Also, lowering the mastery level of Blood Drain means you don't have to choose between Blood Drain and Booster in 2nd job.

I have every 2nd job still maxed anyway with the extra SP from a really easy quest you get in 2nd job.

Hex of the Beholden now gives critical rate, which seems out of place compared to the other stats. There is a new effect between Gungnir Descent and Dark Impale regarding PDR ignore. Dark Impale hyper skills have been changed to Gungnir Descent hyper skills. Looks like dragons aren't coming back for sure.

Personally I would like it if it gave min or max crit damage instead since I am currently sitting on top of 100% crit rate. Oh well, suppose that explorer critical ring I got ages ago couldn't last forever.

A Paladin's secondary weapon seems to trigger shield mastery, and it looks like (I hope) the status resistance bonuses of shield mastery were buffed, as well as the defense.

Maximum critical damage would be preferred... I think we're already capped by our base maximum critical damage with Lord of Darkness, Reincarnation and Weapon Expert. Perhaps changing Lord of Darkness or Reincarnation to maximum critical damage would be nice. Oh, and about that whole critical rate not fitting in with the stats and all, it also doesn't have a symbol to represent it in the animation! Alas, this job is dead to me.

My take on reading it is that they replaced the regular books with a generic lvl 20 and a generic lvl 30 book that you can buy from an NPC and will apply to any skill you choose.

That would be golden. Though I would still prefer quests, that could be used for 5th job and this will be a good meso sink.
