Boss Battles Thread

No screenshot, but my guild (and a few friends) have regularly started to go to Chaos Pink bean.
Last run we finished with 23 minutes left. Not too bad if I do say so myself ^-^
We're gonna be attempting even faster runs in the near future.

I think I'll attempt soloing cht again after the next maintenance and see how that goes for me.

Also, a bit unrelated but, my lovely [MENTION=10002]inSAMMIty[/MENTION]; has joined Chrono, which is awesome.

Sweet! CPB is likely out for me except as a Dispel + AB mule but I'll be trying out Czak, HT, CHTP and regular PB runs when I'm done scrolling up a nice new cane. I've got to say though, I really did pick the most fun class ever as I couldn't join any kind of run without such a useful character and still do a decent amount of damage.

Mmmh. I don't know how common active, high level bishops are in your world, but I know at least for our runs, they prefer bishops to be spamming dispel on the statues, and have everyone else attacking; and everyone attacks the bodies, bishops included. All damage is wanted! The more people on the run the better! It's still fun, regardless :3

I have a 191 Phantom and I agree that it is a fun class. I only have about 60k buffed on it, so I'm pretty weak in comparison to my friends that have mained it..that, and I'm not too comfortable bossing on it yet.

Mmmh. I have a 191 Phantom and I agree that it is a fun class. I only have about 60k buffed on it, so I'm pretty weak in comparison to my friends that have mained it..that, and I'm not too comfortable bossing on it yet.

They're...mostly extinct and my group can't afford to have a Bishop with less range either because I'm doing triple duty as a buffer, backup crasher and DPSer/healer and my friend helps out with dispelling sometimes. It actually works out better for me if we have fewer people because I'm only using a medium-end laptop to play and it runs smoothly, plus our regular timeslot is so late that most people are asleep.

It's really too bad that Impeccable Memory has a cooldown because a Phantom with lesser range could still provide tons of utility by cycling through skills. Since you have a Bishop you'll be much more handy than Phantoms are currently unless your group has a Bishop and needs a different buff like HB/SE. It's worth a whirl though if you're interested, I still think anyone really looking to enjoy the best of everything without spending too much can do no better than a Phantom!

P/s: My range is only 75k. T_T I estimate I'll be at about 78k by the time I'm at level 200 which is when I'll be aiming for party runs to help me gain some more experience. I also thought initially that I'd make my Bishop my sub-main but that went out the window once I realized I'd still be paying too much for equips to keep anything other than one main.

Do you dc often? I know since kaisers have been around with their hyperskills, I dc constantly at higher bosses like cht and cpb. Recently i went to the game settings and set the skill effects on the lowest (but graphics being high), and haven't had boss dcing issues since, so you may want to play around with that.

I agree! That is one thing that irks me when I'm training my phantom and people ask me to switch buffs, and they forgot that there's a cooldown between them and get angry at me for not buffing right away

My group is constantly in need of Phantoms for stealing dr, mostly; that, and demonslayers to bind/angelic busters for their orb skill. Surprisingly the guild has a good amount of warriors so usually crashing/hb isn't an issue. Me and another bishop are pretty much their preference when it comes to runs just due to the fact that we know the order of things/vent info/etc.

That is not a bad range. My range would be like, 20-30k if I hadn't psok'd my boyfriends cane and hat over. Not to mention, I do believe % luk is still the highest in demand? Maybe not, but I know it's anything but cheap ;-; I really don't understand how people can fund more than one main to be godly. I can't. Maybe that's why I don't like playing any other class. I've built up my bishop, and don't want to start building up something else haha.

You and everyone else would probably choke on something if you saw the kind of prices we have for equips, I kid you not when I say one month's salary might not even get one premium item . That's why I've been buying the old equips people had dirt cheap since I plan to only continue cubing my Witch Belt or pendant before I quit cubing and only spend money on permanent equips as I know perfecting a good weapon would be beyond what I'm willing to fork out. LUK% equips are indeed always in demand due to the overall popularity of the classes and as even INT% items can cost a bomb here I'd rather keep my spending low to fund only my Phantom (Nexon had better do something about that nerf or I will chant curses).

Like you, I've lost interest in playing other classes because of what my class is capable of even without massive funding and it's doubly impressive that you're still keeping a Bishop since most have likely stopped playing theirs. I still do wish I could make my Bishop a sub-main but unless Asiasoft drastically alters cash shop prices and stop nerfing contents that is never going to happen.

Bossing lessons learned the hard way, MSEA edition:

1) When your guest star this round is the Demon Slayer with the highest STR total of anyone in MSEA, don't immediately think things will be just fine even if the same guy that went to sleep the last time did the same thing again. Particularly, you will learn to exercise caution in being excited when this run eats up both of the WoFs you saved from the last round due to human- er, demon and human errors.

2) Waiting for people who need their sleep is an exercise in frustration.

3) You will hate damage reflect a lot when you have the lowest HP.

4) You will also hate random DCs.

5) Drinking three cups of coffee is a bad idea because you will wreck your sleep completely.

We got 7 equips on the first round, went in again for laughs to see if we could time Mikhail's DR and our Dual Blade randomly disconnected when he hasn't done so in ages so we decided to leave.

Now that you mention it why did the DS die then, unless he was the one that triggered the Empress' reflect? :f6: He told us about the reflect's duration but we wanted notes for ourselves so that we could bunch all the KoCs together next time instead of separating Mikhail and leaving him to the DB.

He's right. Strictly speaking if you're pressed for time, don't separate Mikhail and leave it to the DB.

My friend and I have both tried doing that versus bunching them all together and having a Phantom crash before his first DR. It was a big time killer when Mikhail got separated. Killing them all at once while being careful with the first DR + the Phantom knowing when to crash each time shaves off a few minutes for us.

I was under the impression the drop tables in Codex were dynamic and changed with the server.

I don't remember which thread it is, but I remember a discussion in regards to there being no fans at all in the codex and that monsters still have records for dropping items for events that were months ago and long gone. I'll edit with the thread if I can find it.

They mention that the cards don't have information for what drops what fans/scrolls, but they do indeed drop, which results in the conclusion that the cards are not updated.

Finally solo'd Von Leon and got the card.
