't help but feel like Reacon got shafted hard in this game.
