Ebola in Dallas, Texas

2) HIV is no where near the same level as Ebola. HIV is easily spread because you can have it but have no idea until it is faaaaaar too late. Ebola is not the case.

Ebola is hard to spread and it easily targets Africa because of the poor access to quality healthcare and superstition.

1. AIDS is a disease.
2. HIV's detectability is completely irrelevant to the fact that people do knowingly spread it.

This; if you truly have a morbid curiousity, google "poz" people, though most of their websites have been taken down so the worst of it is now scoured clean from the upper side of the internets, now it's just support group sites showing. Unfortunately, that was not always the case, it used to be pages of websites dedicated to people talking about the best ways to infect other people, how to get it, and other absolutely disgusting hobbies that they had, none of which can be mentioned directly on this site, though many involved crawling around on floors during what we will call "parties", searching for what we will refer to as "items" to injest.

AIDS is a disease. HIV is the virus that causes it. No idea how you got that wrong when the V in HIV stands for "Virus".

I don't really feel this justifies its own thread, so I'll just put it here.

The amount of morons that believe everything they read on the internet about Ebola concerns me.
How stupid can you be?

So... Ebola paranoia is getting out of hand. Sampling at my grocery store was banned due to "Ebola prevention." We also have to take extra cleanliness measures to prevent the spread of Ebola.

...I don't think they understand how it's spread.

Behold, Zmapp! (Or in other words, now that we have beaten mode of transmission to death...)

fyi this is NOT a vaccine so it can only treat, not prevent.

don't be.
they'll be fine.

ebola isn't airborne and it's not transmitted by mosquitoes.

besides, safari implies they'll be AWAY from people, so there's even that extra layer of surety.

Person from online: How's the Ebola thing going?

More Americans have also dated Taylor Swift than have died of Ebola.
