JoeTang Wrote:What the pineapple type of premise is that for Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge though? That sounds so bad, I have to see episode 1.
The most important thing of Spring 2013 though is the EVANGELION 3.0 BLURAY
It's based off a manga, so if you want to see now, the first several chapters are scanlated, conveniently that's one I'm doing with my group. It's actually a fairly decent series, contrary to what its description would leave you to believe. MC definitely has a massive hair fetish though.
Salguod Wrote:Animated Sisters Arc, yes! Steins;gate movie. What happened to Kizumonogatari though?
It was never said what season Kizu would air in. Much less a specified year, as far as I know... The second season of the Monogatari series starts in the summer, though.

Psycho-Pass 19:
That's a big-ass cliffhanger. Like, Starr Jones is about to into the Grand Canyon big-ass cliffhanger. Doesn't seem quite as QUALITY this week. That's good.
ESP Is Suffering 8:
That was so out of the blue that I'm actually kind of irritated. Side note: Imagine a world where the clothing on characters looked as good as it did on those mannequins all the time. I can dream.
For The Love Of Zeus, Why Am I Still Watching This? 8: "Prepare for a full-body scan". Brace yourself. It's high-octane, crippled hospital fanservice time. There was like... one ass-shot in this episode. And without the fanservice, there is no humor. And without the humor, there's just this negligently cliched plot and these crushingly flat, unoriginal characters. I never thought I'd be sad to be watching a show that lacked fanservice. WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!?!?!?
It really boggles my mind what I can and can't suspend my disbelief for. But ever since I finished my EE degree, some things are just hard to tolerate when the setting is in a mildly realistic time and location. "The Pallet Suit isn't built like normal electronics, so EMI doesn't harm it"? I can't let that go just because you say so! Is it a biological system? Have you perfected the nanomaterial invisibility cloak, so we can't see the metric pineappleton of metal surrounding each girl, shielding the electronics on the suit? Have you made some crazy-ass carbon nanotube circuitry or some other combination of buzzwords that make no sense but at least pass as an excuse for an engineering/scientific explanation? WHY AM I FRUSTRATED BY THIS?!?! IT MUST BE BECAUSE THERE WAS ONLY ONE GODDAMN ASS-SHOT FOR ME TO MAKE FUN OF, AND IT WASN'T EVEN A GOOD ONE. HOW THE pineapple COULD WE GET TO THE SCIENTIFIC AND ENGINEERING CAPACITY TO CREATE A SINGLE POWER GENERATION SOURCE CAPABLE OF SUPPLYING THE WHOLE WORLD AND NOT BUILD REDUNDANT pineappleING SYSTEMS? HOW pineappleING HARD IS IT TO PUT ONE ON EACH CONTINENT? SURELY THEY COST LESS THAN A DEATH STAR!
Man, pineapple my degree. Makes it hard to enjoy pomegranatety POWER OF FRIENDSHIP shows. Please wash away my pain, episode of Robotics;Notes that has already been spoiled for me by VN readers. *sniffle* Oh good, the spoiler was cleared in the first 30 seconds.
Robotics 19:
And lo, it was good.
Spoiler
It's hard to watch Aki's dreams get crushed so repeatedly in this show. Noticed that Yashio's Kill-Ballad opponent was STEINGMA. Portmanteau of Stein and enigma, or am I missing something?
And Nae. NAEEEEEE!
Best twist of any show this season. Nae's a total badass.
Edit: Oh my god, I fucking love anime fans/reddit. They make me laugh. I posted this portion of my Vividred reponse, "There was like... one ass-shot in this episode. [...] WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!?!?!?" to the reddit discussion thread. And some guy downvotes me because "There were at least two...". I ain't even mad. Best laugh I've had all day.
Maouuuuu 9:
That was possibly the best fictional speech I've ever seen. I was almost upset at how long it ran on, but it kept bringing up feels and "TRUCK YEAHS", and I couldn't stay made. That was some hype speech-making. I AM HUMAN. Very exciting episode. Well done.
Problem Children 10:
HOW IS THIS ENDING IN 2 EPISODES? pineapple. Shiroyasha/Izayoi best ero-duo. Period. I know the DVDs/BRs aren't doing well, but it's my understanding the LN has seen quite a sale spike due to the anime, and I hope that warrants another cour or some OVAs.
Shin Sekai whatever we're on:
Spoiler
At first I thought Kiroumaru would be the tool they use to beat the fiend. He doesn't have death feedback, so he could do it. But by the end of the episode, I was thinking he's just another well-placed tool for Squealer. Psychobuster sounds like a cop-out, so I hope that path dead-ends.

It's at ep 8 right now, not 10. Just occurred to me that Asuka's "Authority" could allow her to use that huge golem created by the Rattenfanger community. The OP and this episode's next episode preview even show that golem, with the latter having it pop up along with Asuka to cheer on a rape-face Izayoi.
The Big Sis Maid's speech in Maoyuu actually almost made me feel a little emotional. I have no idea why.

Brain fart on the episode count. It seemed to me the golem was being instructed to stop rape-face Izayoi. That kid does not need encouragement.
Maoyuu episode 9: A very exciting episode, not a lot happened but what did was just amazing. It looks like the story is really picking up in pace after a rather slow beginning, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
The bit after the credits confused me though.. "She" has... done all of this before and torn the world asunder? It showed "her" touching the faces of every Hero from the past and made it seem like "she" was the Demon King. What on earth is going on there?
Vividred episode 8: Pretty interesting episode, it was awesome to see the characters work together and solve a problem without the "docking" thing saving the day every time. The characters got pretty roughed up in this episode too, which makes me think that the fights are going to be a bit more dangerous from now on and not just solved with one attack. The next few episodes are likely to be very interesting.
I know it was a "power of friendship" like episode, but I think it was handled quite well and had a slightly more interesting spin on it, as well as giving the other 3 girls some of the spotlight.
Magi 21: I'm so glad they had Hakuryuu break down before having the typical shounen come-to-Jesus. Very funny.
Ixion Saga DT 21: So glad I waited for Commie subs so I could get the new ED translated. It's glorious. Better than the first ED, I think.
I also finally found a video of the subbed ED1: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/9518888/ixion_dt_outro/
Now everyone can enjoy the testicle humor! (Guy with spiky white hair lost both his testicles within the first few episodes)

Vividred 10 - BUY OUR BLU-RAYS! SEE MORE ASS!
Kotoura 10 - GO DOWN THIS STREET! DON'T GO DOWN THIS STREET!
Both of these shows... so boring now. Want to drop... only 2 episodes left. @_@ Animu problems.
Robotics 21 - Mighty satisfying confession. Kai got really alpha. But suddenly, "DIE NORMALpapayaS!" Liberal fansubs are the best.
Psycho-Pass 21 - The coloration of Makishima and Kougami struck me as they started fighting. The antagonist is the man in white and the protagonist is in black. Although, from Makishima's perspective, he's a hero. And Kougami accepts that he has to play the villain and murder that wanker. Some quality Casablanca pomegranate right there.
Mondaijitachi 10 - Live fast. Die young. A fun show with a killer ED. It will be missed. I'd also like my own giant robot Pokemon. DEEEEN. DEEEEEEN.
Girls und Panzer 11: What an amazing episode. The production quality really stands out, and you can tell they put a lot of work into it over the past couple of months. Given how the quality ended up dropping in the final episodes before the hiatus, this was well worth the time, and the episode was very well produced. There were a lot of really great panning shots, and dynamic background, and the attention to detail for every tank was very good, except for one pan I saw when they showed Panthers in formation next to a Tiger. I really missed this show. Miho sure can jump though.
Spoiler
I was surprised the Hetzer didn't take the time to eliminate the JagdPanther completely when it tracked them, or eliminate any of the tanks when they snuck into their formation. I guess it doesn't actually have the firepower to do it in one shot, since it didn't kill the Panther in one hit, but it's still better than doing nothing, and it can no doubt penetrate the rear of any of their tanks. It was nice to see a JagdTiger walk in and lead the charge, but honestly, it could most likely have just sat there and been able to take out any of the targets at the top. When the Maus showed up in the city, I almost lost it. Just seeing it splatter two people so immediately was fantastic, the animation and direction in that sequence was really well done, especially with the gun hitting the wall (which is horrible by the way).
Looking forward to next week =] I really really really hope this show gets a sequel.
Mondaijitachi ga Iseikai kara Kuru Sou Desu Yo?: Overall, I found this to be a very good show; however, it lacked some background over the characters, especially Izayoi. I'm guessing they're hoping for a second season to be able to explain it, and I hope they get it. It was quite an enjoyable season. I'm sad that delicious Pest had to die =[ Also, You had very little action overall in the last couple of episodes, which disappointed me. The final fight was quite well done though.
Boku no Imouto wa Osaka Okan: I enjoyed this almost soley to hear Asumi Kana's voice over and over again. It's so amazing. Gags were meh. Random stereotypes that probably wouldn't be and shouldn't be understood by non-Japanese. I wouldn't recommend this unless you really like Asumi Kana or bad gags.

You is the weakest of the three by far, right now. Her potential is around the other two's, though.
Spoiler
Izayoi's power is mentioned later as being...star breaker or something...class even before he gets his first real powerup (basically, his innate, base power level is on par with a circle 4-6 resident, Shiroyasha is from circle 3 AND is a Demon Lord from there, though, so she could take him without breaking a sweat as he is currently in the anime), his (main) ability is that he hits at the velocity required for an object to escape the gravitational pull of Earth and the Sun and escape the solar system (third cosmic velocity).
Asuka's power is shown in the final episode; she doesn't just have control over things, she has control over the underlying idea of things; she can bring out the absolute potential of something, which is why Kurousagi gave her the lance. The reason she isn't as useful in earlier episodes is because she was using her power incorrectly; it is meant to modify something else, not her own abilities. She can quite literally command an ordinary weapon to become extraordinary and it will; she's a support mage.
You only has one legendary creature "befriended" right now, which is why she isn't as strong as the others, but her ability allows her to befriend a limitless number of them and stack their abilities passively with her own; technically, she can become the strongest of the three, or at least on par with Izayoi at his maximum potential, if she can manage to gain the trust of a few top tier god-entities, like a creature Demon Lord, or a phoenix or dragon or something.
