So now that TI3 is over, what changes will be hitting the top picks? As much as I'd hate to admit it, Furion definitely was incredibly powerful in the hands of Bulldog. I sense a nerf to Treants in some way, or even nerfing Teleport in some way. Wisp may be hit harder since Io essentially guaranteed a victory to whoever held the Wisp in the whole Grand Finals.

I think Furion is fine. He's a strong pick, especially in the current metagame, but he's no game changer. The heroes I most expect to be nerfed are Bat, Wisp, and Alchemist.

I wonder how Icefrog could nerf the Alchemist without making him a crap pick. Lower the max gold of Greevil's Greed? Lower the max damage/stun rate of Unstable Concoction? Raise the BAT of Chemical Rage?

I heard a rumor about refraction getting new sound-files.
So either it's getting reworked in the upcoming update or valve are just reworking the visuals of TA. If the rumor is true that is.
Also i honestly feel alchemist is fine, except for his super early perssence. Regardless of if he's a carry or support i feel his stun is a bit too good early on, especially as a carry. but nerfing it makes him worse as a support. Nerfing his base int and buffing his int-gain so it ends up at the same later on would be one way to handle it, i suppose. Or make it scale far better with charging it up so it's way more trash if not charged up.
Not sure.
Honestly one of the problems comes from shadow blade, not that it's too strong of an item but it's just too good with alchemist and suits him so well. And his innate insane regen lets him stay and battle 5ever without returning to base.

Funnily enough, those are some of the big buffs he got in 6.75 and 6.76. He was a pretty trash hero before that point from what I've heard and seen. It's not the hard carry alch that's the problem, nor the ganking prowess of alch once he gets shadow blade.
imo he's just too much of a jack-of-all-trades hero, just like Lifestealer and Weaver are. And just like BKB is as an item (which I think contributes a lot to his power, incidentally).
anyhow maybe either nerf or completely remove the mana regen on ultimate, make him not able to stay out and spam concoctions+acid spray from level 6 onwards without a couple pairs of arcanes on his team. makes him flat-out bad as a support and a bit worse as a mid without hurting the hard carry potential of the hero very much. maybe make it go 1/5/12 to emphasize getting that level 16 just like the MS and regen work. I dunno, I'm just throwing out ideas.

also I'd be super surprised if TA got a visual update before heroes like Shadow Friend, Storm, Bananamancer, Viper, Slardar, Zues, and the one or two others that are confirmed to be on the VU list. She's much better off than any of them.

- Runes now draw in the minimap for spectators.
- Increased the penalty for not readying up from 45 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Spectator stats dropdown is unlocked while listening to broadcasters.
- Added a preference and cvar "dota_spectator_use_broadcaster_stats_panel" to allow spectators to have full control over the stats panels.
- Private (friend/guild) lobbies now display their game name so that those browsing lobbies can get more info on what the lobby is for.
- Changed drag-select of units to use the same hit detection as click-select. This fixes a number of issues where units would not get selected.
- Fixed bugs that were allowing edge panning to be enabled during drag-select.
- Reduced CPU usage of drag-select.
- Fixed some newline formatting errors in the combat log.
- Prevented guides for the previously-played hero from erroneously showing up at the start of the next game.
- Added AOE hover indicator for Death Pulse.

Economy
- Added Waldi courier, Ocula ward, 3 HUDs and 14 hero item sets to the store.
- Updated Sniper's workshop model files with improved weighting, including corrected smd files.

Audio
- Fixed bad interactions with some looping sounds and FoW.
- Fixed Reincarnate stinger sometimes playing late when triggered in vision but out of hearing range.
- Fixed some item cast sounds that could be heard through FoW.
- Typing "tu" in chat no longer triggers hero "thank you" lines.

Mac/Linux
- Fixed crash when using certain spells / illusions on Intel HD4000. [Mac]
- Fixed intermittent crash when cmd-tabbing. [Mac]
- Fixed issues with older PulseAudio installations. [Linux]
- Improved stability when showing webpages.
- Allow setting language of audio and text separately, through Steam. (Text comes from Steam's language, audio comes from the language set in Dota 2's properties on Steam)
- Made Dota2 respond to window manager requests to close it.
- Fixes to make Dota2 work on a broader set of video cards on Linux
- Fixed key repeat to work in text entry windows.
- Fixed loading screens to show an image instead of a black screen
- Fixed a bug preventing multiple users from playing Dota2 (at different times) on a machine.
- Fixed sounds not working when a matchmaking game is ready to start. Added a desktop notification on Linux
- Added XBox 360 spectating controller support.
- Fixed crash on hero selection screen on Linux.
- Fixed a rendering bug when turning off Specular in advanced video settings.
- Fixed mouse offset bug and window size/aspect ratio issue when moving from full screen to windowed modes.

The hell does that mean? Weren't you able to use Time Lapse just right after leveling it or what? He's one of my favorite Heroes and I didn't knew that happened o.o I don't play Disruptor so I wouldn't mind either way.

It didn't start tracking until you used it.
Examples:

Pre-fix:
You start fight at level 5, max health, shortly into the fight you get level 6 at half health and level up ult instantly. You ult. You stay at half health.
Post fix:
You start fight at level 5, max health, shortly into the fight you get level 6 at half health and level up ult instantly. You ult. You return to max health.


Also, i'll be so disappointed if legion commander doesn't go "It's time to duel" when she ulties. (Her ulti is literally called "Duel" and forced you to fight another player with only auto attacks(both you and the other person are doomed, no items or spells) AKA maximum manfight, also:
"• The victorious player has to announce 'WINNER!' in allchat."

Then again, i am still disappointed that ogre/jakiro/Alch don't go "It's time for trouble, and make it double."

Note that these leaks may very well be what the beta testers(dota1 beta testers) are currently testing but that does not mean they are changes that will ever actually be implemented, Ice Frog tends to test any crazy idea he gets in the beta versions. There was a beta version where venomancer ulti damaged and affected buildings, for example.

CM movespeed buff! Not liking the Ogre nerf. Latching to the chakram would be really cool, but probably not worth buying aghanim's for.

The Skeleton king reincarnation buff seems pretty strong. That's a big aoe stun.

Not sure about the changes to the popular competitive heroes.

Poison Sting on Plague Wards? Enjoy your permanent cancer. That skill would be pretty pineappleing good if Veno wasn't a fragile support that doesn't get much of a chance to auto attack. 14% slow through BKB is no joke, Sven and Ursa already get kited all day even with move speed buffs.

Overall those changes would be pretty good, though the bat range nerf would be excessive and probably make him less fun.

- Lockless Luckbox: Replaced Lone Druid item 'Skull of Xahryx' (head slot) with 'Form of the Onyx Grove' (true form).

Not sure if it's the only update this week, since it's come a bit early and directly into the main client i think.

This is weird. This was all on a reddit thread about changes people would make. Something fishy is going on.

Nothing fishy really, that just confirms it as fake. There are plenty of fake leaked beta patch notes. But the real ones often seem like the most crazy so i generally keep an open mind as to what might actually come from the actual beta map.
I mean i thought the leaks that talked about centaur double edge becoming AOE seemed like the fakest thing in the world, but that ended up being quite true.
But if most of these changes come from what people have said on reddit, then yeah, confirmed fake i suppose.
