What program are you guys using for VPN? I'm using Windows 7 no proxies or anything. I go to the app folder and just run the dragon nest executable directly. The hackshield runs and then the screen turns black for a good while and a message appears in game that I can't seem to take a screen shot of. After that, I have to hit what seems to be an okay button and the game closes.

If I go to the website I get some country validation alert page. =_=. How do I work around that? I tried Proxifier but that failed.

Hi guys; i finally patched up to OBT ^_^ took a while but i will be playing possibly tomorrow? iono i have finals coming up. my friend however is getting error 922 on the patcher... and it's all in question marks, so we don't know what it's saying ><" has anyone else had this problem?

he didn't patch since CBT so that might be the problem?

its just the error message that pops up AFTER we click it, which says since we are connecting to the internet outside of japan we cannot continue, is blocking many of us.

most of us already have location, unicode, language, and keyboard, as well as even time, set to japanese/japan.

How are you guys even able to get to the start button?

i have japanese unicode and time/date settings set to japanese. also have installed eastern languages.

im using X32 bit internet explorer (not x64 that wont allow flash) with the VPN client.

also, i have flash installed. i am on windows 7.

even if you get to the start button you're gonna get smacked down by that error message saying you're a goddamn gaijin. *sigh*

i can even get to the gamestart button with firefox. just make sure you have flash installed. if you already do, then I have no idea whats wrong with your computer.

I'm stuck at the VPN client part. I'm a little ignorant in that area so would mind elaborating a bit? Thanks in advance sir.

EDIT: Okay, I was reading each page of the thread a little too slowly. I found the website someone made and the guide is on their forums. I see that you've also posted there and some of you are discussing the issue you're having with the start button despite the VPN client (as you said here).

SIDENOTE:I remember having problems when I was playing Survival Project (KR) and I needed to use some program called System Locale or something like that. Does anyone have knowledge of that program and whether it would be of any use? People used it because at one point, the game client was checking to see if the user was in Korea (or that's my understanding).

@deldelight I think it's just that the Ie6 message has higher priority than the jap error one

I think i've narrowed down the problem to this:

we need japanese internet explorer 8. this is a very simple thing to do for windows xp users, or vista users, since you can google for japanese internet explorer 8.

however windows 7 users automatically have internet explorer 8 isntalled on their computers, and they cannot change it's MUI. trying to install xp japanese IE8 or vista japanese IE8 doesnt work either, the installer wont run. i realized that this was the problem since i would get the, "using internet outside of japan to connect to this website" error on firefox, on the ENGLISH version of firefox, however when i downloaded the japanese version of firefox, and then tried to click the gamestart button, i wouldn't get that "outside of japan" error, i'd only get the "use IE6 error"

so now i humbly request shikage or phantasm to upload their entire internet explorer program files folder to megaupload/mediafire.

Nice work hopefully this is the fix we need.

I'm thinking the only other solution for win7 users is to system wipe and install XP or get enterprise to install japanese MUI, for the japanese internet explorer 8 MUI files.
