Question about hero trend?

I'd love to see the pirate legend use no weapons at all, and instead they get something else to pour money into. Maybe they actually have to build muscle! Ehh...no...but I'd really like them to make Testonen fight bare-fisted.

I'm into this whole spirit thing for Pirates though, I mean, impulsive, the most adventurous, and bold class base in MapleStory. Totally fits in with Spirit.
Mind works great for thieves too, with the whole cunning aspect, and all.

So a mind-based claw using thief with psychic stars that he can control, and an emphasis on Mana, and a spirit-based Pirate that fights on sheer willpower. I like dis.

I know the original comic Testonen appeared in had him as a fist fighter.

And I'm not even gonna lie about the "Utan, Ian and Ochan" idea... that was plain bad and debunked relatively quickly by Nexon. How people managed to believe it for as long as they did is hilarious.

I vote for thief because in spanish testonen sounds like testosterona (testosterone) and it's very manly, so who wants to seee the First Dark Lady?

On-topic: Perhaps Mind and Spirit? Soul and Spirit have been established to be sort of different I think...

So the soul and spirit are different things. I doubt the Nexon programmers are Christian, but let's just go with this for now.

Thing is, that passage is saying it goes as far to divide to things that are virtually indivisible or indistinguishable. Not to mention that Hebrews isn't an Abrahamic thing, being in the new testament. Meaning that spirit could (and probably does) mean holy spirit or spirit of God inside a person and their own eternal soul. Which is a much more new testament concept.

My guess is that the final one will be something more like Chi or energy or life force.

Also are we for sure that mercedes is body and not mind? I would guess her to be mind Or is her symbolism more clear than i think it is? IF she is actually mind, then i would guess the thief to be body and the pirate to be chi/energy/life force. Or those two could be flipped around.

Well if TS is correct, then the "Body" has already been used. Soul and spirit CAN be the same thing, but in this context, Soul would refer to the actual soul of a person. Spirit would be kind of the "energy" the is endowed in a person, as in "he i spiritually elated", which would fit pirates. The mind must refer, then, to the thief (i mean why not? Thieves are either notoriously dumb or notoriously ingenious).

While I like your evaluation as spirit meaning more of energy. I'm not sold on theives being mind. I really think they are going to be body and that mercedes is mind. Her attacks are very magical and elemental. She is at this point sort of the brains amongst the legends. I think either the thief or pirate could be body or energy. Attacking using great feats of the body or an inner power.

Just think what original class Nexon didn't remake yet. Resistance is out of the question since they are pretty new. They've made over 9000 mages so I don't think it will be another mage, and I doubt more warriors since they have Aran/Demon Slayer. Not Pirates because of Canoneer. Not bowman cause of Mercedes. I'm betting a thief of sorts.
