Also, Quad Core computers with ~4 GB ram and a x64 windows system aren't as expensive as you think. I got mine for €499, and that's because the taxes here are 20%.

@person who said to not turn off UAC. I didn't actually. To my suprise, the manufacturers of this comp had it turned off by default.

My vista has a glitch with it's internet connecting. Vista doesn't take much longer compared to 7 in the time it takes to actually SEE THE DESKTOP, but vista takes a s'hit load of time to actually DO ANYTHING. 7 can get into the internet in less than 2 minutes on 7 which is a fraction of the time it takes vista to do the same with the exact same hardware.

The fact remains that 7 is still faster than vista in getting on the internet because it takes literally 3 clicks in a fast as f'uck GUI to join a wireless network. Msoft has already acknowledged that the way they did wireless sucked ass in vista anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure 7 is definitely an improvement over Vista... but I just dislike it when people bash Vista unfoundedly and jump to blame it for every single problem with their computer.

And especially people who would insist on "upgrading" their new Vista computers to XP. I'm on XP now, because I couldn't be assed to look for my recovery CD and I honestly don't care what OS I'm using as long as my programs work (which they did), but I was on Vista for 2 years and never felt the urge to replace it until I finally decided to get rid of the Dell bloatware that had taken up half of my pomegranate 80GB hard drive since the day I got it.

True, Vista is slower with crap hardware, but it's not as pomegranatety and bug-ridden as people make it out to be.

I didn't bash vista until i got 7 actually. That says something, lol.

Vista gets way better on high end hardware, which in my opinion, my laptop is. Truth be told the only reason i dislike vista at this point is because it takes so long to get on the internet. I only dual booted it with 7 (which i still am) is because it had office on it, which i needed for classes. Now that i got office (for free thanks to a friend) i could easily delete my vista partition if i wanted to.

Win7 doesn't have alot of skins as of yet, so I'm doubting.
