Bizarre Monster Book Error

TKWizard, may I ask what JMS did to compensate the players that were affected? I know this may not reflect what Nexon America would do for GMS, but I'm just wondering.

OK. I looted a TT card, the first monster you find, that green masked weirdo without freaks following him, and...

HOWEVER! it seems to me they follow a small pattern... Like in the order you have them or something. It's weird. My guess is that this can be reversed easily when the way the server recognizes your cards gets fixed back. They don't really seem to match with the new cards.

EDIT: What I mean is that no cards were removed: The total still remains, the weird thing is just that it displays on a different order. I stand for the storage data for cards not being updated on the servers.

Probably, the order that the cards are displayed in the book doesn't match the order they're stored or something like that, so when the game gets your monster book info from the server it puts the TT cards in the wrong place, shifting everything else around too.

Maybe it'll go to a different spot until you have the true 5th one on leviathan, and you even see it works or not. Tricky one. Or maybe the client discards it as you already have 5 client-wise.

I've been having great luck at the Time Temple with cards. Every time I get a new one, it messes up my monster book all over again. My boss page is completely different from what I posted at first.

I wouldn't know. My guess (according to what I said above) would be that it adds 1 to wherever Leviathan got shifted too. Or, it thinks the card is whatever got shifted to Leviathan (the 5/5) and doesn't add it. Personally I wouldn't try to find out.

I guess this helps to prove my theory... I hope they fix it easily. And if it does get fixed that easily, it'll still be fun to see monster descritions of the ones you only have 1 of

Wow this better be fixed. All those PQ bosses I completed through the event are now moved to things like Pianus and Stumpy.

Is it possible for this to be fixed without losing the cards we've picked up since the patch? My book has maybe 30 different cards in total in it (yeah, I fail. ) but I was planning on starting up some serious card hunting this patch. I've gotten a few non-TT cards today and my book was fine until I looted a Memory Monk card. Now my purple, black, and gold tabs are shifted and I'm afraid to loot any more cards whether they're from TT or not. Any ideas if cards lower lvled than Elin Forest and TT will be effected if and when Nexon decides to fix this or are they still safe to loot without pineappling up my book further?

i was doing the time temple quests today and looted a blue monk card and thens suddenly had 5/5 of those cards in my monsterbook.. so yea.. its not some patch screwup, there is actually something wrong with the counting

but ID of Mossy Snail is 02382076

3 id numbers aren't in use, and that why everything cards after light green tab were moved. In my opinion of course

And when you add in the Time Temple mobs, their IDs go between existing ones and screw with it, since for some reason it's not expecting those IDs I guess..

I was thinking something along the lines of this too. If look closely I think the new cards have essentially "pushed" cards down into later cards in the monsterbook.

Look again closely at my picture at the number of cards between the medals, they are same in the first picture and in the second. King Slime cards moved exactly 6 monstercards over, same for the other boss cards. But this count only goes for cards you have, it doesn't count the spaces for cards that are blank.

I think my red wyvern card #2 got moved into Timer, my King Slime moved into Dyle, Alishar moved into Tae Roon, Lord Pirate moved to Manon, Papa Pixie moved to Griffey, Frakenroid moved to Jr. Balrog, Crimson Balrog moved to Seruf. Cards that have only one card gotten in your book aren't technically effected because they can't move one card, they can only move card #2,#3,#4, and #5 of a card.
