Applying for a credit-card gives me about 50k NX. I have great credits right now, I can probably apply for it. I haven't had a card deny me, ever. -shrugs-

Cynic Wrote:I get this too. I can only charge NX on the IP that my account was created on also. If I try to charge anywhere else I get this message. If that's the case, I won't be able to do these things since I made my account when I still lived with my father, and I don't see him much anymore. Oh well.

Address, telephone, name, some important crap, like income, etc. I made an error on my income, I typed 50,000 instead of 20,000. Oh well, it was like 5:30 AM in the morning for me over here, can't blame myself too much over that. Though I did read the requirements, and you had to make over 15k a year, iirc. I make around 20k a year, so I definitely pass 'that' requirement. I think there were other requirements, but I forgot. My credit-rate is pretty good, so I'm not too worried. I have to 'call' them for some verification though. I doubt false-info would work, but I've never done that before.

I'm going to plea with most of southperry to ignore the credit card offer. Canceling a credit card isn't that easy and you could end up getting screwed. 50k NX is not worth all of the bad things an un-researched credit card can bring.

This is Nexon encouraging users to sell their personal information for NX -_-
I wonder how much Nexon is getting paid by these companies

I was also going to mention the negative impact that opening a new line of credit then closing it cna have on your credit score. 50k nx is tempting but more then likely not worth it.

On the plus side, this gives us something to do while waiting for the boats. I mean it'd be nice to spend all my hours at ToT but I keep getting sent on quests on my Aran that require being on it for 30-40 minutes doing absolutely nothing.

Cancelling a credit card still shows up on your credit report history. That's not a sacrifice I'm willing to make for 50k NX.

So anybody else come up with a fake persona for these surveys?
Mine's Johnson Brownly, a 25 year old caucasian male doctor from Fairfax, Virginia. Also, Nightclaw, if you're already playing maplestory, then why not do things that involve maplestory? I finished goal #1: make enough NX to buy a pet and pickup equips. Next goal is to get enough to get a 30 day 2x drop card.

Omni Wrote:I'll cancel it once I obtain the card. Easy. I still keep the 50k NX. I was thinking of doing this as well, but I'll let you be my scapegoat to see how this works out. If it does, I'll do it. I've only ever used a debit card, so I've no idea how the hell applying for a credit card is like. Edit - Oh, I see. I was thinking it would be a pain in the ass to get out of so didn't even bother with it.

A good program for this would be RoboForm. You enter a fake email, name, address (you can just google a legitimate one), title (Mr./Mrs./Ms./etc), phone number (also easily googlable something like Safeway or Target's phone number should suffice), and....I think that's all. When you get to the survey section just click auto-fill and it fills everything for you. It can do checkboxes and stuff, but I don't know how to configure it.
You can find the program at Cnet. Oh you can also set income, where you work, what kinda job you have, stuff that surveys tend to ask. I used to use this for Prizerebel, and all those other sites. |
