This.
My life is way to busy with watching TV, eating junk food, surfing Youtube, and wutnot to do something like make my bed.

Doesn't any of you get those "I think it's time to clean up my room?" mode? o_o That happens to me from time to time.
Mark, you're a guy. It's normal you don't care about your bed. f3
Manda, you're a girl. It's normal for you to want to change Mark's prehistorical habits. ^^
Prehistoric? :^|
Anyway, I tried telling her that. But Manda was all "No, omg the bed HAS to be made EVERY DAY!" She even threatened to take away my lasagna. >:

I sleep in a manner where the blankets and sheets dont move, so when I wake up, the bed is "automatically" made. No, I dont make my bed, yes it looks like it's made. Win win xD

What's so hard about it? Unless you're majorly screwing up the sheets every time you go to bed it takes about 10 seconds to smooth everything out, and voila, neat bed. I do it every day.

One of these useless things that women always think are extremely important. I used to do it because my mom made me, at some point I stoped dunno why.

Yes. It's like the homemaker in me comes out with a vengeance and I'll be cleaning my room the entire day.
ALSO, what happens when my fiance and I get into a fight (and I happen to be over at his place) is I'll bust out all the cleaning supplies and start cleaning his bathroom. Toilet, sink, shower, floor... he'll be all "WT'F ARE YOU DOING, WOMAN" then he gets more angry because he starts to feel guilty that I'm cleaning his bathroom. Then he apologizes.
Muahahahaha hooray for manipulative techniques.

Which is why I don't do it. There's no point for me, because when friends are over they're nearly never in my room, and i majorly screw up my bed every night. I sleep well, but I kick a ton while sleeping. It takes only a few days for the sheet to be kicked to the bottom of the bed and the comforter to be off the bed.
I think my body has problems with sleep paralysis.

A way to describ man's habits, Mark. f3
One way to solve you two's conflict. Everyday, play rock-paper-scissors. If you win, Mark, you don't ge tot do your bed. If Manda wins, you go make your bed.

I sleep huddled up in a bundle of blankets, pillows, my boyfriend and sheets on top of a mattress.
I tried making it once because it annoyed me that it looked like a pile of laundry. It went back to looking like that over night and I decided not to waste more energy on it.

I made mine last night. It's actually a lot more comfortable when it's been made

Agreed, plus it makes the room much more pleasurable to the eyes.

Oh my god thank you so much for this link. My boyfriend has dust mite allergies and his mom has been bugging him to make his bed (even though he's a college student on his own and about to go off to grad school). That made both our days. xD

Really? I find it more comfortable to be able to tuck the top sheet around my toes...
Anyway, yeah, I've made my bed like 20 times in my entire life. xD It's too hot to keep all the blankets on the bed most of the year, anyway... No point in throwing them back on every day. Especially when my room is too messy to have company come in anyway, and with nothing interesting like a TV or a computer there...

Looks like I lost this argument.
I make my bed for several reasons. If I don't make my bed when I get up I'm more liable to fall back asleep. At least if I'm out of bed, and it's made, it's like the day has started and sleep time is OVER. I've also had some incidents with unmade beds, namely things hiding in the bed sheets and then sitting on it, realising "oh pomegranate I just broke my mic/a mirror/a pencil". I like having a neat room too, if I want to relax on my bed and read a book, then I can do so without having to lay on a lumpy surface. I also share my room with the cat half of the day. If the bed isn't neat then he'll whine at me until it's neat enough for him to curl up to sleep on (or in, if it gets cold). It's just more convenient for me to have it neat. I used to be really bad at making beds but now I know why my mother spent 18 years telling me to make it. It's not even hard! It takes what, less than 10 seconds?
Lazy butts.

I can just as easily sit down on something and break it with a made bed, or fall asleep in a made bed, as with an unmade bed. This is more of a guy v. girl thing -- most girls I meet complain about men not making their beds, and they make their beds, and most guys don't care about it at all. It's one of those inconsequential things that divide men and women, a good other example being sports.
