Most emotional anime you ever watched?
#21
Spirited Away had me full of every emotion known to man. I still get emotional watching that movie now... It's so beautiful.

Also, full metal alchemist brotherhood had some episodes that just hit me hard.
Episode 4 "An Alchemist's Anguish" being a prime example.

I like how you went with a movie that had you displaying an emotion that wasn't sadness. REBEL RIGHT HERE.

Berserks ending man.... that crap came out of nowhere and punched me right in the stomach. I was both extremely confused, angry, sad, scared and startled. I've never felt so lost and empty after the end to an anime before.

Then I read some of the manga and it all makes sense now.

I know there's one of these animes in my list, I just can't remember it right now.

Episode 8 and the couple coming after struck me. As for the ending, when I finished watching I wasn't sure if to cry or to punch the pomegranate out of my monitor. I've come to the a conclusion though, it's the worst ending I've ever seen.

for a series that doesn't take itself seriously, that ending is VERY bittersweet. the movie fixed it a bit though, but even so, the KK team QQ

Kemono no Souja Erin, for me.

That anime was so heartwarming from start to finish for me. Extremely sad at some parts, happy at others. I still go back to watch some of my favorite scenes from that show, especially in episodes 5,6, 20, and 49.

No, besides Evangelion I don't think I've watched another Gainax anime, and Evangelion's ending wasn't that bad for some reason. I guess I was more busy trying to figure out the meaning of the ending.

Lucky Star had a mood whiplash in one of its episodes too (if that's what you're talking about). I was just about to start crying then...well, they managed to turn the scene into a joke somehow.

Might you be referring to the episode where Kagura couldn't sleep? That one was priceless, as is the ending of the Renho arc.

Both of those, as well as the Observation Journal about Hasegawa.
