How long do you think it'll take an aran in GMS to reach 200?

TehMatt Wrote:To be exact, Kara, KMS' first Aran, started on July 9th, 2009, and got to 200 on September 14th, 2009.

Cyanne Wrote:That is ridiculously insane considering kMS doesn't have lowered exp to level, the crazy 2nd/3rd job training spots, or 2x exp cards... did kMS get some sort of event that allowed anything beyond family 2x exp? Because if not, someone going at that pace in gMS would reach 200 under two weeks.

Reflexx Wrote:Kara (first 200 aran who actually trained all the way) never logged. and no there were no 2x events. So it was 24/7 for a month, I heard she had partners to take over when she was eating/sleeping. idk :f6:

Pantaloon Wrote:The longest time "Kara" logged for was like 30 minutes apparently. She AFK'd in FM CH10 a lot (as do I) though.

I heard her and her friends x2 partied all the time too. Share casting.

How come? You can get to level 200 without leeching by training 4 hours per weekday and 16 in total hours per weekend (8 hrs sat and sunday) in a month as a F/P. That's actually not that fast.

With a dedicated Aran, that would result in 2 weeks. In order to be 100% sure, 2.5 weeks.

I'm inclined to believe Devil's Sunrise. 2.5 weeks.

Judging from Pirates, 3 days, KoC took 1 day to get to 120. So maybe a week at max.

AnnihiIating Wrote:i love how people are saying stuff like 2.5 weeks, it took me 1 full month for 190 - 200 with constant 7 hours of 4x and 11 hours on weekends, and people are saying 2.5 weeks and crap for 1 - 200? LOL and i was getting 35m per 30 minute family buff, which for an NL is pretty good. 1 - 120 may be able to be done in one day, but 120 - 200 will take aleast 2-3 months depending on how much training is done.

Not for the average potential level 200 character, but there are some extremely dedicated people out there who will go for the first Aran to level 200. After seeing the time it took for the first kMS aran character (two months plus a few days), taking 2x cards and the lowered exp curve into account makes about 3-4 weeks for a gMS player with the same kind of dedication, assuming we get the same leechless aran event. So a little more than two and half weeks, if there's someone out there as dedicated as the first level 200 aran in kMS.

:f6: Wow. I assume that is all with 4x due to 2x card+family exp? Still thats fast...I need to make a F/P. lol

Well then, if GMS gets hourglasses then getting to level 200 will be that much easier.

What are the hourglasses supposed to do?

10% extra exp for first hour wearing it
20% extra exp for second hour wearing it
30% extra exp for every hour wearing it thereafter

i dunno about this 2.5 weeks stuff, could be possible....

took me a lil over 100 days to hit 200 on my bishop--however i didnt have the exp curve until 14x, i had that full 24 or 36 hrs of 4x (didnt have 8x at that time as i was clueless on buffing mules) but around level 190 i had a full 13 hours of 4x daily on her straight thru to 200.

2 points--she was a bishop who could 1hko skele by mid 13x so EXP gain was very high-esp as the primary killer. downside--i was leeching sgtbawble nonstop from 120 onward and he was 18x when i was 12x so my exp was slower than a soloer. thinking back on SgtBawble's final 20 levels tho... it was at least 2 weeks from 180-200. and that was at 8-16 hours a day of nonstop grinding on 4x.... might have been more like 3-4 weeks for those final 20 levels, id have to check SS.

i think for a contest itd be nice to see just how far the boundaries can be pushed, but the aran class by nature is one of combos right? really takes some skill and alot more fun with this particular class.... i wouldnt mind seeing leech somehow removed for this class.

Except the first scenario is not even possible, so the later conclusion would naturally be off. It takes 31b (roughly) exp to do 1-200; at 36 hours per week for a month (144 hours total), you have to average ~215m exp/hour, which is not even possible. The fastest exp/hour that mages could reach is around 110-120m (I am pretty sure about this, without exp pendant), which is barely half of what you would need to do that.

Of course, that doesn't even account for the time it takes to actually reach fourth job (you won't get 215m exp/hour during 2nd job!), let alone the long 120-200 grind. Anything under 1.5-2 months would really surprise me.

They were talking about 24/7 with double shifts or even triple shifts, which means, not 36hrs/week, it's 168 hrs/week (not 144), so with 70m/hr, which is very reasonable for every class, you can get there in less than 18.5 days (2.5 weeks)

That hasn't even included the exp pendant.

and if you say 1-120 u level slower, we can add that 1 more day into account, it's still only 19.5 days (less than 3 weeks).

I say 2 weeks if they use 2x rep and 2x cards: 4x. Also 4xing on Nexons weekly 2x events. BF leech from 30 and so forth. It's possible but costly, Nx wise.

I am referring to Mondays post (which you must not have read); what else was said before that is irrelevant.

Regardless, obviously if you share an account and have it on 24/7 you can reach 200 in a few weeks. Most of us here are more so referring to the time it would take a single person to reach the plateau, and not an illegitimate account (In my opinion, at least).

It took 17 hours for the first 120 Cygnus in GMS, I'm sure an Aran could probably keep up that kind of EXP rate, So 17/1.39*100= roughly 1223-1224 hours, or 50 days non-stop. I'm fairly certain a good Aran could get his exp rate much higher than that, however, so I'll say 4-6 weeks.

It took a pure trained Aran in KMS 9 weeks and 4 days to become 200 with the nerves party formula the whole time Goggleemoticon

I went in Excel and did some calculations based on whoever said that 1st Cygnus 120 took 17 hours.
