Getting 6IVs seem to be incredibly luck based. Your Destiny Knot would have to land on 5 different IVs and the 6th will need to roll 31 out 31. Of course, another way is to get 2 5 IV Pokemon that cover the other's missing IV and use a Power item to guarantee the 6th IV to carry over.

However, this would mean you're giving up the everstone so no guaranteed nature.

Howeverr, if you have a 5IV with the correct nature, breeding a 6IV with this method with the wrong nature won't matter as much as you can always put the everstone on the other. Or you can get lucky with the nature.

Howeverrr, the chance of getting a 6IV with the correct nature is still a better chance than getting a shiny, so it's still worth trying with just the knot and stone.

Howeverrrr, another thing to keep in mind is if you're a special attacker, getting perfect attack would mean harder confusion damage to yourself, right?

Not sure if you've mentioned this before, but equipping a EV training/power item (power band, bracer, lens, etc) on one of the parents will guarantee that corresponding stat IV to be passed down. I think it only works on one parent and might count towards the 5 IV thing for the destiny knot. I've tried equipping a power item on each parent, but only managed to get one of the random IVs passed down, not both. This could be a little useful whenever you're in a situation looking for a particular missing IV to be passed on.

Everstone is more important than getting 6 IV's imo. I don't know I've been really unlucky lately, the Destiny knot keeps passing the wrong parents IV's down and is taking me nearly the entire day to get the right ability/IV's. :|

Took me two box of Caterpie before I got one with 31/xx/31/31/31/31 to breed with my 31/31/31/31/31/31 French Scatterbug. Kept passing attack.

But now the journey to a Shiny begins.

I'm struggling to breed a Shuckle with MINIMAL Attack/Special Attack/Speed IVs and max Defense/Special Defense. It's a headache. At least it kept Knock Off as an Egg Move...

Maybe you can catch regular shuckles from smashing rocks instead of the friend safari. And you can keep breeding those until you get low/0 IV into att/sp att/speed? Then after, you can just breed it with something that has 31 IVs into def/sp def.

I'm wondering what you're planning on doing with that shuckle. Shuckle seems to be better at annoying people in this generation than any other. Taunt/trick ruins it, but I can see the huge annoyance look from people when it can successfully pull it off. In trick room teams, it can annoy with infestation/yawn/toxic/rest with a chesto berry.

[COLOR="#cc8899"]Toxic Spikes support and Infestation, Protect, Rest, Power Split/Knock Off. If you taunt it, it's still got 2 ways to do something annoying. Knock Off absolutely RUINS several pokemon that rely on items to do their job (even hitting the Leftovers off of a wall can be a big deal). Infestation is guaranteed 1/8 damage per turn, nothing's immune to it, and Protect guarantees that it'll do at least 1/4 of something's HP. Infestation and Knock Off give Shuckle something to do when taunted. Basically just there to annoy people and/or cripple a major threat. Debating Leftovers/Binding Band for him...

Under ideal circumstances he'd be trapping a toxic'd enemy and adding his own damage over time through Infestation. Worst case he simply acts as a item-killer. Power Split would be an alternative to Knock Off to cripple sweepers, given the way it works making boosts almost complete ineffective and also increasing Shuckle's longevity.[/COLOR]

destiny knot will always grab 5 different IV's, going down the list, so it won't grab attk from both the parent and mother.
using a power item with the destiny knot however, will have that specific IV be passed down regardless of what the destiny knot chooses, so if the destiny knot picks mom's HP/atk/def/spatk/spdef and the dad had a power lens, the destiny knot would pass only 4 stats there and the dad would pass his spatk.

i need to test if you can use the above along with the destiny knot reset to get 6-IV pokes faster.

Just get a Sylveon or a Skitty. Cute charm makes the encounter rate of the opposite gender 66%. They have to be in front of the party like a synchronize pokemon.
