Not literally. It's just implicatively last in regards to significance. Personally, it's not killing one or the other for me; it's killing the same girl, but this way or that way.

Because, he has wishes too. I'm not trying to be rude by saying this, but both actions would be driven by selfishness. By choosing to die for your child, you are sacrificing your husband's wish for your to live. By your husband saving you, he forfeits your wishes.

Whatever decision made, one of the two sides will seem selfish. I can understand you not wanting your husband to go against your wish, but him actually choosing the better option for you against his own wish is something I would not take for granted, nor want my girl to. Although, it's a man's job to show strength in such times. If you cannot comply with your wife's last wish, you shouldn't be thinking of marriage.

We are talking about a medical situation, so there is no chance for the husband to sacrifice anything besides his mental sanity.
