Ranger:
Advantages: We have a great, unique arsenal of skills. We're great soloers, provided we can take a place in the first place. We get, in my opnion, some of the most visually appealing skills in the game. Inferno is sexy, and Puppet is just so damn cute! And face it -- Eagle is a strange tint of yellow, especially in comparison to our stunning Hawk. Oh, and having 99% stun is great too, especially at Newties. We may have been nerfed before, but Nexon's more than made up for that with recent patches. My class is relativly cheap to equip, and our weapons don't look bad either. We do okay in boss fights, it's no t until 4th job where the lack of HP becomes frustrating. I can take a hit from everything I train on, though it did take a few levels before I stopped dying at Nest Golems.
Disadvantages: Though I can solo with Hawk and Puppet, Puppet can easily be made void when other people attack its monsters. This happened to me frequently when I partied at Squids. Other attackers would be like "HAY LOOK! THE RANGER HAS A MOB! LEt'S HELP HER! *Attacks and unpuppetizes monsters*
". When this happens, repuppetizing is often needed, which can take some time and cut into EXP gain. Our skills, though great, take many levels to build up before they become useable. In early levels, they're a joke, at best. It takes 6 full level ups to make Hawk just somewhat efficient. As a bowman, we have limited mobility. Anything we can kill, a sin can kill faster.
