Congrats to MonkyMagic of Scania on FIRST LEVEL 200 F/P IN GMS!!

Cyanne Wrote:Congratulations to him... I think it's funny/sad how the top F/P was so far behind tons of other classes that are much harder to level to 200 xD

On that note, which classes other than pirates still haven't had a level 200 yet, if any?

I am pretty sure no BW Paladin has gotten to 200 yet. I heard no Marksman has, either.

There's just fewer F/Ps... that's probably why it took so long. Also I suspect, (but I don't know for sure,) that many people choose F/P because it's cheaper; lvl 30 Meteo was like 3 mil, last I checked; lvl 30 Gen or Bliz are much more. If that is the case, it can be reasoned that most of the F/Ps cannot afford 5 30 day 2x cards and endless Gach, like some other players could.

If you are one-hitting freeze does not matter.
That's true, but it's also true that the best training spot for someone who doesn't 1 hit is at newties, in which case you would just rely on Elquines to freeze for you. Also, the power should be the same, so the FP should be able to kill just as fast as IL given exactly the same conditions. The only difference is that the FP will take more damage if he's not one hitting, but that still doesn't affect your exp/hour ratio by much.

I know. We're all lazy asses. =)

I think Shadower, Marksman, and Beginner. Not sure, but should be, cuz I haven't heard of any Lv 200s of those classes yet.

Novazstory is a Shadower, unless I'm mistaken.

Correct, Novaz is a lvl 200 Shadower. Nice guy, too. Redface

Well, what's done, what's done. This event is probably going to go down as one of the important level 200's in MS history (literally).

LolFP, "FP sucks (expletive)", etc etc etc....

Not this time. Smile

About Taka: All I have to say is......I'd rather have MonkyMagic over that guy. The one trait that literally made everyone lose respect for him is his Voltaire-sized ego that followed with his "fast leveling". That story's for another day though, dont want to start stuff up right now.

(And yes, he burned out - that's one massive side effect of playing like 18 hrs/day, every single day during the summer, on 2x EXP cards like no tomorrow. I couldn't imagine the drama IF he had hit 200 first, wouldve been a massive disaster for the F/P's in GMS.)

Wow a lvl 200 f/p. Never thought the day would happen. Gratz to him for making it, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this day. Shame that I don't know the high lvl f/ps in scania (or pretty much any world) cause I would have smegad. (I saw the lvl 200 achievement but I didn't pay attention to the smegas cause I was going after a boss for a quest with my bl ... man I should have paid more attention).

all I can say is WOW O_O He really deserves respect for this.

It's true though, so many FPs do lose motivation. I don't know why though, because before I left a lot of the lolFP stuff had died down, people were starting to realise we don't suck, and I was literally begged for leech -_- (that stuff was annoying as hell though, and that alone made me not want to train).

But wow a FP getting to 200 is pretty inspiring o.o no one has any excuses now Big Grin

Marksman should have had at least a 200 by now. >.< And besides pirates, beginners are the last job to reach 200. The highest level beginner in any version is lvl 197 in TaiwanMS. And he's still grinding. Everyone is waiting for him to hit 200.

Gratz to him, now who is going to step up and be the second lvl 200 F/P? Hurt

Well, pretty much, the lolFP stuff still exists. It's just that before you probably don't remember most of it before you left. The most painful memories are repressed. Just these few weeks, my own friend asked me to pap thinking that I was a IL and when I said I was FP, said to me "what can a FP do at pap?" Another person, when I told him I was selling leech at WS, said "LoL you're FP?" And the worst one is that when I was at newties and needed a priest, this priest told me "LOL you're FP, IL please." Tongue

Thus, my explanation for a level 200 FP coming out this late is that FP are always insulted, and eventually and gradually, these degradations bring the FP to start over on a new class, or just quit. In a way, this post explains it:
WillDaSnail Wrote:LolFP, "FP sucks (expletive)", etc etc etc....

This reminds me once of a documentary on an experiment I saw, in which there were two groups of participants, both which almost the same IQs and test scores. However, while the first group was constantly praised, the second group was insulted and were made to feel uncomfortable.

After a few days of the same treatment, the first group began to perform significantly better on their tests, and the second groups fell behind by a substantial margin. Later, when the groups were switched, the first group degraded and put down and the second group praised, the second group had raised test scores while the first had lowered by almost 50%.

In the same way, the FPs have always been put down, therefore their lost confidence levels caused their performance to drop, while the IL pride allowed a IL to be first to the top of the magician chain.

Now that the IL is overplayed, and uniqueness is stressed, the FP had regained a bit of confidence and grinded there too.

I won't be 2nd, but I aim to be the only one to 200 (or as high as possible before I quit) to get there without the aid of 2x exp.

I guarantee you the vast majority of F/Ps over, say, 13x+ or so made their character before 4th jobs came out, so price isn't one big thing. I made an F/P simply because I love the concept of magic, and the class was the most appealing of the 3 at the time I advanced to 2nd job.

If people want to keep tabs (since I'm the creepy kid who looked up the Top 10 F/Ps in GMS, and still keep tabs on all of them), Vesote of Bera will be the next F/P to 200 (Lv. 194 currently).

Jesus...I think I would shoot myself before training a beginner that high. That's some dedication.

I unfortunately have been hooked on 2x exp. cards from lvl. 150+ (thank you, MTS), so if you do this, you get extra props from me. Wink Seriously, once you hit lvl 143 and see you need that first 100 million exp. needed to level, it's really demoralizing (I'm close to 200 million exp. to lvl and I'd hate to see Froznlite's exp. needed)

It's merely a goal. That's why I wrote "or as high as I get to before I quit". Since I still have about a year and a half to play, I estimate I'll be 17x-ish, the highest FP to have reached there without 2x. Seriously, who, other than me, DOESN'T use 2x these days? =(

And honestly, some of the classes, even WITH 2x, don't obtain as much exp an hour as mages on 1x, so it's not as bad as you think. Just... stay off of them.

By the way, what ever happened to that "SolarFIares" guy? I remember he was first at one point and then disappeared.

No idea. If he pops up on rankings let us know level/server.

And my EXP to level is 428m, which isn't all that bad. I thought it would feel worse and worse as I kept going, but honestly you get used to the exponential nature of the EXP graph, and become numb to it.

I try not to use 2x cards. The last time I used one was on my bandit from 48-50 in one session.

Although, I do try to take advantage of the 2x events. They're nice.

I've also stopped training my I/L until the leafre mini dungeons come out and I get an elemental staff. Too friggen crowded >.>

Thanks Everyone!

At Harrison. SoiarFiares was never number one, though he got very close to passing me. He IGN changed and is now Repair in Scania. He was 189 last i checked.
Also there is xFireMage27x of Scania who is 195 now who is the next highest FP that i'm aware of.

except f/p has elqueens, which can freeze. blizzard = meteor+elqueens

actually, ifrit is a piece of pomegranate, i don't even use it when i train.

edit: what the hell, this word censor sucks, it changed my post to say "pomegranate" ...

Ifrit sucks? Maybe for training, but it greatly improves bossing DPS. Besides, it doesn't really do much if you already 1-hit, does it?
