I like how Black Mage nonchalantly answered Orchid's question about the birth of their powers. "Sure I guess, whatever, just shut up."
Whoa. Phantom. Freud. Such bros. Much friendship.
I'm surprised they actually use in game skills in the comic. Vol D'Ame and Damage Reflect? Factually accurate mechanics?!

So..... the Black Mage just up and gave some spirits human bodies one day because they asked for it and didn't even care if they served him or not?
That..... seems inconsistent with what we've seen of his character.

Is it? I might be missing something but isn't his only goal to gain power/knowledge and the destruction he has done was just to squash those that got in his way? If thats the case and he can give them bodies easily I don't see why he wouldn't, he also wouldn't care much what they did as long as they don't get on his way.

But we know they did.
Did he, though?

Am I the only one that actually thinks that the Black Mage isn't as evil as we believe?. He is obssesed with finding the ultimate light and he told us like a gazillion times that it was only found in ultimate darkness, and he already told us that he found a way to be the Ultimate darkness, so maybe he is just waiting for someone to be the ultimate light (cygnus maybe?).

There was a Demon and Damien backstory revelation? I thought it was still a mystery all this time. ;__;

You mean Darmoa? He's just another transcendent, I doubt he's any more of a threat than the Black Mage is.

I don't think so. Darmoa has the power of 2 transcendents and I believe he was close if not already has in possesion the third. Meanwhile The Black Mage just captured Alice when Shinso died and Zero is there to replace Rhinne. I believe Darmoa is the post-game villain Nexon has in store.

The Black Mage and Darmoor share similar traits as they're both the transcendent of life in different worlds.

Black mage is or was the trancendent of light not life.

So there is still the possibility of Fiel eating his shirt?
Oh, and I'd love to know how Orchid and Lotus came into being as spirits of darkness in the first place. Simply writing them in as that seems... Inadequate.

Maybe, etheir Darmoa/Darmoor is the post-game, or the Black Mage will absorb/destroy Darmoa or the Heroes of both dimensions will destroy him before the Black Mage.
Spadow; I think the one thing they share is they are the mortal ones. 2 Immortals, 1 mortal Transcendent.
I am sure Darmoor/Darmoa absorbed one of the Immortal ones when Grandis fell, I believe it is explained by the dragon in the Angelic Buster Storyline.

My mistake, you're correct. Black Mage is the transcendent of light.

The Black Mage and Darmoor are both transcendents, evil, have great power and both stole the powers of the trancendent of life in their respective world.
For now, little is known about the rest of the transcendents of the Grandis world.

Iona disappeared, and is probably completely out of Darmoa's reach, being in a place only light can reach or some other poetic babble like that.
Darmoa might have the power of two transcendents, but we don't know what that means other than this violation of natural order happens to tear holes between dimensions, at least between Maple World and Grandis. We don't know what Darmoa intends to do, all we know about him is that he survived the genocide of his people, awakened as the transcedent of life and snapped, and began to conquer Grandis (probably in a twisted desire to preserve life). For all we know, he cares little of Maple World. Presumably, he also has big plans, though, otherwise, he probably wouldn't have attacked Chronica.
We know that the Black Mage definitely has plans for both worlds, to merge them and to control the other transcedents of the unified world; he even has a candidate in mind for the new transcedent of life, so either he can manipulate Alice or Darmoa, or he's planning on getting rid of the two of them so he can install someone who's already loyal to him. (Can anyone become a transcedent, or must you be marked with the potential at birth?)
Darmoa's powers seem impressive, but he reeks of being a pawn, even if unwittingly. It's completely insular of me to say this, but: he's powerful, yes, but he isn't currently a direct threat to Maple World.
In regards to similarity, they both awakened as transcendents before possibly turning completely away from their domains, the Black Mage from light to darkness, Darmoa from life to death (this is just me presuming that conquering a dimension causes a lot of collateral damage). They both attacked the transcendents of time of their respective worlds. Both were pretty successful, but Rhinne managed to birth a new transcendent of time that escaped the Black Mage. Chronica wasn't so lucky, I would assume, given that one transcendent actually possessing the power of another is what causes the rip between the two worlds, so I doubt Chronica could pull a Rhinne and pass their power onto a successor to keep the power away from Darmoa.

I agree with everything you said except Darmoa being a pawn. I thik Darmoa began messing with Maple World even BEFORE the Black Mage went bad. Afterall he sent Magnus to steal power from Maple World. If it went like it was said, Guwarus previous life power also belongs to Darmoa.
And does anyone know if every other commander/previous commander will get the web comic treatment? I would love me some Hilla story. Trade it all for beauty seems too bland, would like to see more to it.

If I had to guess with my limited knowledge of her story it would be that she was an outcast in her own city then maybe she started to mess with dark magic and she was talented at it and the black mage made a deal with her.
