I just hate the average scum this version like that, you k now? But none of that scum is in the english community (that we allow) and the inevitable japanese players like this are much more keeping to their own worlds of super-elitism and douchebagginess. So. Yeah. It's not like there is anything to update, though, every version is going to be having this issue eventually. It's really just KMS' fault for taking so long to produce real content, and not more updates and classes. JMS is already cached up to them content wise, and it's more economic to release the little content over time. SEA and GMS just rush updates, which keeps KMS gasping for air trying to make content. It's not Nexon Japan's fault for keeping with the content scedule Nexon Korea sets. It's the other versions for creating their own scedules of rushed release. Blame it on the gamer kiddies; which is the people who you say "quit" because their little e-penises weren't oversatisfied as normal.

And most GMS/SEA players say they're superior to us and that we suck when we can't even be compared. It isn't the same game. You train in perfect areas, and we have to train in areas that aren't as great as that. You have gear twice as good as us that you bought with 20 dollars of NX. We work twice if not more for stuff you get with a eighth the work. And we still get told we're inferior and we stuck. What's up with that? And then you're liek OMG SOMETHING GOOD GIVE IT TO US. Why can't we have something good for just us for once? :| Bishops are going to quit in GMS and SEA because of the genesis change, because they can't overpower other classes anymore. That's the true meaning of a platypus.
I have to agree but msea has to make do with what we have and make the most of it... unlike gMS where doing 20k per star on a NL doesnt even need effort.

Regarding Evans being slow...
Like i said, they are Strong, but slow. And it's kinda annoying to wait such a high delay between skills, and not being able to cast then and teleport, like 90% of Magician skills are able to. Evans are good, even able to boss, but still, too slow.

Just a few videos that can be an example. Illusion is the slowest skill so far. 2 seconds cast time...

While I really hate to throw fire on this wood, in regards to the BAWing about the community, I will say this.
I really don't like to stereotype people, I only think it's okay to do it when it's being joked about and not being seriously used to denote a group of people or judge a group of people, I really don't think it's okay for me to do that. That's why it impacted me pretty badly when I started playing KMS. All I hear about is how awesome the community of Korean players are, well that changed. I got my gf to play it with me, and god forbid if she spoke english ONCE, do you know how many people came up and sexually harrassed her in ways worse than anyone in GMS imagineable could have done it? This isn't just maple, this has happened to a lot of Korean MMO's I've played, so it's not just a few people.
I thought, ''Okay this version must have people like that to''. But the more I searched, the more depressed it made me. There were a lot of good Koreans, and a lot of them were very nice to us and didn't try to act rude, and I'm not saying the majority of Korea maple acted like that because I haven't seen all of it. But I have seen this happen in many other Korean MMO's, and I just want to say, that there are indeed ''pussys'' in KMS. There is also another certain English community(you know who you are I won't say your name) that had a much darker, biased, and elitist side to it, which pretty much led me to give up trying KMS alltogether.
I don't speak for JMS, I don't know how it's community is, but I am sure if I were to go on there I would find many ill-mannered people just as I have found on KMS. The community I faced in KMS was far worse than that of the GMS's community in my opinion, and I regret even making a character in KMS.
Now, in regards to Evan, CL>Chief Oblivions, Evan>the ice ones (I don't even know their names). So...yeah, enjoy your Evan, I'll be training on the current highest level monsters in the game with CL, you all can keep your judgements about us being Ultimate spammers, I enjoy my I/L far more than I enjoyed that slug of an Evan class. I was able to fight BF with my gf when we were in our 120's, that Evan was level 16x, lets face it, Evans are pretty mediocre. I also trained faster than that Evan did in the level 80 video when I was level 80, and I didn't even have booster/amp, my ice strike also wasn't maxed because I was excited for getting my first third job character and added a point into TS and composition because they looked cool.
Sorry but, it doesn't even go as far as ultimate spamming, mages pretty much over-rule Evan in the same way NL's overrule shadowers, no matter how useful they were(before big bang.).

I've played all three versions.
GMS... it's just terrible. It's full of kids who have no manners. At all.
KMS is even worse than GMS. There are some Koreans I have come across that were nice, but for the most part, Koreans won't care that you have feelings or even exist. They'll just be rude for no real reason.
In JMS, I've never run into any problem with anyone. The only "problem" I have ever faced in JMS was about being a foreigner, which is more than acceptable, especially since Japan was a country of isolation for such a long time. I've never had problems with KSing like I do CONSTANTLY in GMS and KMS. I've never had problems with conflicting personalities in JMS. The Japanese community is far better than any other MapleStory community I've ever come across, whether it be KMS, GMS, MSEA, private servers, or whatever. Hell... The only reason I'm still on these forums with a bunch of rude people that are here (I'm not going to point fingers) is because there are no JapanMS community forums that are like what we have here on Southperry.

Well if that is indeed the case, I'll take your word for it, to be honest I also had my doubts about the JMS community being as bad.
At the very least, I'm sure I would find plenty of problems with most of the English players.

Agreed Evan is only good from like level 20-50...from then on they are slow like fk
I hope DB doesn't have any hidden-disadvantages that we don't know about because all of these new classes sucks big time...Aran gives carpal tunnel syndrome, and Evans are so slow to the point that they are unplayable

just to let everybody know, 15 separate damage is the maximum u can make PER attack.
such as dragon roar/ mage's ultimates etc. they attack 15 monsters at once, but no more.
with dualblades, attacking 8 times with fatal... and they use mirror imaging, you'd think they would hit 16 times. but they dont. they attack 15 times AT MAXIMUM. same applies to chain of hell. they dont attack 24 TIMES at once WITH mirror, because the maximum damage per attack you can do is 15 times...
heres wat im talking about...
HERE, the dual blader uses fatal blow. He still does a maximum of 15 damage.
the only difference in attack, is purely the % of the damage, and the number of damages done by the user NOT the mirror image.
ie)
Fatal blow ---> 8 user attacks + 7 mirror attacks
Chain of hell -> 12 user attacks + 3 mirror attacks
still.... damn dual bladers r awesome xD
hoping to use chain of hell soon... T_T
hope it helped.... sumhow

hey shikage which world were you on? The english community I knew when I had my small stint in JMS was pleasent for the most part but a lot of them were pretentious and typical brown shirts if you know what I mean. Like those kids in an anime club that take things a lil too serious and revere the country Japan a lil too much alot of it dealt with just trying to learn basic japanese phrases and grammar just to get by. No one would ever bother to help you in that regard but were quick to judge and criticize. I remember one time I tried to get the right phonetic spelling for my name so I could introduce myself so when I gave a few examples I was told I was wrong and.....nothing else.
And dealing with GMS, trust me just have a job in retail or service for about a year and you'll develop some pretty thick skin, even to the point that any of those brats don't phase me, and for the most part the higher level community is at least reserved if only for the fact that you'll be utterly screwed just like any simple society.
Anyways grats on getting your updates, It's still amazing to see the breakneck speed GMS get's its updates now when you haven't played in so long.

We're all in Keyaki (Except poor Aslemn. He's stuck in Kaede. ). The entire English community is like a family and our Japanese friends are like our extended family. I don't think there are any anime/manga/Japanobsessed tards in the guild. If there are, they sure do hide it well enough.

@Erich:
Powerful equipment? So far, the only powerful equipment in MapleSEA that I can think of are the Scarlion/Targa Boss Hat, elewands and pretty much all the pure stat equipment. While I agree that there are a lot of jerks in MapleSEA, I know plenty of nice people. Heck, some random guy I met at the Forest of Poison Fog PQ (Elin Forest) gave me a Shinkita (+4) and a Deadly Fin (+4) FOR FREE. He didn't ask for anything in return, and I didn't even know him that well. A friend of mine gave me a Maple Wagner free of charge when she could have just sold it off for quite a large sum of mesos.
Sure, there are plenty of jerks who play Bishops just to raid maps with Genesis. I know an entire GUILD dedicated to it. They aren't really that bad though; after my party leader gave them some Mushroom Miso Ramen, they NEVER bothered me again (In fact, they always skipped my channel after that incident).
Don't generalise just because you've met only damage whores and immature brats in a particular version of MapleStory. Don't generalise just because many people in MapleSEA don't bother using proper grammar in-game (I don't bother doing it in-game because it's time-consuming typing out full, proper sentences).
That said, though, I would play in JMS if I could...but I haven't taken proper Japanese classes (still self-taught...I'm also doing a horrendous job at it). The Japanese do craft brilliant storylines, and as such I would very much like to play in JMS. Among all the storylines NexonKR has ever come up with, the only one that impressed me at all was the Aran storyline...and even that one got worse toward the ending.
Oh, and I simply adore the "Memories of MapleStory" song. Pity it's so short, though.

There no time to play and have fun from all the jobs.....
Definitely not a smart move, but happy for JMS on the new patch[/COLOR]

True. They should definitely extend whatever special "level up events" they have for Dual Blade and Evan to allow the average player to get all the event equipment for both job classes...

Oh well... I've tried.
Sincerely, steriotyping is not a 100% lie, but it's not 100% true either.
My reason to quit GMS is pretty simple, Nexon. Right when they introduced the auto ban system, remember that 30.000 hackers banned in the first day to show how efficient the auto ban system they implemented was?
They weren't hackers at all. Most of them were, but that time, false reports did lead to a ban. In the same day, while training at Retz, a hacker, those were pretty common these times, appeared, KS'ed me, and REPORTED me. When i tried changing channels, bam, Maple Closed.
When i tried logging on again, i was PERMANENTLY banned.
Nexon was so aware that they banned so many legit players for nothing, that in the next day they announced the ban would last for a month, instead of the permanent ban.
After sending them a mail, not one, because in the first 3 all i received were nonsense auto answers. The other one, they just said that HACKERS would have been given a second chance, to not do that again, and to play the game correctly.
I've been playing that for years, without even touching a hacking tool, then, that stupid autoban pushes my character to the hell, almost got permanent banned, and if that wasn't enough, i have to hear Nexon calling me a hacker that should learn to play the game correctly?
That was the reason that made me quit GMS forever. Although i got constantly KS'd, it was common sense to change channels and not lose my time arguing agains't ignorant players. That didn't count much as a reason to quit.
The reason could look idiotic to some, but sincerely, for me it isn't.
I've been playing JMS since version 1.22. Where fourth job wasn't even out. Couldn't read japanese, but got two or three friendsthat helped me with that.
That was 3 years ago, even for a lot of event patches, i never, never done such a ragequit every single patch that was a stupid event, because, seriously, if you chose a version to play, and keep playing it even for raging and saying that your version is a pomegranate, you're being hypocrite. Sincerely, raging won't lead to a solution, just pineappleing quit and wait when something good is released. My friend, that was japanese, told me that people were begging for fourth job since it came to KMS, doing such drama that is completely ridiculous. I've been playing at Kaede, alone, seeing my only friend at past midnight because of inverse time zones, and the only difference i can note from populations from GMS (The one that was present when i quit, because after that, i can't say anything about populations because i don't even play there.) to JMS, it's the explicit amount of common sense from JMS.
I've soloed an Anego with a level 125 Captain, that wasn't strong enough to use all my bullets to kill her completely. While i was soloing, that took me two hours+, like five japanese players appeared, and even seeing i was weak as pineapple to solo her, they just said "Good Luck!" or "Need help?", and when i said that i didn't need, they just left. I even had to RECHARGE my bullets at town, a japanese just got there at the same time as me, but since there were drops on the floor, he just left.
Such situations happened to me a lot in these years, the population isn't perfect, but it's an idea built by all those players, that KS is something that is not permitted. That has been formed because JP people used to alert KS'ers in smegas to all the world, and tell their guild mates to stalk them until death. That built up the idea that KS is something idiotic, and that should be abominated and extinct from MapleStory.
Regardless, it's like what was said here. Although there are some stupid papayagots around MS versions. You can't steriotype them, because, anywhere, there must be a nice person playing. KS is such a lack of education and common sense, the most stupid way of acting that just makes you look like a complete papayagot, and it's really explicit on KMS, really. Try to go at C-2 and you may see.
But well, steriotypes can't be broken, since they are built, but seriously, there's no need to start a discussion about that. You can't generalize a MS version for it's players.

In regards to chain, what you see may not be what you get. A true test will be to kill something that can endure more than 1 hell of chains, add up all the damage, kill with an other person in the party and see if the experience gain corresponds to the damage dealt by chain. (Of course adjusted by party member level and such) The client might just have a cap on the number of attacks shown but may account for all the undisplayed hits.

Regarding Chains of Hell, it deals the damage of 24 hits, but only 15 are shown. This is what i believe it does.
It's like JellyFlower said, there's a cap on how many hits are shown. But what you see isn't what happens. That level 186 Raika video is an example, the damage he deals is so huge, that only 15 hits wouldn't be enough to deal such a high damage.

You wouldn't even be able to notice the difference in time. It's not like 9 MI hits do a lot of damage.
