More Permanent Items

Actually I get item pouch/meso magnet because of APQing 3 times a day =\. Plus I suck at looting.

Sure is fun not being able to pot through my main attacking 4th job skill.

Sure is sad that you can't let go of your skill for even a fraction of a second to use a potion. I've had a BM and a Corsair, and I've bossed on both. Autopot is completely unnecessary, inefficient, and I've heard people complain about how their autopot failed them enough times for me to never want one.

I may have only played my Bowmaster for 15 levels, but I never once had a problem with potting and using Hurricane at the same time.

I use a combination of auto-pot and regular potting, so that I can fight BF without having to push the heal key twice, because it would make it harder for me to keep him KB. I also like it for when I'm running around training, so that I can focus solely on the monsters and not on my HP.

So is it just me, or can anyone find the new permanent stuff in CS today?

See I can be dumb too.

For people with lag issues, pet loot is pretty much essential, unless they make all their mesos from FM or whatever. Its just too slow to pick up stuff one item at a time. (pickup up time per item = 2 x ping time) But autopot doesn't work well when there is lag, and it is dangerous to rely on it. Bought it once, never will again.
On the other hand, people who with essentially zero lag can loot as fast as a pet does (people without lag look like hackers to people with lag), so for them pet loot is not essential, whereas autopot might be reliable and useful.

Already addressed, picking up drops manually takes a lot longer than letting your pet pick them up.

Pressing the pot button in no way slows you down.

Potting during Hurricane when Pap's magic atks do over half your HP is utterly annoying, seeing as he spams those. As for looting delay, I second that. I used to play with crappy internet connection and thus developped a habit to never pick up any meso/etc unless I'm hunting for those etcs for a quest. I also lost 100% off the drop games I participated in. Worst I could measure was 20 secs taken to loot a single pack of meso.

While if you play slow attacking classes, like Drk myself, you can overlap the pot delay and the attack skill delay to minimize the hassle of potting while attacking.

Bullpomegranate, if i'm hurricaning, having to stop every 2 seconds to pot doesn't slow me down? Counting in the lag that hurricane has after you pot before you can attack again. Yeah, that doesn't slow me down. I can sure see the fun part of pot-> attack, get hit within the second after hurricane starts by some magic attack, rinse repeat every second rather than just killing the monster ...

And, you don't need to loot, I'd love to see you bossing or training without ever potting.

Slows you down as much as walk-Hurricaning. Which is not very much at all.

I keep making back the money i spent on my pets stuff. When you train at O4 there's a ton of stuff that gets in the way if a PoT drops, and if you don't see it, then sometimes you miss it. With a pet i always get every piece that drops, and it only takes a few to regain the money i used.

Not to mention that with a pet your training speed increases because you're not wasting time picking up everything.

Well , one would-have-been-missed time piece picked up by your pet basically pays for the item pouch itself, so it's a good idea to have one if you frequent oblivion 4. Your training speed doesn't slow down without a pet though, assuming you don't pick up anything common in the first place.
