HP Requirement for Pink Bean
#41
Anyone figured out a better position to pin PB other than 400 pixels right of the throne facing right? This position would plant ground lasers right where wheel of destiny users spawn.

Saar331 Wrote:Im lv 118 and without HB i have like 7.1k hp with hb like 12k hp
so ill die right when PB spawns?(if i ever get to pb although the lvl is too low for him)

Nah, you won't die when it spawns. If the run goes well, you'd be able to survive all the damage up to phase 5.

I think that's the only place you could possibly put him. If you move it right any more, the Melee would have no way of dodging the Treble Cleffs, aside from jumping into Pink Bean (similar to jumping into Zakum to avoid stun). But I guess that's better than the alternative. Still, it seems that you should just... not die. It would be too dangerous to move the range any farther right.

The above is all including hyperbody.

so do you mean WITH HB i would need to be able to survive a Tengu magic attack, or do u mean BEFORE HB, srry but this 1 question prety much answers if i can PB at all on my corsair cause i havent HP washed and if i want to PB i need to start Washing NOW but if its being able to survive Tengu's attacks WITHOUT HB then the ammount i need to wash is quite a bit but still doable (need to add like 15 lvls of Int) + int gear then reset back to Dex in my 19X's which would be kinda costly...

Well, the main issue is keeping ranged from having to get hit by the lasers. And I think asking attackers to duck every laser/seduce, allcure on 1/1, watch the DR timer, and not die at all while attacking for around 30 minutes straight is a bit much, all assuming PB can be pinned perfectly in a small space and kept facing right the entire time. Here's what happens with the laser attack when PB was pinned the way I suggested:

As you can see, there's pretty much no way to avoid the laser cluster right on top of the spawn point other than really pushing it with the limits of the bounds in which PB must be pinned in, which is a huge risk. I also included the right lasers to show there's no way to have melee avoid being laser'd, though it can also be avoided by the too-risky method above, except to the right instead of left.

With hyperbody, thought it was pretty clear O.o
Errr, in case that wasn't clear enough, that means 5-5.5k ish hp before hyperbody.

Okay lol, thanks, i dunno.. before TT came out people were tellin me like 13K hp with HB so i heard you saying ~ 8K or w/e and i was wondering if what i was hearing for a ranged attacker back then was same as what you means but without HB but not Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin:Big GrinD yya for not needing to wash as much Big Grin

Would it be practical for Bowmen to jump down and duck under a symbol like the farthest left one? Currently, it sounds like Bowmen have to pray that they don't get nuked to oblivion.

PB's genesis attack doesn't have a warning symbol.

You may do that for the musical attack though.

As I understand it so far, there's two things Bowmen should pray not to get nuked by: Ariel, PB's Big Bang attack. Those two do 13k/19k damage respectively.

For phase 5, I think that ranged should stay at the far left trying to finish Huigun while melee can take on Ariel. That's the only way they can tell where the ~12k would hit with the indicator. They can take their chances with avoid and fake but I think it would be better for them to stay put and then help out after Huigun is down. Once Ariel is close to being finished, ranged attack from the right platform and once pb is out, it immediately gets rushed to the right? Then you'll have to hope you have over over 20minutes left to take on pb and play with avoiding its genesis Eek

In Windia's recent run, it was just mess around during the last minutes.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only way to avoid those that I could find. I put a screenshot of myself having just climbed a ladder over where a ranged attacker would be if he/she was attacking ariel, and you can easily see the area warnings for the attack with minimized chatbox. NLs and corsairs would FJ/recoil into the wall, archers have to double jump down and duck.

Let's say for arguments sake that I have a ranged character that can take a 19k hit after HB, is there much of a risk of me dying from attacks from PB? Obviously status elements and the like pose a risk, but I am talking strictly in terms of taking damage.

Yup.

1.) Pink Bean hugs you. Game over!

With status afflicts...

2.) Seduce + Zombify is likely to get you killed if you don't have Hero's Will ready.

And in case you're not perfect...

3.) Stun. This can lead to lots of other nasty stuff. I'll leave that up to your imagination =)
4.) Damage Reflect does average of 10k. You hit PB twice with it on without potting, you're pretty much dead.

Cyanne, it might be helpful to put the exact HP needed in all circumstances rather than "enough to survive Anego," and the like. Most people will know what those are, but hard numbers are easier to keep track of. You'll take care of a lot of questions because the numbers will speak for themselves.

The exact damage monsters do is hard to tell because we don't know the formulas (or if someone does, they're holding out on us). I mean, we can say that a Slime does 14 damage maximum, based on the estimation of watk^2/125, but this clearly hasn't been the case for various people. They actually do 60-ish damage to me when I go around completely stripped. And for a lvl 1 beginner, I'd imagine it would do 20 damage or something.

EDIT: Okay nvm about not knowing the exact damage formula. But the point remains that max damage is different for everyone.

The damage formula got cracked, there's a thread in the Hunting Dungeon that can calculate exact amounts.

we didnt think about bombing PB :f6:

what about we get 3 shadower with max SS and 2 or 3 pirate. Rush PB to right wall, shadower use SS, drop money, since 3 shadower, you have 3 min of SS, pirate use TL, u got another 3min of SS, make the pirate leave party, add another pirate to party, u got another 3min of SS, 9min to bomb PB.

but i don't know if it will be enough DPS to actually do a good amount of dmg :f6:

Who the fk wants to spend 2 billion mesos or w/e bombing it to death Tongue

Not to mention that only worked at Zekus because Priests were there to HEAL, and PB has a skill called ZOMBIFY (not an attack, a skill) that totally destroys that strategy. I do not trust that 1 minute window where PB can pound on you with impunity.

I think Shadowers may need to wash a little to survive, too. 17k damage? Unless they want to spam BStep except when Smoke goes up.

1 we have meso gaurd that make all attacks to 1/2 the normal so we are good.

SS blocks all but 1/1 and stun and seduce and dispel

even with zombify on you in ss only thing you need to worry about is seduce. all attacks beside zombify seduce stun 1/1 and dispell get you.

WHO would not bragain rights saying " I KILL THE FIRST PINK BEAN LEGIT EVER! "

The Assassinate/BS combo outdamages ME anyways, so it really is not practical in use. The only area for bombing I can see is at the very start of the fight, where 3 Shads could drop beforehand and take out about 50mil HP or so. Still not enough damage to make a difference though.

Unless you specifically had this in mind AT PB himself, because damage is halfed, then this could be possible :f6:

yes i mean PB himself, ME ignore def right?

and PB does not seduce, it only seduce if u get hit by the musical note right? SS can protect you from seduce, since you are under protection of SS, you wont need heal, and 1/1 only takes half of shadower HP, since they are droping mesos w/o DS, they can pot themselves. i guess it would work, since we got a 200k dmg cap

if the shadower are under SS protection, they wont get hit right? :f6:

you ever saw how big is the maxed SS? and how zombify will destroy the strategy? since shadowers aren't getting hit, they wont need to pot :f6:

Ok... wow... I'm going with Pink Bean is the in-game alliteration of Nexon's evil. They have created a monster that so far seems the BEST strategy is to keep it locked in a small, few pixel defined area, where you have to duck randomly IF you happen to see the attack start and IF you can react before it hits. Not to mention that if he turns around for one second, he can kill EVERYONE in the ranged party. And it gets to look like a Wigglytuff on top of all of that.

Btw, with concern to SS, does that mean you could place an SS mule in the middle of the warriors to keep them from dying too?
