I think most of you guys should get warned for baiting him. He stated his opinions and you guys had to be the perfect people to egg him on. I agree with Greg that he was the best thing to happen to this forum in a long time. Now, since he is gone, this forum has been lowered in terms of actual content. If anything, Katie should have been given an infraction for calling him a D-bag in the post right after his. I believe his post was in no way flaming. How can you flame by using the word inept? Seriously guys, learn to enjoy it instead of going out to ban him just because he believes homosexuality is wrong.

I think Hyper is a corrupted kid. His parents are very strict Christians. I also think he's lieing about his age. No 15 year old acts like that. His parents probably told him to fake his age on the internet.

I was pretty tolerant to Hyper. I answered his questions when no one else to. I did him a favor by trade winning with him on iTCG, and he secretly told me that I was his first friend. Ever.

I obviously can't feel the same, though. His beliefs were too conservative. Still, I felt a bit hurt from saying the last sentence before Hyper quit the IRC, as it sucks to have someone you thought was a friend attack you, even if it's the truth.

For the first portion, I find it completely ridiculous that Hyperhopper was the only one with an infraction. But like I said, I'm not surprised at the lack of rule enforcement on this forum anymore. Actually now that I think about it, what's the point of infractions anyway... they're rarely used when they should be and people just can just remake their account.

Also, sarcasm is a hard thing to comprehend on the internet no? He does have reason to get angry despite how strange his views and arguments might be. I think the members on this forum know people like that exist. Perhaps he hasn't been exposed to the views of others. Maybe considering his side of the story would be nice. Although I disagree with his views, I still feel badly for him.

It's kind of like the polygamist area Bountiful. The ladies there are totally fine and are happy knowing their husband has dozens of wives. They were raised learning this was good, and wouldn't you expect them to defend those views if you believed them to be right?

If you know he has some social problems, I think the best thing to do is to try and be friends or just do nothing (in contrast to throwing criticisms). He's not a bad person.

Ok, time to be serious here.

I admit, quite an amount of users here has sorta trolled him to the point in which it should be considered as harassment. He never went out of lines for his random question, though at times, unrelated to the current topic at hand. I admit, I did teased him a bit, but all in good jest. Not in a way that would cause him to hate me, in fact, look at his signature for further evidence. He took it as a light-hearted joke. He is a bit naive and perhaps incompetent when it comes to 'sarcasm' on the internet, but at times, I do that too. What I did like about him was that he didn't take anything overly personal, and just "?" at everything, or mis-interpreted/understood things because of "lost-in-translation" communication. He seemed really young, for one who boasted that he was 15 years old. I didn't insult him at all on his profile page, if you were to look on his profile, basically because 100% everything I do on SP is to humor myself, even if others may find it annoying, immature, or just stupid. It's a forum.

Secondly, he did posted in other sections of the forums, as Kevin as stated. Give the damn kid a break. Tease him, it's alright. But not to the point in which you might hurt his feelings. His views on homosexuality was immature, but best you can do is convince him otherwise with intellectual discussion, don't flame him. Oh well, he's gone now, so no point in making a fuss or whine over it.

Fussing over something that will most likely never return is meaningless. But changing how things happens the next time something like this occurs is another.

Either way I feel sorry for him. We just ate him alive, and he defended himself in the only way he knew how, which led to his banning. Sure I joined in being mean to him on occasion, but I actually tried to avoid being mean after a little while. He was actually a decent kid, he just needed to calm down a bit. He even sent me a PM to say thank you for being one of the few people who actually gave him a second chance and accepted him as not being stupid after playing him a few times on iTCG. It sucks what those people did to hyperhopper. Constantly flaming him, and he gets infracted for stating his opinions. It's like when my older sister starts fighting with me about something and my mom yells at me because of it.

I'm disappointed in you guys. I never responded nor bashed hyperhopper's posts, and I come here seeing you guys in a way egged him into getting himself banned. This is at a different level than when you guys made Shikage leave SP a couple times.

I highly doubt that you can be the one to say this...Being christian does not make you corrupted in any way. He was entitled to his beliefs as well. Let's not destroy his life because he doesnt share the same opinions. Southperry shouldn't be ganging up on everyone that doesn't approve of homosexuality the instant it is said. His points were logical, and were taken out of context which led to him being upset. He should not have been the only one infracted in that mess. I just with Southperrians could stop being arrogant douchebags to every new member. I agree that hyper was a little annoying at times with his postings in certain funhouse threads, but that doesn't mean we should all kill him. He utilized this forum just like everyone else. Being conservative on Southperry SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME. He is not the only anti-homosexuality member on Southperry. He was more open on his beliefs, while others, myself, do not blatantly state and accuse people. Although it might have seemed rude, he did keep it civil. I think this is the time to rethink how members are treated, because it is OBVIOUS not everyone gets the same treatment.
