My all time favorite character. I can't rebuild a sin though, it's too difficult for me. But this was when I found illbis at Mushmom so I went and used em out of excitement after my third job.

There are some of my Fighter and characters from beta somewhere, but the Forum 57 (OnRPG MapleStory board pre-2006, when it was actually good) archives got nuked and sadly I don't think I can find any anywhere.

Oldest screenshot of Beguiling on an adventure down Eos Tower. The chatboxes in alot of the screenshots past this point are empty, I was pretty much a complete loner on Maple when everyone I knew quit.

Beating up old women as early as level 41. I went because I knew I was capable, and wasn't about to pay some random higher level 20k per item to collect them for me. Friggin' Jane get your own ingredients.

Primitive days of leech. I helped this guy by leeching him a whole 4% killing stirges alone. I was happy to help, and he was thankful.

Early 4x training. Retz were awesome EXP. The Rombot hidden-street was pretty awesome too, and when ever Rombot (R/Lombard? lolol) spawned, it was an awesome rush:

Smega Spammers of old. SlicingFang was particularly annoying. There was one called hackedpqlova or something too. I hated them all.

Last level on Gobbins before I left him in the dust, at HOT SANDS because DTs was unbearable.

The Maple community wasn't perfect, no matter how idealised it has become these days. Defamed and F7'd for having tan skin by some random CS hoe.

The first map of STDs. Like zombies 2.0 it was. In this particular SS BurninClaw decided to come KS me and this person I had met and buddied. He was KSing me "for fun", trying to take as much EXP away from me and my buddy as possible. He promptly cried a little and left when I levelled in front of his face. FailKS :O

Attack glove prices back then. My god they were cheap, I remember buying a 14att glove for 120m too in my 9x. Downgraded pretty soon afterwards so I could get more attack elsewhere.

Curryishott at level 183. I never followed the top rankings with much interest, but a level 183 was SS-worthy enough.

People used to say all sorts about my face. It was fun to play along, sometimes it got me a discount out of "pity" if I was buying things. I wasn't complaining.

Mushmom after 3rd job and Wolf Spiders. Completely deserted. It was saddening to see it like that.

Another example of the Maple community rearing its ugly head. A fandit, a goddam FANDIT declared my character a "waste of llv" because I used STR daggers. This was before Dragon Khanjars. If this guy didn't quit before GMS was flooded by Dkhanjars, he should have felt extremely silly about going fandit, he looks bothered by that kind of thing.

lolManda. I knew of SqueakySun's existence because my friend Jezjam knew SqueakySun when she was 6x (he was 5x) and they both randomly met at Cloud Park. A 6x crossbow user at the time was UNHEARD OF. I MEAN, XBOWS SUCK AND ARE SLOW RITE. I randomly SS'd her whenever I saw her character, the sheer level jumps were insane. Once again, level 125 xBow user, never before seen one. Think she was either 14x, 15x or 16x in the other SS, I don't remember. i no stalk i swear

Good old crowded Scania. Holding enter and clicking furiously was practically routine on weekends.

OH BOY 4TH JOB AND LEAFRE!!1 The atmosphere was electric, could almost feel other people's excitement at exploring a new HIGH LEVEL AREA even if they died miserably in the process.

First time ever seeing an Ultimate. I thought it looked like the most amazing skill ever, but it didn't even cross my mind to restart my I/L again just to get it, it was dead to me. Not that I even saw myself ever reaching 4th job in the foreseeable future at the time.

Meso Explosion training in Deep Ludi. Exp wasn't great (12%/hr), expensive as hell, but was way morefun than either Gryphons or STDs. By late 8x I was glad to turn my back to both of these places and never look back.

Screw you Maplemas, just because you're a complete ripoff of IRL christmas everyone picked you so they could look "christmassy" in maple for the IRL festive season. Versalmas4lyfe.

Level 5x Bandit (JustRob pre-name change, or ¬Rob on SP) at Tauromacis. Pro (read: narb).

I wanted to use a Cursayer as an "end-game" weapon. Stocked up on tons of the things (dagger scrolls were like 1.5m at the time) and went crazy with scrolling. All the decent clean ones were destroyed. I had 2 94att clean ones, 3 93att clean ones and the rest were 91 or 92 att. Yet there was 1 93att 6slot one I bought for something ridiculous like 300k. Out of all the potentially crazy ones, this piece of junk was the one that ended up as my finished dagger:

Last one, selling off the weapon that pretty much made my character. After this I had no interest in Maple for a long long time. I temp-quit again.

I wonder what I would have done had I not allowed Maple to be such a huge part of my life (inb4 done well in school, become more social, got a gf etc etc).
