[GMS] The Maple Mentor Program
#41
Say, for example, you were chosen. What would happen to your character? Would you have to start all over again in another world, or would you transfer your character to the other world?

Well, in order to participate you must have a character above level 70. So it's likely whichever server in which that character resides. If there are multiple characters on multiple servers over level 70, then I have no idea. Frown

Even if someone had 3 level 70 on 3 different servers, that is still 7 world he can go and do this "task"

Anyways i'm a lot less interested by this with that not in your world thing, it makes lots of sense for sure, but I don't think i'll spend massive time running around just to flag people. Making this for me like Tespia was for most people, something to mess around.

They would probably go by which character you chose as your main on the Nexon website maybe.

I was thinking if you have a level 70+ character on a world, then you can't "guide" on that world, so if you have level 70+ characters on Scania and Bera (for example), then you can still be a guide on any other world.

Then again, if you have one on every world on one account...you get to be cool and pick.

Time to push my 65 Page in Bera, in hopes of guiding Windia. : D

I'm thinking NX. It doesn't cost Nexon anything to do NX++; Then again, probably not.

They aren't implementing this yet, It's not even 100% defined yet. They could do many changes to it, as changing the "guiding any other server but yours", so lets wait.

Ah, reminds me of the time I got accused for hacking because I used Band of Thieves. According to the low level character that accused me, Bandits don't have mob skills.

Yup, I'm such a bad ass hacker that I sprite my own hacks. : D

Anyone that get's to be a "Guide" should know a lot about MS as to tell the difference between a hacker and a legit (at least I hope Frown)

Off topic: I demand Isaac applies for this Biggrin

I'm liking the way this sounds. Having them work outside their home server at least prevents some drama. Of course, there will likely be drama abound once this is implemented, but still.

Here's hoping a handful of fellow SouthPerrians get picked. Shine

Quote:Some of us remember when MapleStory was in Beta and then the first anniversary, the second, the third and now the fourth year anniversary is just around the corner. Then there are some of us that just heard about this world of MapleStory and decided to join us.

Sure MapleStory is a 2D side-scrolling massive multiplayer online role-playing game but those cute mushrooms may not be as friendly as they seem. That’s where the Maple Mentors come in. They are you-- top level players suggested by you, recruited by Nexon, to help beginners with questions and offer them tips to fully enjoy this wonderful world of MapleStory.

Let me me introduce to you your Maple Mentors; those decided to make your Maple experience as enjoyable as theirs. Below is a little introduction they wrote so please welcome our Maple Mentors to the forum community!

Kurai

Kurai started an online game called Maple Story when his friends introduced him to it. At first, he did not like it. As days went by, everything became so much more interesting. "KURAI!!!!!!!!111", everyone screeaaaaaaamedddd. "OMGGGGGGGG WOOOOOOOOWWWW KURAIIIIIIIII??? OMGGGGG O.O..... wth LOL!11", everyone shrieked/moaned... They treated him like he was like an aquarium sea creature (..or a MapleStory celebrity) that they have not feasted their eyes yet upon in their life-time before. But! He did not always spend his entire time training because he did not care if he was famous or not. He met many friends along his journey and chilled with them as their bonds grew stronger. He just wanted to have fun on MapleStory! After all, aren't games meant for fun? Wink

AngelWingsAB

AngelWingsAB is a Level 200 Bishop and 1st gen Mapler from Bera. Her credits include Top 20 GMS, Top 10 Bera and her own NPC in Elliana. She has a passion for new challenges in MS, leading events and helping her friends along the way. It's with pride and honor she accepts the new title of Maple Mentor and promises to do her best to serve you.

Dylanlan

Dylanlan was once a low lvl assassin in Maplestory. Through time and dedication, he grew to become one of the highest lvled Nightlords. He still trains from time to time, and spends his days helping new players out with questions and advice.

Zimlicious

Zim was the first level 200 in Kradia on MapleStory. He helped the server grow by MTS merchanting, organizing boss runs and getting people together as a community that trusts each other. In his free time, he enjoys reading the forums and occasionally gives advice to other players.

Feel free to post your questions about MapleStory on this thread and the Maple Mentors will do their best to help you. Even if you don’t post your question here they may find you and help you anyways! Who better than to answer your questions than the top level players!?

Ugh, a bunch of lv 200s mostly. So the thought here is that level = better at finding hackers? And 5 people isn't really going to change anything - I'm hoping like hell there will be more.
