What do you think the prices of equips will be worth after potential scrolls hit gMS?

Chocobo Wrote:So do the potential scrolls drop from all mobs? Or just specific ones? zak and other bosses drop for sure... It'll be kind of funny but it isn't out of the realm of possibility for lvl 90 unidentified items to flood the market after this comes out at least making a viable option for people for a while as well as HT; not to mention to chaos versions of both

I think stuff below level 70 are now worthless...
btw how much did common low level equips with int for HP washing drop in KMS?

When you can scroll for +HP%, I predict there will be a significant drop in people who will give 2 craps about INT gear anymore when the gear is not NX based and can have very promising boosts. I can easily see the ranged classes and people like Dual Bladers care much less about INT gear when they realize they can more cheaply and more quickly get HP through level 70 +HP% gear. Then for us beefy characters it'll be a fun little side project, trying to break/reach the HP cap without Hyperbody. I can see 15k-20k unwashed warriors/Battle Mage/Buccs/Arans to be the norm in the future. Just having +9% HP on even one piece of equipment will be amazing for ranged classes. Now imagine getting +27% HP on one piece of gear, getting over 100% more HP from equipment alone will make bossing super easy. Obviously the damage whores will object to this, but I'm sure even they can see the signficance of this potential.

But why sacrifice the power you could have for HP that you don't really even need to begin with?

Ah well, at least potential scrolls won't make my common low level INT gear any less efficient. 200% potential-d of say a +150 INT set is only 300 INT. I own a 250 INT gear set right now. I think I'll only potential the level 71 + items and leave the 70 - items alone. I'll stick to wasting tons of NX on non-mage gear like everyone else :[.

That potential increases the final amount of the designated stat, not just the equipment bonuses. Enjoooooooooy.

Ranged classes already get more HP with all the free HP coming from things like Chaos ZHelm, medals, etc. and now bosses do less damage and a ton of skills help reduce damage. I doubt HP washing will still be the focus of most people's NX when so much of it can be spent towards improving your gear. Getting perfect potential gear is incredibly NX intensive if you aren't lucky.

SexPistols Wrote:his post makes no sense...why waste 1 piece of equipment for HP when you can let that equipment to add more atk Why waste real life money on dozens of AP resets as well as even more money/mesos on INT gear when I can just get +HP% gear. I spent over 1,000 dollars on this game without knowing it, probably half of that coming from AP resets and INT gear alone. I am no longer paying such an exuberant amount just for a few hundred more hit points because my real NX purchases (barely $10-$20 every couple months) have slowed to a trickle after that wakeup call. This game is not all about power. There's nothing wrong with using some HP gear to survive a boss as long as you're having fun, fully buffed, not die like an idiot, and you've eaten an Onyx Apple. You're acting like all of the ranged person's equipment will be +HP%. Of course not, he/she will use +main stat% for all the other slots, and +% attack for their weapon(s). Besides, +27% HP from one piece of equipment is worth around 1,000-1,200 HP to an unwashed ranged character who is able to Horntail. Just wear that, and min/max everything else. Wowzers!

A single +9% STR from shoes for a Bucc of your level will at the very least gain about 60-70 STR, which will be about the equivalent of ~7-9 attack shoes. Try the current ratio of 4 attack being ~24-28 STR and the difference just increases even more. Yup facestompers are going to blow hard after people start discovering the true potential of potential scrolls as well as the power of farming for unidentified equipment.

Good thing I never really bought into the whole facestompers thing. I do expect, though, that high attack FS' will still be worth alot, as that just boosts the effect of +% attack.
I feel that Pink Gaia Capes are really going to be worth more, since they can get a slightly better boost than their Adventurer counterparts.

Does anyone know if Papulatus is considered to be a major boss that drops potential scrolls with 90%?
