Who here actually still plays Maplestory?
#41
My final goal in MS is to get to 160. Once I do that, or when medical school starts up for me, I will be done training and will probably only log on to chat/do boss runs.

Still active because the alliance I'm in and my buddy list are both still alive. The hours spent on Maple per day has gone down since earlier in the year.

Not active. Still waiting for Nexon Korea to release something decent other than a new job madness / cash items.

I still play, yeah, but on my spare time. It's still fun, but I never train at all. If anything, all I do is events and monster book card collecting.

I still play actively, especially now during the summer because I know I'll be on less due to classes. My buddylist and guild are still quite active and I've got goals to set that I still haven't set. It's still fun to me, so yeah.

Was a time where all I did was play Maple. Now I just can't seem to be able to even want to play it (which is a good thing, I guess?).

Chameleonic Wrote:Havent played for over 3 months. So long as my MM remains banned I wont play another game run or associated with Nexon ever again.

Your not alone, its sick that they still have left the majority of the people banned over the chaos merchanting stunt banned. I still play but the game will never be the same and i know of at least one person who has not come back from this.

ShiKage Wrote:#3. I'm f'ucking sick of the s'hitty ass company that runs the game. F'ucking Nexon Japan takes at LEAST 6 months to fix ANY bug in the game that isn't as drastic as Brandish disconnecting everyone when used or something that doesn't involve them losing cash shop money. CWKPQ Bosses have been instant banning people for a year now and they still haven't fixed it. Adventurer rings have been broken for months since their release and they still haven't been fixed. Etc.

I'm f'ucking sick of their sh'itty ass management of the game and I hate the direction Nexon Korea is taking with the game. I quit and now I'm waiting on new games like Dragon Ball Online. :S

I still play...When I have time. Hey, you can always Play Aion. Im waiting for patch 1.9..Today!

I haven't played Maple story for a loooooong time, Both of the computers I played them on had problems. One had an extremely loud fan, the other was made even slower it MS downloaded. And I have lost interest, because of their dumb lack of awesome monster/location updates.

Are you serious? Good thing they don't drop MoNs.

I basically quit for a couple months, then started getting back into it since about March or so. Think I'm starting to really get tired of it at this point.

I pretty much quitted because I just got too tried of the game. I mean, what's the whole point of it? Killing monsters, leveling, buying, blah blah blah. Game is getting old for me now.
Nowadays I just log on whenever there's "something" worth logging in for.

Just quit today, logged off when I heard there was gonna be an emergency maintenance, tried logging back in when its over to find my password has been changed, and I try to retrieve the password and it says its already been sent, doesn't matter because now I cant even log in to my f'ucking email.

Sucks, realized how horrible this game and the company are though, no doubt in my mind that Nexon is to blame for this crap.

Since I got hacked at the beginning the major crisis and of course nexon does nothing...Definitely quit for good. Just want them to restore my char on the ranks for history purposes.

That's fine SC2 Beta is the win, too bad its going down for like a month..don't know what Ill do. Prolly play Master of Orion 2 and maybe buy Monster Hunter Tri....or both... >>

I've been winding down from maple for a couple of years now, and I've more or less quit at this point. I didn't stop because of Nexon's incompetence (GMS has never been well managed, why should that start to bother me now), I just tend to lose interest when it becomes nigh-impossible to progress without heavy merchanting and/or buying cash items.
I'll prolly keep patching for a while yet, I can see myself going on once in a blue moon to mess around and waste a few hours with new quests and content.

I still do play actively, but that's probably only because I just came back in mid-December after being forced to quit due to IRL issues shortly after 4th job was released. During those two years away from the game, I still wanted to come back and become a Ranger - and now I'm just two levels away from achieving that goal. As such, I still remained somewhat active in the community during those two years, as the local MSEAers know.

After I become a Ranger (hopefully later this week) though... I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. Sure, I've managed to avoid the majority of problems and terrible resolutions (especially the hacking spree and the Chaos Scroll bannings), but as far as future content goes, there's little that I'm looking forward to in the future. I became heavily disillusioned when I found out that the three most critical Evan skills would require Cash Shop skillbooks. That's not mentioning that the community is nothing like what it was 2 years ago - my IRL friends and cousins no longer play MS, I can't help but feel that the community is far more materialistic than before, the economy is terrible, and now you have the issues of leeching/2x family stuff taking away a lot of the feeling of achievement.

That's not even counting that last month, I've personally witnessed someone talking to a person in a guild, asking him if a certain guild member was online and could DC hack someone. That really destroyed most of my faith in the MS community, because if a practice like that is now considered acceptable within some guilds, at what point would stuff like this be considered going too far?

That's sad to hear. Did you verify whether or not your characters were stripped? Or it could just be another Nexon thing, you know.
