Jobs that are actually fun.
#41
Alright.

I don't know how to really word this but I'll try to be as brief as possible.

@Khoi: This thread has actually helped me decide on what I should do. I got some great recognitions actually. o:

And not only that but, I do fully agree about looking at some guides and what not and some videos as well. Especially the videos..ah. I just hope I can finally get a character to Lv. 120 because literally all of the great videos I watch of Arans and Buccs are obviously 4th job.. o:

---------------------------------------------------

@Everyone: Fun to me would be like..classes that are quick, great mobility, not boring to train, etc.

Stuff along those lines. Also colorful skills which I see more in Aran, haha!

ALSO: I guess my decision is that I'm going to go back and forth training my Aran (Lv. 74) and the future-Bucc (hopefully?) that I started today and see which one I want to focus on more.

But honestly, I have characters like my Lv. 90 Battle Mage, Lv. 75 Outlaw, or Lv. 75 Mechanic that I want to go on but I really don't know if I should or not.

The IMPORTANT point of this thread and why I mainly asked everyone is because I don't have much time to try out every class. I realize what I'm doing is too vague/brief and that I should expand more with my decisions and try stuff, but I have a "1-2-3" lifestyle. I can't really just try everything out. I kind of have, but I hope some of you get the idea. I just don't want to spend too much time. I really want to get a character to Lv. 120 for once. I've been playing MapleStory for WAY too long for me NOT to be Lv. 120. I've been screwing around too long. >:

If it's any consolation, I got my Hero to 120 last weekend, and I've been playing it since late V0.1X

If you want colors and power, something yet to be suggested is an IL mage.

My IL is level 81, and with maxed ice strike, 1 in tele mastery, and some Amp, I already do 10K crits to Iron Mutaes, even though they're 5 levels above me, and I have nothing but clean gear.

Oh, so I'm not the only one! x___x.
Great then. Haha.

Also, I tried I/L Mages before but I agree they can be pretty great. Perhaps maybe I might make one in the future? But right now it's the jobs that I listed in the post before your's. o:

Thanks though! :3

Just tryin to help. Big Grin

Taking a look at my signature will show you the classes I've played, not including the most likely hundreds of level 4x or below characters I've created, played for a bit, and deleted. I am the epitome of character ADD.

To be honest it seems like you want a melee physical damage dealer. You might also enjoy a white knight. Charges are pretty cool. Mine would most likely be a Paladin, but atm it's on Windia and my main and everyone else except my IL are on Windia.

If you want a bucc, I would recommend making a TB first for the UA patch, with that TB at level 120, you can thus make your bucc already as a level 50 Brawler, AND you get the 24 atk bonus, PLUS your bucc will have Sharkwave.

All things taken into effect, there's no downside to making a cygnus and then having a UA bucc in the (hopefully) near future.

Ooh, interesting choice of classes!

Well about the Thunder Breaker..
I WOULD make one but Cyguns Knights never ceased to amaze me even with the UA patch. 4th job Bucc skills are mainly what are attracting me to a Bucc. Haha.

For a Cygnus Knight, I'm working on a Dawn Warrior. Those are quick levels and fun to spam attacks with Soul Rush. (:

My Aran is super fun but he's so boring at Lv. 74. :l
I gotta grind in Jesters though until like 80-something. LOL..

As a bucc you will mainly be using dragon strike. With the way buccs are now you will hardly be using barrage.

I have a level 15x bucc. Yeah it was pretty fun until big bang came along. Now its just a class that spammy. But still, its a really flashy class and mobility is okay. As for training....meh, its kinda boring. I don't know, maybe you could make something of it.

That's maplestory in a nutshell. If you were smart you'd choose a better rpg.

You might find it smart to find another RPG. I don't agree, however.

Maple is not the only game I play also. o_o

Whatever you're referring to: The whole spam about Buffs, Damage and what not is not what fun is to me.
I already explained it. I don't play MapleStory for Buffs and damage.

Update on my Brawler: Level 31, almost 32.
School is really getting me busy, so I'm trying to cram in some levels as I study, LOL.

100$ spent on maplestory lasts like 5 minutes

100$ spent on any other rpg could last for a year and a half. o-o;

I know nx is for enjoyment, but really, Ze numbers don't lie.

Arans are indeed quite nice, if we talk about fun as how interesting training is.

Aran's have lot of skills that are used during training:

Overswing(normal att, 2swing, 3swing)
Final Blow
Final Charge
Final Toss (not used so much, at least before Chaos)
Combo Fenrir/Smash
Combo Tempest
Body pressure (I count this as attacking skill, cause it gives u body att)
Whirlwind (after Chaos)
Combo Judgement (after Chaos)
Combat Step

and buffs:

Aegis Shield/Combo Barrier
Smart Knockback
Ice Charge
Drain
Freeze Stand
Maple Warrior
Combo Recharge (after Chaos)

Personally I like how some of those are used with combos of arrow keys. I don't like moving my hand to the other side of keyboard. Combat Step also has different tricks hidden, to take full potential out of it. Then ofc, keeping up the combo makes training bit more interesting (and some bosses challenging).

If it costs $100 for five minutes, then I must be damn rich. Tongue

:f6: I NEVER get bored training my bucc. Maybe it's just me. I know moves get repetitive, I just switch up the moves every once in a while.
