I think what he means is that you no longer need to do the quests for the skills at 4th Job. You get all the skills(not just 3 like it is now) once you advance

I do not think you get the skills that you need skillbooks for though, but I might be misstaken. As I understood it they just took out the 2 or 3 skills that you had to do a quest for pre BB.

So new aran are a tad out of luck seeing as how FOUR of their skills come from zak xD

Dunno exactly how it works. I got all my shadower skills, however my Evan friend still needed to run Zak for Flame Wheel.

Shadowers never did have to zak for skills. The only skillbook they needed was for Taunt, and that came from "Protect Tylus for power stance", that warrior quest in El Nath. If you got Taunt from the start I'm happy they finally did away with the so called El Nath PQ requirement, because it never made sense for others besides warriors.

It was an innovative way to get new skills at the time, but then as more people started doing tand finishing the quest, it was near impossible to find a warrior.

Illusion and Blaze were changed. There were a few other changes after Mechanic came out. Buffed them up a little more.

I'm not going to put buccaneers on par with warriors until i see an actually GOOD buccaneer fight seriously. Any buccaneer who does the following...

1) Barely attacks when out of transform. Just because the cooldown is 20 seconds doesn't mean you can get away with not doing anything.
2) Doesn't use CSB to get around easier. When he was at the bottom right arms he could have used it to get past the attacks without getting hit as much.
3) Gets smacked around for no reason.
4) KILLS SUMMONS AT MAIN BODY. (except those boogies, since they stun for like 8 seconds AND push you into the body)
5) Doesn't tank damage despite having 17k base HP to activate counter attack again.

Does not deserve to be called a decent buccaneer. All of these are things that were exhibited in this video.
