It wouldn't matter except against immunes because they could just Reset their element.

Do those calculations factor in EWands? If they don't, I'm pretty sure Blaze would come out on top, followed by Paralyze ahead of Illusion.

Blaze has Fire element. That would theoretically make it more effective in an elemental situation.
Do we know for sure that the passives add to Basic Attack and not Magic Attack?

I'm sure we're going to see a lot of these values changing eventually but it's still pretty LOL to see this since so many people (RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK) were going OMG MAGES R GUNNA B OBSOLETE THANKS NEXON

question: does magic shield reduction thingy reduce 1/1 effect? meaning it only reduces 70% of ur mp and hp?

Illusion is weak and this job sucks. lololololol 기본 공격력 = Basic Attack 향상 = "Horse Power" according to Google Translate which is synonymous with Magic Attack from other skill descriptions. For reference: Soul Dragon 마스터 레벨 : 20] 드래곤의 영혼을 강화시켜 마력을 향상시킨다. Zendaine Wrote:1/1 takes me down to 1 hp with Meso Guard on. Uh, what? It doesn't for me. I go to 50% HP and 1 MP when I get 1/1'd by Pianus or Zakum. I am 99% positive with this; the 1% is just from you saying otherwise. 66alex66 Wrote:also youre asked to kill because you have 2x drop and for it to work you have to solo the last part of HT *I know this was a few pages back* Actually, that's a Party 2x buff, so anyone in the party would technically need to deliver the final hit + have been in the group that did the most combined damage in order for the 2x drop to go into effect. Because I had single-handedly dealt nearly half HP damage to that arm during the run (done in a different party than the one I joined, too), I was asked to join the bigDPS party and finish it. tl;dr: Combined damage dealt is the determining factor for 2x drop, and considering that's a party buff it doesn't even matter provided the person who dealt the most (me) finishes the arm. JoeTang Wrote:Illusion with Passives is 120 + 20 + 15 = 155 BA x 4, giving it 255 BA/s. Keep in mind F/Ps have 140% Amp and can use SE as well (I think you just included the Amp part in your Paralyze calculations). While this won't change things too much, Paralyze + Ewand 6 calculations do: 210 * 1.4 * 1.25 = 367.5 / 0.81 = 453 BA/s. Throw in SE, and the number increases to 526 BA/s, if my calculations are correct. Oh, and Poison-weak on top of all that? How does 788 BA/s sound, again assuming my calculations are correct? Plus, the critical rates are different for MageSE + ArcherSE, so lord knows how complicated calculations get with those - case in point, however, is that with different rates Illusion DPS will be smaller. However, using your data one can see that MageZerk + MageSE + ArcherSE + Amp would definitely have a greater effect on Illusion's DPS, as the final multiplier of 4 for the number of hits allows for a greater number of chances for the 140% damage to kick in (as is obvious and was stated by Paul earlier). I don't know if you fully incorporated the "per hit" aspect when doing SE calculations, but it still might bump it up. That being said, in elementally-advantageous situations, Paralyze pretty much trumps everything. Takebacker Wrote:Does illusion have an element? If it's neutral that in itself is a strength. It is neutral, but as Joe said, with Elemental Reset it doesn't matter. And of course it's not the best strength, as Blaze, etc. will get more power from Ewands; giving Illusion an element would be of benefit. Bribery Wrote:Do those calculations factor in EWands? I don't think anyone has factored in EWand bonuses yet, which will definitely affect rankings as you said. But here's a question I don't know since I've never played a Blaze Wizard: is an EWand elemental boost still in effect after using a skill such as Elemental Reset? If the weapons work in accordance to the "current element of the skill," and not the "permanent/original element," then the effect of Blaze + Ewand5 + Element Reset on a Fire-resistant/immune boss would make for an interesting comparison with Paralyze + Ewand6 on the same boss, assuming it's not Poison-resistant/immune. P.S.: Paul, I know you downplayed the +50 MATK addition from Onix's Blessing, but with critical multipliers in place that does have a decently substantial effect on a Magician's DPS. Considering the skill most likely stacks with an ArchMages' Meditate as well, the additional buff power will change damages, just not as much as multipliers.

You can use Fire Strike with a Ele Wand 1 and Ele Reset, and it'll still do boosted damage.

Like buffs never stack unless the skill description says so. So with Onix and Meditation, you either get the 20 from Meditate or 50 from Onix, but never the two added together. You have to include the extremely restrictive cooldown on Onix, though, which only allows your buff to be in place for 1 out of every 4 seconds. That reduces the actual buff to about 12.5 MATK over four minutes. This skill shouldn't even have a cooldown considering it's a 10th mastery skill.

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum, and I decided I would speak up on something I noticed, I was one of the people who was like OMG <3 EVANS. And so I have been keeping up with this thread to the best of my ability...
Therefore, things I'd like to point out; - Not one Evan in any of those videos has hit a SINGLE crit... all of there damage has been around the same number, so assuming that the crit doesn't even show up as the big red number (which is Ludicrous) none of the yellow numbers have been crits. And also, crit magic, according to the list is 6th mastery, so I'm fairly sure the 1xx Evans would have it max. - There is a possibility that there is no way to get the skills yet, for the 10th Mastery of the dragon, like maybe nothing drops the story books or the quests cannot be completed yet, instead of the level being wrong. - There is something wrong here, I just can't figure out what, here's my dilemma; I'm an Ice/Light Arch Mage, and my chain lightning isn't max yet (long story) so anyways, its 25, and I am a REALLY high luk mage, 110 base, so at 152, my magic attack is 1006, and I do a max damage of maybe 17k? on regular mobs with chain lightning... and that is with an ice wand. So that 17k comes from a base 170(230) of the skill, plus a 10% bonus from the ice wand... and I hit maybe like 26k-ish on lightning weak mobs. So the Evan that's 125 in the blue wyverns vid, is using earthquake, and fire wheel, and he seems to be doing like 20k damage, which assuming their Amp is weaker, and assuming that both of those skills are max, 210 plus 20% is is 252 to each mob, which is STILL more than my base, and their not doing more damage than my chain lightning. They should be doing like 30k minimum on those wyverns, and Flame Wheel, if my chain lightning does 26k, lets assume at max i would do the same for this examples sake. CL = 180(243) but Flame Wheel = 300(360) base, thats like a third more damage, so if i used a lightning wand, and did +25% more damage (thats the correct percentage right?) 26 + 6.5k = 32.5k, with a fire wand, they would be doing 48k ish? (I know none of the vids have had a fire wand, but I'm just saying their damage output should be MUCH more, maybe they require a different distribution of AP?) THEREFORE the conclusion at this point for this, is that they seem to have max earthquake (but for some reason its damage is incorrect) but not max flame wheel. -Another Example- Flame Wheel in the 130 vid has too wide a range of damage for it to be max, so going back up to my second little pointing out of things, I don't think they have any of their skill books, or any of the quest skills yet. This means they would have level 10 of all of their 9th mastery skills, but couldn't make them go any higher than 10, and they can't get their 10th mastery yet for whatever unknown reason, (but this would be wrong at least in some aspect because Onix Blessing and Blaze are core skills if there are no mastery books for level 10, only 20/30 according to Fiel's extractions) But I am STILL assuming that those skills arent max, especially Flame wheel, as a matter of fact, what I would assume is that they got the level 10 book, quest or drop, however they got it, and they have the mastery passive, but the [20] and [30] books aren't available in whatever manner, and that the Flame Wheel that Evan is using is 230 base, which would give it similar damage to my Chain Lightning on an Evan 20 levels below me, but a wider range, 30% mastery + 10% from level 10 Magic Mastery, leaving the flame wheel at 230 base 40% mastery for an unknown reason... we just have to wait this out for now -Another thing I'm pointing out... Russt, in your list the Slow appears as a Misc. skill, in the 130 Evan vid, he self buffs with slow, or at least, im pretty sure thats what he does, and then once he damages the mobs they have a chance of being slowed, I think thats what the 30% chance is, its a passive self (OR PARTY? O.o ... nah its not) buff... -Yeah I just rewatched the vids, both the 125 at Skelegons and the 130 showcasing her skills at Newties self buff with slow.... -Just checked list... its even in Fiels description, "allows attacks to reduce your enemies speed for the duration" [of the skill.] Sorry if this isn't the clearest post ever... not the most organized writer.

Also, factoring in E wands, Blaze is definitely better than Illusion, so that is what should be compared to. More hits is not necessarily better damage with crits. That only holds for weapon classes because each hit gets +100% damage, which is the same for each skill. For a magic class, that 100% gets multiplied by Basic Attack, and Illusion has lower BA than Blaze. So Blaze wins out. |
