Hardest school subect you''ve ever studied?

OMG, I would love that class.

I haven't taken anything particularly hard. But this year I'll be taking AP Calculus, so that'll probably be my hardest class.

Trig...which is why it blows my mind that Fiel is so frickin' amazing at it.

I also hated Natural Sciences in Univ, but that was due to an extremely boring Prof...image a 90 minute lecture on the sex life of a desert mite done in monotone voice. The only class I ever fell asleep in, but doing the impressions of that particular lecture always seem to get a good laugh.

On the opposite side of this question, my favorites were Probability & Statistics in Univ, Calculus in H.S., and College Reading in H.S. (think AP vocab - 50 college-level vocab words each week).

Remember guys, the teacher makes all the difference in the world. Some inspire you to give it your all and others are just AWPs (A**holes w/power).

History because it's memorizing loads of pomegranate that aren't linked together by a specific equation like Math or Science. Foreign language courses I don't like much either.

One of the hardest classes I've taken was a course on metabolism. It involved memorizing like you would not imagine. Take every single major metabolic pathway in living organisms (glycolysis, kreb's cycle, fatty acid synthesis, urea cycle, etc. etc.) and memorize all the intermediate chemical structures along with enzymes and reactants and products as they enter and leave the pathways. Fun fun. So glad I'm done with biochemistry lol.

Aww, really kafro? I enjoy history & languages, just because they tend to be much more...how can I say it? I guess contextual. You don't necessarily have to memorize every single thing possible to excell, a lot of it boils down to patterns.

Hardest (insofar) for me would probably be my...AP Physics C Mechanical (calc-based) course. I loved my AP calc class in high school, but that didn't carry over as much for physics. I did well enough, but it would have helped if I tried studying >_>

Hmm well i would have to say the most pain in the ass class that i took in high school was Honors American History. The teacher was such a b*tch. She basically underminded all her students & had that "I'm always right" mentality. On grading the exams we had a essay exam , if she couldn't find our thesis statement we basically got an 'F'.. & everyone knows that your thesis statement is in your intro paragraph..the very last statement..

In my University, I'm on the fence with 2 classes. One would have to be C programming that i took way back in my Freshman year, & the other one would have to be 1 that I just finished taking(Database Implementation & Design). In C programming the professor went ALL over the place with topics & I felt like a total idiot b/c i didn't understand half of what the hell he was talking about b/c he would jump around every 5 seconds . Going to his office hours DIDN'T help for the life of me b/c he didn't even make sense there 0_o. So yeah needless to say i didn't do too well in that class. DBID was the most annoying class ever, b/c we had a group project and i HATE slackers . In the beginning of the semester, my group members were all tentative & got to group meetings on time. Towards the end, however..I'm stuck working on my part, & basically NO ONE was willing to help me...needless to say when peer evaluations were available I told them all to go to hell. It was only worth about 10% of your total grade, but at least it's something to screw someone over on lol

Back in my "high school" days I had troubles with history. I do like the course but it didn't matter how much I studied for it, I didn't seem to get a lot higher than a 5/10 (I'm from the Netherlands and we get scores on a scale from 0-10 instead of A,Bs etc. So I dropped the course after year 4 out of the 6 years "high school/ VWO". Nowadays in my study I usually have troubles with law courses.

Bio was so thorough and long it was difficult, Physics was so intense and convoluted but I loved it.

I'm only halfway through high school, so I haven't seen any really hard classes, but freshman world history was hard for me. All that information just didn't click for me...

calculus, accounting, history (i don't care about what happened 200 years ago in my shabby ass country) and technical drawing (it's dibujo tecnico in spanish, dunno how to call it in english, it's basically drawing with a ruler and stuff)

i love drawing without a ruler though, philosophy, psychology, sociology and any of my art classes. graphic design as a subject is pretty fun too...

edit: also, i like all foreign languages :S i have a thing for any language besides spanish. and @nannerz: metabolism is cool, i like biochemistry, i'm into bodybuilding (more of a powerlifter though) so i learned about all that good stuff reading FLEX magazines and Muscle & Fitness

Physics. Had a great teacher and that class was still a pain in the ass to learn.

IFR Approach Methods. TERRIBLE teacher, and even more non-understandable material.

ALL of my Pharmacy classes and my Chem. classes. If it wasn't for me wanting to be a damn Nurse so bad, I'd say pineapple it and pick something else.

Chem. Because for every rule, there are 200 exceptions to that rule.

AP Latin III

OMG Latin is REALLY complicated for being the most simplistic, elegant, and to the point language...

Didn't help that we had to translate 2 chapters of the Aenied, which isn't easy latin...

On top of all the grammar/spelling/pronounciations/sentence strucures we had to memorize A LOT of dates/events in Rome (more so than I had to remember in AP Government/AP Econ, and that's basically what those classes were about).

I have nightmares about declensions still...

i completely agree with that statement, but the excuse for teaching history is "we must learn the past to not repeat mistakes in the future" or something like that, but with the kind of idiots the world has they usually just go and screw up regardless of what they've learned from history.

i still don't know how it helps me knowing that Christopher Columbus "discovered" america...
