Girasol Has Withdrawn

So suddenly?

Girasol had to have been, hands down, the best Nexon employee I'd ever seen. Talking with the community, getting our input on what we'd like to see in the game... and she came through to us. She took the time to seek our bug discoveries... and within her power, she delivered. And most of all- she was friendly. She wasn't afraid to show us her personality. That takes a respectable amount of willpower coming from an official... and I really did appreciate her earnest efforts to help Maple to become a better experience for us all.

I'd hate to be redundant, but we'll all miss you, Girasol. There will never be another Southperrian quite like you. :[

I wonder if this has to do with Marvel 2x and the crazy rates for good stuff.
She did say she was a big part of "cleaning up" gach and marvel.

Maybe making the gambling part of this game worthwhile was something Nexon couldn't handle?
Or maybe she posed plans to remove %accuracy and %avoid and other crap from potential pools. Nexon probably sees that as basically mutiny or something.

The thing is, Girasol was the reason behind those changes. She pushed for them and it sounded like she even went through the gach list manually and took out all the BS and put in good stuff that should have been in there in the first place. Probably the same with Marvel.

I can imagine their sales spiked today because of Marvel. Hell, even I bought NX. But maybe the large influx of Tyrants and RA gear is something the rest of Nexon didn't want.
As for gach, I know I'll be spending way less on cubes now that I can start at unique with all these unique pot 60%s coming out. And tradeable pos chaos 50%s. Much less need for return scrolls now. And those are just two examples.

This blow is as hard as NxJoeW and NxProse.

I will forever appreciate everything you have done for us, Girasol. I really do hope that you visit us soon, perhaps a lurk?, and see this thread, just to see how much you are loved and how much we appreciate your work and dedication within Nexon. Yeah, the good things Girasol's done that involved monetary profits may explain why she left. While we would hope this isn't true it's very telling that Girasol left just after this round of Marvel.

We won't forget what you have done for the MapleStory community, Girasol.

Was sort of thinking that myself the second I saw this thread.

Not really something that direct, but I would be surprised if it wasn't at least a little bit due to Nexon itself.

I wonder what their employee retention rate is over a couple of years, honestly. We only know when PR people go, but what about everyone else? I really do wonder how quickly people get fed up and leave.

Regardless, you will definitely be missed Girasol. I keep myself a mile away from GMS at all times, but even I appreciated all of your input.

Really sad to hear this.. You'll be missed along with Hime and others. Feeling blah about this all.
