How do you study?

Everything except chemistry:
Read/skin through the book. May or may not takes notes depending on difficulty.
Chem:
Do chem probs over and over again for 3-5 hours.

I attend class, and absorb all the information there. Then the night before the exam, I go through a mental rundown, and I'm set; havent bought a textbook since second year with no regrets.

For myself, being a music major, I pay too much attention to music, so when I have music on when Im doing hwk (or the rare time I actually do sit down and look through notes), I cant concentrate and will be listening to music more than being productive.

I'm like that as well, I learn A LOT in classes and rarely ever do any exercises at home. It's actually a relief for me that I'm that way since I'm very bad at sitting down and studying for a long time (I'm currently at chem. eng. university, have gotten mostly As, with about 6-7 Bs in 3.5 years of university, I'm not studying in france for a double-degree).

I don't really understand how it works but some things just tend to stick to my mind and I have a very good logical memory though other things are terrible to remember like dates, names or history/literature.
