Wow! 1st lvl 120 cygnus?
#41
Leeching a NL / whatever class Adventurer-race is normal. I think leeching a Cygnus kind of takes away the purpose of having fun though... Cygnus is overpowered as it is, it's one of those classes that you play for fun, not to get to lv 200, etc. It's more-so for casual gamers, Nexon just had to make a competition out of it to suck away the fun. Now people are going to Bigfoot leech their Cygnus.

Stop shitting on the thread with the discussion about leech. If you have nothing to do other than discuss the legitimacy / illegitimacy / what-the-fuck-ever about getting to 120 already, then don't post here.

But to each his own. Me, I will celebrate with a presidente later.
You keep bringing things back from my old character. That happened in 2007 and has nothing to do with my current one. I really don't know what you mean by "punching babies" and "stealing church money" though. Lol.

Celebrations can wait until I am 200.

On-topic: Yay! Level 120 Cygnus!!!

Leeching, although looked down on by players is not illegal. He used all means to be first, he did it, all those that failed are butt hurt that he won the iPod or laptop or whatever.

No matter what way you TRY to put it he is 120 legitly.

I think you're the butt hurt one because he's obviously your friend and you don't like it when people talk badly about your buddies.

Tell me when the first lvl 120 cygnus gets there training by himself for the entire period, and then I'll be impressed. To me, this is just another all too common character leeched to 120.

Did he do any of the Cygnus quests? Did he use any of the skills unique to the class? No? Then he just did what people have done for the past year, nothing special.

If he did it for the laptop..
Kudos to him, for finding a loophole in Nexon's event... leeching.

If he did it for the buff,
I'm not gonna congratulate him, because it's only a buff he wanted, not the hard earned achievement of the first Level 120.

If he did it for ranks,
what. a. freakin. loser.

Leeching doesn't make you pro.

/Topic

If Nexon actually gives them the laptop I will laugh.

They will.

The excuse, "He/she has their plan all worked out and trained hours and hours to achieve this goal before anyone else!"

Why are you all talking about a laptop? The 1st price is an iPod, not a laptop.

Still nice though, but nothing I'd leech my Cygnus for. >_>

This thread makes me lol.
An extremist could also argue that using charms is outside of the spirit of the original game >_>

I'm actually fine with people who use 2x since its supporting Nexon and all but leeching is going to far >_>

This person certainly deserves a big "grats" for out-leeching the hundreds of leechers out there. If he didn't get to 120 first, some other leecher would have. The fact that he managed to outdue them by far is an accomplishment, especially since there was a prize in the end aside from being the "first" Level 120 Cygnus.

As for those who are saying "training the Cygnus to 120 is an accomplishment", no, not really. The Cygnus are an overpowered class for their respective levels and given their AP and skills, are extremely easy to level. If you want to complain about the "harder" way deserves more notice, give Level 120 Adventurers a bigger praise than Level 120 Cygnus'.

With that said, I'm training my Cygnus without leeching simply because I want to experience the class. Most of these people who are leeching their Cygnus don't care for the class, but would like the bonus. If they just want the stats and have the means and time to leech, then let them do it.

tl;dr: Too bad.

You read my mind. The only thing I like about this leecher is he found a definite way to get first prize. Otherwise, unimpressive and a waste of space.

I agree with Xephia. Out leeching/training the others must have been hard. I'm having fun without leeching.

Leeching is subjective in many opinion. If you're going to debate about something subjective, where will you end up in the end? A bunch of subjective flames with no objective conclusion.

Leeching or not, the one objective fact is he's the first KoC to get to 120. There's a reward for this journey, he's the first to achieve it therefore he reaps the rewards. The if the journey is important to you individuals, then enjoy it. This person obviously has a different goal to many of you and he achieved that goal whether it's ethical in your mind or not.

I think it has already been established that Nexon determines what is legit and what's not. Your opinion hence remains subjective and thus forthtelling the illegitimacy of this character does in fact makes you looks like a sore loser. The only control you have is how to play your KoC, so play it out to your full moral.

Of course, but it has to do with what most of us would think as sort of a gaming code of honour I suppose. You don't hack, even though you can. You don't exploit, even though you can. You don't shortchange your experience, even though you can.

To watch other people do it, and wipe all that you do in your face is just a plain insult.

Perhaps that's just me, but that seems to be a general consensus I'm feeling.

Insult to what? Your ego? Your hard work?

They're all still there. Why let your experience and enjoyment be dictated by others? Each has their own "style" of playing. Surely some affects you more than others, but frankly, you're just another grant of sand on the beach to Nexon. They're the only one who can take care of different "playing styles" and leeching isnt something deemed illegal to Nexon, thus its fair game even tho it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
