Obscenity

That is kinda harsh Hurt I see no reason why they wouldn't renew the ad service though.

I just took a look at the thread.... I would have to agree with Google on this one.

" If your site has content which you wouldn't be comfortable viewing at work or with family members around"

Pretty sure that thread was NSFW.

Annoying stuff. Goes to show I am on the right track blocking the social section completely I guess.

Googles pretty reasonable.
Their app engine service is fun. I have a proxy set up there to access basic stuff
Just appeal and it'll get sorted out.

I guess a better question to ask is, have we had this problem recently? I think southperry has been pretty tame, a lil questionable, here and there, but overall I think we fit the standard, so I guess that says something.

I've been getting ads for a "Roman Orgy" here for a few weeks, but this is what they throw a fit over? >_>

I think ads are based on what sites you have visited before if I remember correctly.

Nonetheless, I suppose their reason for doing so is legitimate.

Uh. Doesn't look particularly accidental here;

Google Wrote:Hello,

This message is to alert you that one of your websites is not currently in compliance with our AdSense program policies and as a result, ad serving has been disabled to your website.

Issue ID#: blahblah

Ad serving has been disabled to: southperry.net

Example page where violation occurred: http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=9548&page=6

Action required: Check all other remaining sites in your account for compliance.

ADULT/PORNOGRAPHY: As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on pages with pornographic content. This includes photos or videos which contain full nudity or sexual activities. More information about this policy can be found in our help center ( https://www.google.com/adsense/support/a...wer=105957 ).

Action required: Check account for compliance

While ad serving has been disabled to the above site, your AdSense account remains active. Please be aware that the URL above is just an example and that the same violations may exist on other pages of this website or other sites you own. Therefore, we suggest that you take the time to review the rest of your sites to ensure that they’re in compliance with our policies, and to monitor your sites accordingly to reduce the likelihood of future policy emails from us. Additionally, please note that our team reserves the right to disable accounts at any time if we continue to see violations occurring.

I'm sure I have never made an obscene post in my time here.

Useless posts? More likely, however.

I don't recall any websites I've visted recently being related to Roman Orgies, but I've had this ad popping up for the past few months now.

You can't blame the users of today for what the users of yesteryear did 4 years ago. It is of my opinion that KhainiWest is on the right track on how this should be handled.

It is also of my opinion that Google Adsense is mentally retarded.

Now that we have a more objective measuring stick for obscenity, I don't think anyone should have a problem with how harsh the rules have to be enforced. Unless we want to fund SP some other way, this is how the game will go.

Well fortunately most of the perverts who felt this wasn't fair have left. I think everyone agree's, even without the notice, pornography is rather easy to avoid and isn't really acceptable considering what we advertise our audience to be. I think the trigger could be handled better, but as sapta said, it's just a stain essentially that'll wipe away. I hope you know my suggestion was merely feedback eos and not a demand or a claim of unfairness.

Couldn't checked that thread, Was it a old thread?
I remember when I put a video in shenanigans about a crossover of Panty&Stocking with Angelic Buster, I can pretty much say that crossed the line since well... they were strippin'. Still the site didn't get this infraction, was it because it was deleted so fast? If not, then Google Ads is really bad at judging.

What's up with the Infraction Appeal subforum?
What's the purpose? Says there's 12 threads in it but I can't access it.

Its for people who have been perma-banned to appeal their ban to the moderators/administrators directly, only they can see it.

Oooh, I thought it was something like, before someone gets an infraction it goes to a vote, if it passes you well it applies, but can appeal it in there or some sort of that.

It's not just permabans, it's any infraction with a point value (so not warnings) and other restrictions of access.

The number of threads I can "see" (but not access) is related to "me" the user or to everyone?

-------------

So that means no more "Supporting Site Via Ads"?
What about Locked's avatar? He will certainly be avatarless now Sad

AHha, seriously, for that thread? I bet it didn't cover the JoeTang god of lolis thread.

Google AdSense is being retarded. THAT'S 4 YEARS OLD. I bet half the images don't even exist anymore.
