iamflip Wrote:So been hunting around to an answer to my question, and got nothing lol.

So let me ask again... can you transpose a soul weapon? I prefer not to be the guinea pig for this because I don't have money to get another staff. :c

so you want someone else to guinea pig their hard work away.... hm
try patience. just a little can work wonders

Instead of making a new thread I'll ask here.

How does the Murgoth event work? If I give him any soul does he let me pick from one of those souls he has listed in the event tab?

No. He'll give you an item for the Soul.

Anyone know the duration of the summon-type Soul Weapons? Spirit of Rock only lasts 30 seconds and Cygnus lasts 90 seconds apparently.

Not really sure how Soul Weapons work, but there's like normal souls and magnificent ones (Using the terminology from the patch notes)? I'm just guessing since I didn't check which souls are which, but it seems like:

Spirit of Rock
Normal? - 30/120

Cygnus:
Normal - 90/150
Magnificent - 120/150 (I'd wager this is probably the best summon, but I don't know how much damage they do)

Pink Bean
Normal - 60/150
Magnificent - 60/150

Hilla
Normal - 90/150
Magnificent - 180/300

Magnus
Magnificent - 120/180

Murgoth
Normal - 180/300
Magnificent - 180/300

Empress does 1000% normal and 1500% magnificent. Most magnificent souls are summons anyway. Magnus for instance, on normal hes a rushing skill but on magnificent hes a summon, dont know about the % dmg for him tho.

Dont fully take my word for it, since we still have the pre revamped version in EMS of soul weapons.

Krexel Wrote:We got em for some time in EMS, so I hope I can inform you enough with this:

1) I guess you mean which bosses are available and which boosts you get.

The following are available (I don't know the effects of some of them):

* Ani (Attack move)
* Rock Spirit (Summon)
* Balrog (Attack move)
* Mu Gong (Damage buff)
* Empress (Summon)
* Pink Bean (Summon)
* Magnus (Summon)
* Von Leon (Attack move)
* Hob King (Rush)
* Dragon Rider (Attack move)
* Zakum (Attack move)
* Pianus (???)
* Hilla (???)
* Ephinea (???)
* Akyrum (???)

Every soul has a standard attack (or magic for mages) boost, which will be the same for any soul. Once you have a soul on your weapon you will have 0/1000 charge. Killing monsters will fill this charge. Every 5% of charge will give you 1 attack, up to 20 when fully charged. You can use the boss active at 1000/1000, meaning you will have 0 attack boost again until you charge your soul again.

Every boss in the list above may randomly drop a piece of his soul. When you collected 10 pieces you can double click on the pieces to get a soul of that boss with a RANDOM prefix. For example you can get ''Lively Empress Soul'', which means you get a STR boost on top of the attack. Other examples are ''Wise'' (INT), ''Strong'' (Attack), or ''Great'' (Random 5% boss, 5% pdr, allstats, ...). These stats apply even if the charge is 0/1000.

2) Monsters drop 30% and 50% ''Soul Enhancers'' randomly. Bosses may also drop 100% ones. When you use this on any weapon it will unlock a soul slot (kinda like nebulites) if it passes. There is no boom rate. Once a weapon has a slot, you can put any soul into your weapon you wish. You can also replace them, however you will lose the soul which was on the weapon.

3) Yup, as described @ 2.

4) I can't recall any dungeon o.o

ephenia is HB 50% & 60%

Just a heads up though, Cygnus is a lightning type, though that shouldn't matter much, most bosses that would resist lightning are also physical resistant anyway, so its damage would probably be just as good the other souls.

I'm just wondering because mode switching from alpha to beta technically swaps your equipped weapon

But everything about the weapon is mirrored anyway o.o

TugboatWilly Wrote:Wouldn't it have been easier just to type "Yes"? Rolleyes

But would that be correct? I dunno.

If zero is in kms it's massively in favor of yes, but this is gms.

the stats are mirrored yes, but they're still two distinct items, switching modes swaps the two weapons between your primary and secondary slot so there's a good chance it'll reset the counter

You don't need a soul to test that you just log in and tag.

I... you....

how exactly would I test the soul counter resetting without a soul?

it does swap the weapons on the equip window when you tag, I was stating that as fact

You still have a soul counter without having a soul. You get weapon attack for it.

I know it swaps weapons when you tag, but that shouldn't affect this the way you think (if zero is in kms).
