THIS is why everyone is getting banned.

Hmm. I thought it was naughty volunteer GMs banning people to get FM spots.

Mine still makes more sense if you ask me Tongue

If they had such proof to be 100% sure that you have illegit mesos, don't you think they would perma ban those accounts?

I think Nexon is making a really bad move here, because no one can be sure he/she is getting his/her items bought with legit mesos.

Nexon is able to strip accounts for both mesos and items, thus the problem is avoided.

Edit: I have as far as I know not heard about any other tickets. What we believe in would however not prove anything.

I dont know why nexon is suddenly bringing this up considering everyone is somehow related to it. Guess it's the unlucky vs the lucky.

TJ used to play a char called BUMBLEBEE in all 1337 right?

If so that guy was a douche.

*edit: wait I'm thinking of a guy named Tyler Jones. Same guy?

@Mondays:
I had exactly the same reply. I'd say it's safe to assume all other characters who got banned at exactly the same time were banned for the same reason.

Still, it does not make any sense at all why they would ban for this, seeing as anyone with a store cannot do anything to avoid this happening. Waiting for a reply on my new ticket now.. gonna be another 2-3 days I guess.

Yeah that's him, hes pretty much mikes dog lol. Anyway worse case scenario is people miss the ability to sever change.

Yeah, it's safe to assume that at least a good portion of the people being banned was banned because of this, if I consider SW a good source.

The interesting thing we'll be looking at, is if you're losing everything you've earned (or bought? I suppose Nexon hit some of those too.) or not.

Isn't he like 12? He was such a plantain when I played, made up some random rumor that I threatened to stab him, just cuz I told him to stop spamming in guild.

I sure hope this will not happen, since all of mesos were hard earned. Never bought any mesos. This might be a reason for me quitting this game if this happens.

I guess we'll have to wait and see, since the chances of getting unbanned are close to zero at the moment. >_>

Well, was it 14 or 9 days? You could always go outside, at least over here there's nice weather out Tongue1

Eventually, log on on mapleglobal and check what kind of equips your main has. It's still possible to look at it, but the rankings are all pineappleed. If he has none, then I'd sadly suspect removal of equips, and most likely mesos as well.

It's 9 days, till August 7th. And I wouldn't go outside now, it's 11:57 pm atm. f3 Leveling a Blaze Wizard on my mule account for now anyway just to still try and enjoy this patch somehow.

Yeah I noticed when I logged in on the maplestory site, can still see the image of my selected main character even though it's not on rankings.
All my cash shop equips are covering my equips though, so can't really see this. Only my dagger and shield I guess. But they'd go very far if they even remove the equips. >_> Removing the mesos would already be bad enough.

They did that on MSEA for a pretty long time when people were banned for hacking. That with obvious proof, of course. Which I consider a nice penalty. (But enough of that Tongue)

Oh well. Hopefully noone who has not done anything bad will be hurt due to this.

Why do they ban people who traded with people with bad mesos? It is imposible to know if you have them, and you don't get any profit from it. They are worth the same thing as normal mesos.

They should only ban people who actually got the mesos in the first place, or better yet, nobody since it is impossible to try and find out who did it.

You think they can't figure out that someone hacks? :f6:

You guys have this completely misunderstood.

This could be due to trading with a player who illegally obtained mesos and/or purchasing mesos from a "gold farming" or meso selling website. These website conduct activities that are illegal and completely against our Terms of Use. We strongly suggest that you refrain from being involved in any of the above activities.

First clause separates the category of the types of meso sellers in the 2nd clause. Illegally obtained mesos: meso generator. Many banned accounts received mesos (probably knowingly, unless you have a friend who consistently gives you billions of mesos for no reason F3) illegally.

Ergo, someone with hacked mesos was banned, but in all probability, not the merchants who received mesos from store sales after the buyer obtained illegal mesos.

kk....

Player A sells/distributes illegal mesos (billions) to player B.

Player B goes on a shopping spree with illegal mesos and gets items from Player C.

Player C is now the one in hold of the mesos.

Nexon tracks the server activity of players A, B, and C, and notices illegal trading only from Players A and B. Both are teh banned!!11111 Player C is not banned since he/she is innocent based on the result of the investigation. Ergo, player C has no history/connection with players A and B. Player C should not be banned, in probability.

I think its been more like players B and C (or just C) get banned while player A gets away with it. lol
