Because paying someone else to play for you totally counts as a play style.

As much as I disagree with anti leech(and I've never leeched myself). IF the majority wants this update, enjoy getting all your exp hogged by mages and bishops. We just have to deal with it if the majority wants this.

But really, to go this far to stop leech, something that shouldn't even concern you, what's the point? Congradulations, you stopped leech, what did that accomplish?

made the game playable again. Won't have people KS my bigfoot because they're trying to sell the experience to some worthless noob. Won't have people trying to take my map while i'm hunting Harp cards. There won't be as many rude and thoughtless people who leeched all their levels and have no idea about basic etiquette.

Leech may be ruined, but it still exists.

I think this thread has accomplished something,
but that is unimportant.
Also, sharing training is now very efficient.
I wonder if getting to 200 will become a bigger accomplishment after wards.

OffTopic;
Kara the highest level Aran in kMS has just his 197.

The BF thing is fixed by the PG acc thing, for the most part anyway. No need to screw everyone over for that when it's already solved by something else.

@ above: What's her damage look like?

That is great to hear. I don't mind leechers, I just don't like how leeching is the fastest way to train until like level 13x with the current exp system. It beats party training by far for 1st-3rd job.

People are still going to ks bigfoot, Just not as often. And what's the point of BFING when they have that update, it's gonna be hard to survive 11k+ damaged hits unless you pt with a dk, and of course due to 1 of the dk's having to do lower damage than you they're obviously out of the exp, meaning the only point for BF would be for the ''challenge'' of it. I'd love to see how many dk's are willing to waste 20 minutes with someone for the ''challenge'' of not losing 10% of their exp. It's still going to be hard to get a bf, and if that pg accuracy formula is true then that isn't a problem anyway.

Harp cards? That's not much of an exuse, some people don't feel like leveling and just want to get to third job, They don't find it fun to spam skills on AI's for a few hours a day. But they may find it fun to grind at future jobs, take out the leeching aspect of this game and I guarentee you the hackers will increase a lot.

Again, you're willing to ruin a bunch of people you think are pathetic for not feeling like grinding through hell levels, just to have a harp card and a bf that you'd never be able to find a good pt for? You're always going to have a possibility of being ksed, regardless of if leech is there or not.

Again, I see little threat into leeching. It's being massively over exaggerated.

1) If they're leeching at harps, they're already at 3rd job.
2) How the hell can you guarantee that hackers will increase a lot when leechers don't know how to hack/there aren't any amazing leveling hacks out there right now? >_>
3) Hell levels is a pathetic excuse for "i can't find motivation to train and/or don't want to". Hell levels do not exist. If you think leveling is hell NOWADAYS, f'uck man you should probably quit.
4) Since when the f'uck did you need a party to kill BF and how the f'uck would the exp change matter in regards to BF.

News flash: People really only kill BF for a few reasons. Exp, his toe, and leeching. Leech is gotten rid of with the removal of PG. That basically gets rid of most people who kill BF in the first place, because that only leaves exp as a reason to kill him (everyone has gotten a toe who can kill him). KSing a BF off isaac would decrease in probability.

1) Kay you owned me there

2) How the hell can you gaurentee that hackers WON'T increase and that the ex leechers won't try to find new ways to hack, and do it? Hacking is pretty useless right now because, well. You can leech, I don't see how they automatically have no idea how to hack.

3) Recently it has been easier to level with the family, 2x events, 2x cards, and exp reduction. Some people still don't enjoy the leveling process it takes/cannot afford money for all those exp reductions. To you it may seem easy, but for some people, 5 levels in 5 hours is to slow for them. I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to seek the fastest way to level.

4)I am only saying that 1 touch from BF and you're pretty much dead, it's very risky unless you have a dk to hb you to have enough hp to withstand a touch from it, and no dk's are going to want to pt with you because they're not going to get any exp from it.

In the long run you did own me though, still. The PG formula should be enough to keep the BF leechers at bay, if BF is really that important. However I still think the rest of the game should remain umharmed.

I'm all for making leeching ineffective, but I agree with those who said this formula also kills party training. Or at least some forms of it.
For example: Himes. No Priest will want to train there anymore, if all their work (and potion burn) at luring will get them miniscule experience, just because all the kills are credited to the attacker.

I believe the right way to go about it would be an "afk detector": if you don't move or attack in X seconds, you go into "afk mode", in which you get no exp whatsoever.
I am aware people will quickly start developing 'bots to circumvent this detector, but *shrug* that's no reason not to implement it.

1. Priest burn potions at Himes? :f6:
2. Priests will be able to party with much higher level attackers, just as they've always done. Yes, they will train slower. But an 8x priest partying with a 12x DrK gets exp like you wouldn't believe with the current system, and a change to the formula won't kill their ability to level. It probably needs some tweaking, but this is a very small problem compared to the overwhelming benefits that it will have elsewhere.

Which is in line with pretty much every decent boss in the game. Paps 2nd form touches me? Dead. Anego hits me with her slap? Dead. Walking onto pianus? Dispelling and a high chance of death. Walking into zakum, horntail or pink bean? lol. Doesn't mean I need HB to kill them though.

2) You need money to leech. Where do you get the money from if you're an ex-hacker? *suspicious*

3) One level per hour now (and saving a lot of money )or 20% per hour later. Hard choice.

4) Yes, killing BiggyFoot is risky. People try to avoid it for some reason. Oh-- If DKs can attack Biggy, they get exp.

It would also be fixed by only splitting party exp based on damage done, unless you're within 5 levels of the person doing the damage (or at-above monster level).

Level 6x does ~1 damage? They get ~1 exp. Not 30% exp. Level 12x DRK parties you? They get the normal split.

Priests don't need to leech at himes to level up - in fact for a good chunk of time they were considered strong attackers (then 4th job came out and Bishops took over)

I don't have a problem with people seeking the fastest way to level, I do have a problem when it turns out to be "party a 13x and sit on a rope while they kill stuff". IMO fastest exp should be training party @ your own level > soloing > PQs > leeching anything.

We might see people gaining enough gameplay skill from staying away from rope that maybe one day we'll see as skilled player as those one in gMS:

2) If they knew how to hack and train faster than leech, they would. It's free, faster, "more fun", etc. The reason i know they won't is because they haven't. Think about it. If a hacker had a choice between leeching and finding a new way of hacking to train faster than leeching, which do you think he would do? Problem is that there is very few ways to hack now that no delay is gone. Eventually there'll be a hack again, but not now.

3) That wasn't the point...

4) That's pretty much every single boss for a ranged class. How many ranged classes do you know that can take a 11k hit with HB anyway? Any class that kills BF can, and usually does, do it alone. There is no class in the game that cannot kill BF without help with the exception of bishops.

Why would a DrK want to party with you in the first place? Ranged classes f'uck up a DrKs ability to kill, and DrKs f'uck up the ranged classes ability to kill.
